To those who want to know the thickness of the leather, I estimated it to be 3-4 oz of veg tanned leather. I will use a 3oz leather for this strap though. Have a great day people✌🏼

Looks like a burnishing gum. Search for Tokonole Burnishing Gum.

I think it's just an aesthetic choice,@@yosalut9790, to make the edges look more finished. Though others could correct me if there is a protective component to burnishing.

From all the videos that I've been seeing on watch bands, you want 1mm or less thickness. I would recommend veg tan buttero, I get mine from Rocky Mountain leather supply, I bought a whole hide for $200, but they sell smaller pieces too. Made mine for a Samsung smart watch. 22mm width band using 2mm thick leather which appears to be identical to what this guy is using.

I'm going to try to make this style of watch band but I do wish there was a pdf pattern

@@eemo2093 The pattern?... A ruler and a watch. measure the buckle side so the buckle lands in the middle of your wrist and you'll avoid discomfort of the buckle digging into your wrist or the watch face not being centered on your wrist.

Thanks for the video! Probably not the best choice to repeat the first movement of Beethoven's moonlight sonata so many times. It was intended to be played once. Mozart piano sonatas would be a good alternative, but don't repeat a single movement.
