I was so addicted to this underrated series - I haven't watched something so good in decades - I didn't want season 5 to end - I was hoping there would a season 6 but heard there would be none :( The acting and makeup and filmography is just amazing I hope they win many awards - I might even watch this all over again - soooooo good . I want more please :) I hope we get surprised with a movie or a season 6 please

This is the best series I've ever watched. I loved Alexander's role. He's a brilliant actor with a great voice.

This seems like the greatest group of people to hang out with all day. I will miss this show - it’s one of the greatest. When recommending it to others I described it as the poor man’s Game of Thrones… but I ended up liking Last Kingdom more than GoT. Better characters and a final seasons that wraps everything up in a way that respects the viewer of several years. Thank you crew, writers, directors, actors for this great piece of entertainment.

Agreed. The quality of the first three seasons of GoT was greater, but then the series tanked. I can't even watch it any longer knowing that the set ups meant nothing. The Last Kingdom had me caring about the characters right up to the end and the story and plot were riveting with a satisfying conclusion.

@@JustTheFlecks Yes, it's supposed to be called Seven Kings Must Die and it'll be released on Netflix this year hopefully. I can't wait. I have yet to watch Vikings since I need to take a break from The Last Kingdom. Season 5 was really emotional.

Most underrated series ever!!! Not sure what went wrong there. It deserved better recognition then vikings.

Because many ppl do not trust Netflix to create anything good. If it was HBO promoting it, then it would have been a much different outcome.

My brother just told me about this show about 2 weeks ago, and I just finished the last episode ;___; Does anyone else feel lost after finishing it!? All I could think about after work/school was going home and watching it, and now that I'm finished, I'm trying to get all The Last Kingdom content I can xD Gonna start up the books while I wait for the movie I just found out they wrapped up! Super sad there won't be another season, but I'll take whatever I can get lmao. Can't believe I got so hooked on this show I'm obsessing for more xD Haven't obsessed for content like this since I finished HunterxHunter hahaha.

Lost so I am binge watching Season 1. Like I said after GOT blew up (Dan and Dave OMG) I found this (and of course some historical videos) and I just loved it. "The Crew" was awesome all the way through. First with Clappa, Leofric etc and then Utred hooks up with Finan, Sihtric and Baby Monk. Og I'm going to cry. And what about the women in this show just fabulous

I grieved this series like I had actually lost something.. that's the only way I can describe how I felt! I was devastated to learn that Æthelflaed, Osferth and Sigtryggr, just to name a few, died in the finale.. I had hoped that Uhtred and Æthelflaed would live happily ever after 💔 I am so excited for the movie!

Arnas’ hair in the Sihtric/Pyrlig fight scene should be used for a shampoo commercial. That man has incredible hair and I’m gonna miss seeing what new style they come up with each season. Lol. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

It shows how much hard work goes into crafting these fight scenes. You have to admire the actors for their dedication. I too really liked this series, depicting as it does the saga of the creation of England alongside the fictional story of Uhtred. When Netflix and the others make these series they are doing history a great service because otherwise people, especially children, tend not to be interested. Yes, these is lots of dramatic licence but the main historical themes are brought out with huge attention to detail. Bravo.

I came late to the series. Binged watched all 5 seasons first week of May, then downloaded the first 6 books and read them, rewatched the entire series again, have downloaded the last 7 books and have finished reading them, and watched the entire series again for the third time. It is the best blend of historical facts and fantastic fiction. Cannot get enough. Have also enjoyed the various podcasts out there. Interesting insight into the filming of TLK and the various cast and crew. Have never been so invested in the whole production before. Cannot wait for the movie to come out. You can tell from the podcasts how much the cast really bonded with each other and how much they respect each other and how much they have enjoyed the whole experience.

OMG!!!! what an incredibly AWESOME series. Thumbs up for the director and all the actors, every single actor did an excellent job. I'm still and for ever grateful I got to see it and enjoy every second of it. EXCELLENT!

Those intense and up close battles scenes where someone is coming to help are some of my favorite scenes. Beautiful

Just finished watching the series and watched the movie tonight. Easily one of the top 5 underrated shows of all time! Every single actor, episode and story arc was simply brilliant. Love seeing Emily Cox as herself and RIP Lord Aldhelm. Next to Finan, one of the best wingman EVER written! Seeing these behind the scenes shots of how this awesome show was made makes me love it even more. The stunt work alone, not to mention the choreography is simply breathtaking. Honestly did not want this show to end and hope we see these actors in other things down the road.

I can’t believe myself becoming traitor and to betrayed my beloved Viking Ragnar over Uhtred 😝♥️. Never in my life watched 5 seasons without a skip. I binged the whole season in 3 days I can’t stop but rather sleep deprived. And I still not get enough of this show, I need more of it. This show deserves so much more and all characters need to be praise for doing so well in their roles. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ they deserve over 5 stars. I’m in love with Uhtred 😊Bring him back and make him the last King of all Kingdoms. I haven’t read the book yet, I would be so sad if Uhtred die in the seven kings must die which is coming out soon! 😢

I mean, he's probably about 70 years old I the time line of 7 Kings must die, I'd say it was time..

I just discovered this series on Netflix and binge watch S1 to 5 in just 3 days. I saw the movie version at the top 5 of netflix and thought I should watch the series first before the movie so yeah, I'm addicted to it now. I want more episodes even though I know S5 is the last season.

The Last Kingdom was definitely one of the best series of Netflix. I loved this show with a passion brilliant director including actors and actresses ❤ 😍 💕

The Last Kingdom is an amazing series. The actors are fantastic, it's clear that they were really getting on great whilst working together. The costumes, makeups, are really god and the very re-creation of entire villages! I am already missing it. And eagerly awaiting the movie. But I don't understand why they didn't do one more series. So far, they covered about 2 books per season, most seasons comprising 8 to 10 episodes of 1 hour each. Now there are 3 books left - and a movie is a max of 2 hours long! A series 6 would have been better...

@@MsDidi38 those books are worth reading for sure. Every author whose books have been adapted says that there are things which cannot be brought to the TV or cinema screen. And they are right. Sharing a story in writing is not the same thing as sharing it on screen. Writers do not have to consider the limits imposed by budgets, sets, etc. So as a reader, you will necessarily feel that there is so much more in the books. Bernard Cornwell writes engagingly and you will immediately feel you're in Uthred's mind, with his point of view on his world. There are a lot of books, look online for 'saxon tales by Bernard Cornwell' or even 'the last kingdom books' to find websites listing them in the order they must be read.

All Netflix drama series movies are addicted....this movies very good friend in the weekend...sit and watch till the end...

I literally inhaled these 5 seasons in a matter of a few days and it was absolutely amazing. At first I thought it was some weird and cheap Netflix production you can’t watch more than one episode of but they really put themselves above all my expectations! Such a lovely crew and cast, this should have had much much more seasons.

You know they are great actors and actresses when if you see them out of acting, you recognize them but don't if you know what I mean. LOVE THIS SHOW!! 💪🛡🏹🥇🥇

The last Kingdom, phenomenal, if you have not yet seen it, DO SO, it is amazing!! Beyond amazing, just next level awsome. It is that good, you actually feel a sense of loss once it's finished, I was so upset, you get to love so many of these crazy characters.

The only show that ever made me feel this way was Sinbad when I was a child… I’m not even sure if it was any good but as a kid who didn’t even speak English and understand what I was watching yet, it was such a big exciting adventure to me, and now The Last Kingdom has given me the same feelings as an adult 😊 Thank you all so much for all of your incredible hard work and for all of these new cinematic memories ❤
