Great video with underwater footage! I have never seen anyone attach a camera to the bottom! Surprised you didn’t spray the hull to seal it. Using just PLA or PETG alone isn’t waterproof for long. I imagine your boat did take on water. The wise placement of battery and weights offset your huge motor, so I was very happy to see you made it work! Great video as usual!

Thank you. I experienced it for 5 days. It didn't take any water. I printed PLA with 0.15 layer height and 220 degrees. And I think this is useful in terms of waterproofing. But I don't know if the situation will change after weeks.

@@MCsCreations I have printed boats at 0.12 and 220c just as mentioned above but I do find it takes on water always. However, simply by spraying clear over (I do 2-3 coats) prevents any water and also adds strength to the hull. It’s literally just a few cents of paint required that goes a long way when you consider battery, motor, esc and receiver costs so it is well worth the extra 20 minutes to apply.

@@Kendin-Yap I guess you are lucky! I have made multiple boat hulls over the years at 0.12 @ 220c and always get water penetration despite 4 -5 perimeters. My printer is perfectly dialed in, it’s not under extruding. Building RC boats, planes etc for 40 years so immediately went back to coating it with clear. Zero problems after that. Just an extra tip, I recommend a small amount of silicon sealant on your receiver cables before adding the balloon/zip tie. I do it this way for all my boats, and it never leaks if the boat capsized and took in water. Hope that helps! Thanks for your videos, your approach and designs are terrific! Keep it up!

Üzgünüm ben boş vakit buldukça hobi olarak uğraşıyorum. İş hayatım çok yoğun olduğu için bir projeyle ilgilenmem mümkün değil.

Bu bir tercih meselesi. Artıları eksileri vardır. Ben Teknelerde dıştan takma motorları daha çok severim. Ayrıca şaft sistemleri tekne içine çok az da olsa su sızmasına sebep oluyor.

I used it at sea for about 120 minutes in a total of 4 days. No problems occurred. But for the long run you may be right. In this case, paint or varnish can be used to isolate the glue from water contact. And in this way, I think that there will be no problems for long use.

Abi merhaba. 2 yıl önce rc uçak yapmıştın kumandasınıda kendin yapmıştı (joystickli ve 4 kanallı) o uçaktaki devreyi 7.4v batarya ile beslemiştin ama arduino max 5v nrf24l01 max 3.6v ile çalışıyor. 7.4v batarya ile devreye zarar gelirmi? kzread.info/dash/bejne/lHhr1LObnrbIlc4.html bu vidyo. 7.4V batarya ESC ye takılıyor. ESC lerin BEC devreleri yani regülatörleri vardır. Ve çıkış voltajını yaklaşık 5V a düşürürler. Ayrıca Arduino devreleri harici (USB değil) girişlerinde 7-12V arlığını desteklerler. Kendi içerisinde 5V a düşürür. NRF modülü ise 3.3V pin çıkışndan besleniyor.
