I never thought a video about baling hay could be so fascinating, but it was. It was very educational and informative about living the homestead life. I loved the entire video but my favorite part was when the whole family sat together as Andy ate his dinner. Another great part was when Meagan was leaving to take the kids back home, her and Andy said love ya to each other. Some may say that people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are the richest people in the world. I don't think so, the Lawson family is rich beyond worldly measure with their love for the Lord, each other, the animals, and the land. My prayer is that God will continue to bless this family with good health and an abundant harvest.

I loved how your daughter wanted to eat dinner with her daddy. That's a sign of a good upbringing. Such a sweet family and hardworking to boot.
I'm envious of Andy's father. He gets to enjoy the satisfaction of knowing and seeing how he raised his son up RIGHT. I'm 75. My boy's been gone since '78. I know what I have missed. I ENJOY watching the UNITY of your family. It's the BEST part of your videos. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I had JUST said to my wife that the field must be smelling amazing when you said "I wish you could smell it." There's nothing else like that.

Maybe there could be candles made with the scent of fresh cut hay❤
My mother used to tell me "you better make hay while the sun shines". She would say this about everything except hay since we never had any. Now I understand.

I was told that too growing up
I think I could go to sleep listening to the sound of that Ford tractor.
The toothless little smile on the end of the video is worth a million bucks! 😍

That's exactly what I was thinking 😂
You guys are definitely not lazy. You work together the way it is supposed to be. That is what makes your videos interesting.
Talking about memories. Another comment said God bless who ever invented the round baler !! Couldn’t agree more !! I remember as a teen just big enough to pick up a square bale, that’s the way I’d make summertime money. We would get .10 cents a bale or .20 a bale if we put it in the barn. As a young teen we thought that was good money ! Lol. It did teach us what a hard day of work is and good work ethics !!
Amazing. I can't imagine how hard the o'l timers did all this work without our new technology even tho it's still alot of consistent work and keeping up with everything. Nice video. God Bless

I can remember turning and raking hay with WOODEN hay rakes that my Dad made. SO heavy and cumbersome...but, we did it...even as young children. Hard work but I am so thankful for that life. It built some strong people with strong character, values and skills.
It's refreshing to see kide so eager to help out on the farm. Y'all did a great job of raising them. Y'all should be proud.
So glad the weather held for you! Always surprises me how fluffy hay can be after first seeing it cut and drying so flat to the ground. Farm life can be hard, but is truly the best!
I absolutely love your channel. I learn so much about farming and gardening, even though I am a Tennessee farm girl that helped plant tobacco and milked our family cow when I was a kid. Your family is everything good about our Appalachian way of life, including family values, hard work, and just genuine love and appreciation of all the gifts God has given us in this most beautiful country on earth. Keep up the good work, and keep the entertaining videos coming.
man I wish I had the energy them kids have running the fields
Tonight I've bailed hay with Jason on "It's a A Stable Life", with Pete on "Just a Few Acres", and now with you. I'm an old lady and have enjoyed bailing hay with all of you guys. Your video shots are excellent, especially the sky and clouds,
Brings back memories. I say God bless the person that invented the round bailer. I spent many a log hard day square bailing and putting up hay, but it was a rewarding job, when you got it all in the barn you got to see the results of your work that day or maybe the next day just according to the size field.
Precious family. I love how baby girl loves her daddy ❤
Nice looking hay my friend . Finally watching someone who knows how to rake hay properly . Hopefully you get it all done before rain . What a special family I have the pleasure to watch . I’ve dreamed my entire life of doing exactly what you are doing right here . Thanks for sharing.
You guys are truly blessed. Your lifestyle is becoming a thing of the past. Many of us were raised that way but had to find other ways to make a living. I know it's hard work but you are teaching your children to carry on this lifestyle and that is so encouraging. I really appreciate you sharing your life and family with us.
It's so nice to have equipment to help accomplish a task. As much area as you have to process, I'd say the equipment is required. I only have a few goats and rabbits that need winter hay, everything you're doing I have to do with a scythe and by hand. You have an awesome setup!
Some of my earliest memories are watching wheat harvesting and bailing hay or maybe it was straw. My husband grew up on a dairy farm and has some great stories about hay season. Sweet memories. I appreciate your sharing these videos. My momma's people come from the hills. Her mom got "city-fied", but I think it stays in the blood. Thank you.
The videos of the tractor working give us a great insight into how it all works, very interesting.. lots of different implements to get the job done... you can never have to much hay... much love and appreciation to you all, and G'day from Australia
Thanks for all you do! I Love how your kids are so relaxed and seem to have more patience than the average kids. I think that's a benefit of growing and working on a farm!
I’ve been seeing these bells of hay in the fields for years and years, and now I know exactly how they came to be!😃
My allergies are flaring up just watching that hay! LOL I love the family eating together in the field, that makes everything taste better😊
Wow proud beautiful Hid bless you all puppy and every living animal. Amen
Miss these days so much your family reminds me of my family kids are grown now my hay cutting balling dear husband has passed and I am lots older but your family brings back wonderful memories I will never forget I truly love this family even though you don't know me personally or I you all the same I do please always keep being yourselves ❤
Love, love, love this video. My husband also loves watching Andy on his tractor working in the hay. I know it smells heavenly. You have a lot of hay on those fields. It is so beautiful rolled up and scattered across the field! 😊 We love your little family. Maggie and her daddy are so sweet together! We also think it is so great how Andy let's Jacob learn and help around the farm. Those youngins are living their best lives. 😊 I hope y'all have a blessed day!!
Loved this ❤️ A neighbor grows hay for his beef cattle. I see the round bales in his field but never seen it harvested. What a treat to see this
a bountiful blessing keepers of the land warms the heart
Great explanation of drying the hay, equipment working well , stay safe , enjoy .
Hay in the barn, what a good feeling 😊.
Tailgating in the hay field ❤️ That is so Awesome!!! I love every minute I share with y’all in these videos ❤️
Lol, little Jacob barefoot on the gravel, kills me! I remember fighting my momma because I was not wearing shoes to school! As a kid in Pink, Oklahoma, I don't think any of the kids I played with wore shoes until we were in junior high. I love country livin'! God bless ya'll!
Haven't seen this for many years!! Thank you for the memories!❤ Sure wish I could smell it!!😍 Blessings!!❤❤🙏🙏xxoo
I enjoy watching your videos...Megan, you need to make a t.shirt that says...'tha's right'.
We love your videos, enjoy watching , makes me think back when me and my brother were coming up. only thing we went 2 town for were flower and sugar. killing hogs and eating crackling out of an old pot out side. good old days. makes us feel better your videos. keep em coming. thanks ya
I really enjoyed watching the video today, very entertaining. Listening toall of the sounds of nature ( no music ) also love when Andy teaches Jacob , same with you teaching Maggie, your children are so adorable. and Tiger, Bless your family❤
Boy Howdy !!! That’s some purdy hay. I can smell it right now, take me back to my childhood.
Such a comforting family homemade supper together out in the hay field! I remember going with my aunt to take uncle Henry his lunch out in the cornfield course in the ‘50’s all was homemade. Thanks for sharing all the hard work you all do together ❤️
Loved this video!! I learned a lot as well. Love how your family had supper in the field. Megan, you and Andy are true heroes. Doing all that you do and raising two more to be just like you. Andy, your Daddy was so sweet to let Jacob and Maggie ride along. Having family that gets along and helps each out is getting to be rare. Keep it going! Love all y'all!!
Reminds me of my childhood but with square bales and a hay wagon. Our snot was always black when we got home😂 hard sweaty work right there. Mom would bring us all food and iced sweet tea just like that😅
Brings back so many memories. My daddy on the tractor in his over alls. Oh how I wish for simpler times. Much love to your family from Appalachia Kentucky.
Awesome job y'all 👍🤓👍. ❤ from here in Michigan ❤️
Good morning, I loved watching this hay video. The children having fun, and Meagan bring the food to eat out. God bless
My first haying I was about 9/10 years old we did square bales I drove pops hay truck..🛻 best ever memories 😊
Yep, its work hayin. The payoff comes this winter. Wish we had enough field to grow hay. Yall make my day, thanks!!
I thought the nicest part of the video was seeing the beautiful field of hay laying in perfect rows ,but it wasn't , it was the kids running with Tiger in the field , and you and Meghan are such a cute couple , hope your Love grows & continues to grow within your family over the years ❤👍
I like seeing that Ford tractor working. I grew up in the 60's farming with Ford tractors.

I love how Megan telling Andy to be careful and she loves ye. Farming is and can be dangerous work.
Little girl so cute. The best way to I grow up is right there.
You are definitely the hardest working couple on U Tube definitely takes alot of work with gardens and live stock my hats off to you folks 😅😅😅
Only a true farmer can think a bail of Hay is pretty. Lol enjoyed the video.

Absolutely love your videos.I find myself saying "That's right" myself after watching you so much.
That’s a great implement, when I was younger, we just ran the hay rake over it again and made different rows. There is something so satisfying about seeing all your hard work pay off.
Make hay while the sun shines in full effect❣🥰
I have the same Ford 3600. 1978. I call her Biddy. She's my righthand woman.
♥️✝️🇺🇸 Your little Maggie is a sweet heart !
Good Morning from South Arkansas !! Woohoo I remember those days baling "square" bales. Hot & Itchy throwing those bales on a trailer. It was hot. I was young & it was fun being with my family. I love all the memories you provide of a better time. Bless you guys & thank you.
Fun to watch. My husband use to raise hay. He's a Ford tractor man too. Nice to see you having your son grease the equipment. .so important.
those are some gorgeous bales of hay. you all do a great job. family and friends says it all
THAT WOULD BE A BUNCH OF SQUARE BALES LOL
I'd give most anything for another day in the hayfields with my family. They made me drive the loaded truck with my cousin on top. I was scared I'd throw him off and kill him! My uncle made me back the truck up to the barn. Years later I found out he thought I could back better than he could - a 14 year old girl!
What a lovely sight, bales of hay setting in a field. I don't know much about tractors, but your Daddy's is a very nice one.
My mom would bring bologna sandwiches and water or coolaide out to my dad and uncle. All of kids went with and had like a picnic was lots of fun. The memories last a lifetime. Nice to see Maggie eating lunch with her dad
Loved every minute of this video. The kids helpin and Momma bring down lunch taken a break together. What a wonderful time in your family's life even tho it's lot's of work. What troupers the kids are, always wanting to learn and help. God Bless, Hug's Rebekah
Meagan you are such a good mommy and wife!! Love your videos ❤
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. That hay field was beautiful with rows of raked up hay then the round bales scattered about. Tiger rolling in the hay 😃
Great vid! So relaxing and wholesome. Love y’all’s family. You can tell y’all love each other! Keep the content coming!
Brings back memories from when we made hay. Oh, the smell, love it! I just watched the video about the old buildings and about your great uncle flying his plane. I laughed but good for him for trying! Have you all watched, Second Hand Lion? It has a similar story. Take care
I love seeing the process of bailing hay.
We didn't grow hay so this was very educational! Alot of hard work.
Those hay tedders are quite popular. Grab an arm full of hay before tedding and one after tedding and compare the leaf vs stem density. They seem like they beat off leaves compared to the old-time five bar rolling type rakes (those are the ones I grew up with).
Your kids are adorable love how you guys are with them
I know I say it every time, but I love your videos ❤
A beautiful life built around family!
Brings of lots of great memories with family and friends of picnicking on the hood of the car on a Sunday afternoons on the Blueridge mountains of Va to get away from the heat of summer down in Valley were we lived ( no ac in my childhood days)
I really enjoyed this video I have saw them cutting hay lots of times but never got to stop and watch them bale it in the big bales and the picnic was sweet food always taste better outside you have sweet children
Hay yall it's Lonnie from N.C.
Andy , I love how you complement Megan all the time on these videos. I was hoping you would tell what happens when you bail wet hay. Some people don’t know it could catch on fire! and the mold thing. Or anything else I don’t know. Love your family ❤
Those are some pretty rolls! This vid plus the rain pattering on a tin roof made for a little much needed R and R this morning! And a second cup of coffee! "Have a good one" to you too, Maggie and Andy!
Love seeing daddy and sweet Maggie riding together in the hayfields!! Amazing harvest!!
Wish I had a dollar for every mile I have pulled a rolla bar rake.haha

Awesome job with your hay bailing operation Andy. You got a great first cut and it looked good, I remember the smell of fresh bailed hay and it is money in the bank smell. LoL. Need to see the way you fixed the hotdogs in the chili Megan, sounds like a time saving delicious way to prepare that satisfying quick supper. Everyone was a part of this video and shows a happy family working together. Stay safe and keep up the great work and videos. Fred.
Your daughter is a delight!🤗
So look forward to watching your videos. This one was very informative. Thank you!
Wow!!! I knew haying was a lot of hard work but this video really shows how much it involves. Bless you all & Papa's bailer. What a beautiful piece of land your Aunt loans y'all. Will there be a 2nd cutting off those fields?
@TrueGritAppalachianWays

yes we will get a cutting in the fall
❤Reminds me of the old saying, “Make hay while the sun shines!”. Loved Meagan brought lunch out to you. Why does food seem to taste better outside? Doesn’t even really matter what it is. I really love your alls fire pit where you cook outside by the creek or river. So peaceful and beautiful! I hope all of you wear sunscreen. Not trying to be bossy, just care about you. My sister and sister in law have totally ruined their skin from sun addiction. Both sunbathe too much and my sister also loves working outside. Their backs and chests have mole-like places all over them. These didn’t show up until they got older. I also know too many people who have had melanoma or carcinoma of the skin. My Mama had so much skin removed with skin transplanted between her eye, down the temple toward the ear. I don’t want to see this happen to anyone. With Meagan being a nurse and a conscientious Mom and wife, I expect she has this covered. When I was about 9 my bestie and and went swimming on an overcast day. We walked many blocks to get there, swam several hours then took the long way home because we didn’t think we had gotten any sun. I’m very fair and Marie is darker complected. To get to the bottom line I had the closest thing to a sun stroke. Blisters hung down my shoulders. Daddy had to come and get me because I was visiting Marie for 5 days. It was horrible. Just saying, ultraviolet rays, overcast sun, etc can also do so much damage. Love you all. I know this is not much about hay but I had this on my mind. ❤️🙏🏻☀️☀️☀️
Definitely show you working up the new land
That's really good camera work😊
Great video! I'm so old that I remember my granddad doing this with horses. He would love to see how it's done now. We had one tractor and I own it now. My dad ask me to make sure his tractor stayed in the family when he past. It's a 1957 Masey Ferguson. Still runs like a sewing machine.😉
Love watching you guys!
In the process of making rhubarb jam, but just couldn’t miss your video for today❤
I just adore this family ❤️.
I just love your family and always learn something ❤️❤️
