Good day!!
This knife means 'sword' in Old English. In High German, it is called saks. These words meant to cut something. The main users are Anglo-Saxons and Germanic tribes, and it is a multi-purpose knife originally used for cutting meat or cutting meat after slaughter.

I love this "Viking" inspired Seax small cleaver. Very different & clever putting the rivets into the blade. Another nice cleaver for your collection.
I agree the rivits make a beautiful finely crafted knfe look cheap, don't cheapen your work by such addons your work doesn't need help its very fine. Iike seeing your young lady taking an interest in the forge

really nice knife but it for sure isn't a seax, looks really good though but I don't like the brass studs in the blade personally

i don´t get it, forging the tip and the grind it away, what are the rivets for? Sems like showboating to me. This is not forging.

That was on its way to be a nice knife, (not a seax), until you drilled the holes in the blade.... The two piece rivets make it look cheap. Your skills have come a long way since you first started, you do a good job, don't cheapen your work.

Thanks for watching. I'm regretting punching this knife. And rivet admits it was a bad choice.

sempre tutto OK
