I don't know if anybody has ever commented about this, but I noticed this right away from day 1. Now I'm 75 and growing up there were no malls, no color TV and very few programs worth watching. Nowadays, most families will go to their own personal TV and watch their favorite programs or go to the mall. Hardly anybody can say that as a family they eat dinner together and do things together. Ya'll do things as a FAMILY. Ya'll work TOGETHER. These are the family and childhood memories that are important. These are the memories that last a lifetime. These are the moments of quality living. You should be very PROUD of how you and your family are living. It's a Generational Heritage that you are living and passing on to the next generation. Y'all have my sincere admiration. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

As a 72 yr. Old grandma, I'm smiling at Maggie in her flower garden, she is so adorable. And Jacob is he's so prouof his vegetables, God bless them both. Air hugs to ya all❤
Maggie is just so flipping cute showing her garden!
My eyes literally tear up with joy watching Maggie ! I believe her flowers are doing so well because they’re being touched by an Angel ! Andy : Tiller done knocked him in the head !!! Sorry thang !! 😂
I love how Jacob has his own garden and how practical he is. I've loved seeing him be so helpful driving carts and such!!
Here in SE North Carolina, farmers use to plant sorghum. Haven’t seen a sorghum field in years. That’s what I love about your channel. Brings back things I had forgotten.

I’m in SE NC too !
I hope y'all have an FFA and 4-H where you live. With what your children are doing, they might love being in those organizations in the future.
The gorgeous Sunflower is a wonderful king, tall enough to view all the kingdom. Queen Maggie closer to the soil to keep watch.
I personally think those 20+ yr old seeds will sprout. And ....I've never seen a more " beautifuller" garden than Maggie's. She's so smart and just adorable!! 💙💙💙
"seed pod" "the red ones need water". She has been learning so much.
I love that you tell us the good and bad! I love watching homesteading channels that are not trying to be perfect. The best way to learn is to fail.
Okay, I have to say that Maggie’s garden tour was my absolute favorite.
We’ve always ran a heeled row to plant sweet potatoes. Never knew sweet potatoes would produce a crop of potatoes without the heels. Thanks for sharing that

long as the soil it loose thats all that matters, in our other garden we have them in a hilled up row though
That Maggie and Jacob are good little helpers. You can’t help but love them
It’s so sweet to see the kids have their very own garden. I think every child would benefit from working a garden. Love your family!!💝
I have tomato seeds in my freezer that are 18 years old. I plant from them every year. They do fine.
Maggie's flower garden is beautiful. She did a great job! She reminds me of myself at that age. And Jacob's garden is doing better than mine. Their great kids!
My heart was just loving the garden show, how precious she is. And Jacob is so proud of his garden, too.
Maggie's flower garden is beautiful. She is such a sweetheart. Does my heart good to watch the children help in the garden. And Jacob driving the tractor, what a big helper he is. Love watching you guys.
I love when you guys admit when you need to do better at something. Refreshing in this day and age. And yes, when it’s time to seed save it is hard to stay motivated but as you know, so rewarding the next year. Love your videos. Listen to them constantly when I’m working outside or inside!
It warms a heart to see young kids want to help mom and dad work in the garden.

Amen I miss those days I would help my mamaw and papaw, momma and daddy.. I learned so much from them I miss them everyday..God Bless y'all 🙏 Prayers for all of us..
I believe that they will come up. Back when I was selling all types of seeds. And I sold pea seeds that had holes all in them , I discounted them and I said plant them and they did have peas to come up. But I don't know about sorghum. You plant and God will give the increase. Faith ❤
Dad found some seeds in his freezer one year that was over 20 years old. I was told to go throw them out for the birds. A week later we had squash and cucumbers all over out back yard. Yes those seeds will come up
I had to stop midway and just say, I sure do Love Maggie! She reminds me of my little girl. She speaks like such an old soul. She’s wise beyond her years… you can just feel it when she talks. Yall did so good with your babies! ❤️
Jacob's garden is AWESOME! You can really tell her gas worked hard to get those beautiful " matas" and other veggies. So smart!!
I just love Maggie! This red one is even more beautifuler so sweet. She makes me think of my granddaughter. Mine can take a one syllable word and make five syllables out of it lol

I had to laugh at the one syllable word thing. Apparently I do the same thing. It's pretty pronounced, according to people I talk to "up North" . Ha!! Thanks for the giggle! God bless.
Nothing better than a little girl and her flowers! So sweet.
You eat well but you are working for your food. It is a good thing you love your work.
I love hearing Maggie talk 😊 She's a doll. Both your kids are so willing to help, and they're doing great jobs with their gardens. You have a wonderful family
Wonderful idea with chicken. Can’t wait to try it!!! Y’all are soo real. I think y’all’s channel is one of the best homesteading channels. Worts and all. Keep in keeping on!!
I think those seeds will come on up. I love Maggie’s enthusiasm with her flowers! You both are great parents! I love your channel, and I am old, and love gardening and preserving food.
Your son is precious. He is a proud little boy about his vegetables.
Maggie and her flower garden ,oh my goodness how beautiful and Jacob and his veggies garden fantastic!!! I would give them both an A+ in Ag…keep up the good work children 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻👍🏻
Good news, whatever does come up and goes to seed, will provide new seed
We have had a couple of outdoor cats that took care of all the moles/voles, but they would bring them to you as "presents." :) Hope the sorghum rises...good stuff!

I found one such present on my doorstep this morning. Thanks kitty...
Good morning Meagan and Andy and family. Enjoyed watching this video. Jacob and Maggie are so precious and it's so great to see them helping in the garden. Y'all have a great garden also. Have a Blessed Day 😊
I'm amazed at how apparently effortlessly you put dinner together, including dessert! And it all looks delicious.
Meghan dinner looks so good and Jacob and sweet little Maggie are just adorable. TFS God Bless.
Maggie tickles me with her flowers and then helping plant the sweet potatoes she said just dig the holes and she would do the rest lol 😂
Maggie is so cute and so helpful to her family with helping plant her sweet potatoes. I’ve learned so much from y’all with having this channel❤
If you had to only one crop to plant that you had to survive off of it would probably be potatoes. If I could only plant one but had other food to eat then I would plant corn. You can use corn to make grits and corn meal for bread and you can use it to feed chicken and other animals that you could eat.
Your youngins are precious! Love how they’re so involved with everything 🥰
I absolutely adore your family loved the flower garden tour with Maggie she is so happy to show all her beautiful flowers she is so precious. Jacob and his garden is looking great the both of them are doing a fantastic job please let them know we enjoyed it and to show us again real soon. Mom and Dad are doing a great job raising their kids right i wish more was being taught these things . They will have value and ethics as adults . I enjoyed everything about this video thanks for sharing 😊
Love to watch y'all working with your kids
Maggie, thank you for showing us your garden, Sweet Girl.
Maggie and Jacob‘s Gardens looked fantastic! I would say they have both inherited the green thumb!
Jacob and Maggie have beautiful gardens! Congratulations to both of them for their hard work on their gardens!
❤Loved this video! Little Maggie makes my heart happy. She loves her flowers! 💐 I love both of your precious children. ❤️🙏🏻
Toss your seeds in the freezer for two to three weeks then store them. It will take care of any eggs or bugs. Love seeing your babies working in their own garden.
Chicken Parmesan ❤ Now that’s what I’m talking about
Maggie is precious!
Maggie is so cute! The sunflower is King of the garden. Jacob is also doing well with his garden. Your children love the life you are giving them. It's so precious watching them. I love sweet potatoes, but I'm the only one that eats them. I do have some slips growing so when I harvest my onions which will be soon, I will plant my slips there and I will take whatever I can get. I love the leaves as well. I take them and dehydrate and powder up to add to my smoothies for the nutrition. Plus I will sauté them in the skillet also. Anxious to see if the 20 year old seeds will work after being kept in the freezer. If they do, it sounds like that is where some of the seeds need to be kept.
Maggie your flower garden is beautiful. Jacob your garden is showing out. You both are amazing growing things. I admire the life yall have on the farm. ❤❤
Gosh I luv her.. shes adorable with her flowers 💐
You guys are so lucky. Your kids are so good I’m so smart and so cute.❤
Jacob has a great little garden also. Congrats to him as well
Jacob, my grandaddy called me 'Tomato Picking Bill' since I was 5 years old (I'm 61 now) because I uprooted our neighbors Tomato plants from a fit I was having I guess. He paddled my rear end. I grew up respecting Tomato plants and gardening ever since. Love you'll and God Bless. You make my day every time I see your new videos.
Y'all are so refreshing to watch! I like how the whole family is involved & how real you are!! I learn a lot from your videos. Just the other day I canned coleslaw using your recipe. TY. Ha e a blessed day
Much love from Appalachian Kentucky
What a blessing to see how involved your kids are and how much they already know. By the time they are adults they will be teaching agriculture!! Great job mom and dad!!!
If you or Maggie haven’t planted “Snap dragon” flowers, they are very fun for all that have never seen them in person before. You squeeze the bottom of the flower bulb and the two petals open up like a “Dragon’s” mouth. Very pretty and colorful. And you can open them and they shut when you let go. Over and over till the por little ting wilts away 😂
I love Maggie's flower garden and Jacob's vegetable garden. They look great. I bedded some sweet potatoes this year in some containers and some of them sprouted and made good slips while others didn't. I think I watered them too much. I bought some slips so I would have enough to plant a row in my garden. As usual when you buy plants by the bunch, a few weren't that good so I used mine to fill out a row. Thank you Andy for showing me how you bed yours. Grandma and Grandpa bedded them years ago when I was little but we never bedded any after Grandpa died in 1975. I've never seen any bone sauce before. I'm still using Liquid Fence and it still works fine. I don't mind paying for something that works good. Y'all have a great day!

@@TrueGritAppalachianWays I think I overwatered mine this year. I look forward to trying it again next year.
Love how Miss Maggie stays right in her Daddies hip pocket. ❤❤❤❤
Wow! I will be doing my sweet tater slips like that next year, thanks so much for sharing!
The deer here kept eating my green beans. I found that mothballs repelled them. I placed an electric fence post about every five feet around the garden. I put 3 mothballs in a women's knee high stocking on each post. No more deer problem.
We always learn something while watching your channel. We always enjoy the fun you share and how happy you all are while working outdoors together and then together in the kitchen too. The gardens are doing great and the deer will be well fattened when season get there, always enjoy some good venison. You all stay safe and keep up the great videos and the fun too. Fred.
Maggie's excitement sharing her flower garden is precious!
Love the kids. Maggie is so good with the garden and the camera.😊
My husband and I look forward to the videos. ❤😊
Jacob can just go bring a tractor on his own already! Skilled helper!❤
A beautiful family enjoying a beautiful day in the garden. That's what its all about.
You could always sprout test a few of any seed you are not sure about in the house on some moist paper towel either in a ziplock bag or on a plate with some cling film over it
Look how proud Jacob is of his garden. His garden looks good. Awesome job Jacob.
Yalls is the first channel I’ve seen showing how to pull the slips straight from the sweet potato
Maggie is adorable. Yes, those seeds will come up.
Maggie’s flower bed is beautiful, great job Maggie.
Life is in the seed no matter how old they are. You will be surprised.
The kids are luvin the gardening, so glad to see them learning how to grow from you all 😊 love watching your videos ❤
Yall have great help that enjoy helping. And your son has a great looking garden. 😂
🌱😎 🦋 Thank You guys for sharing 🎉 those young folks get a gold star ⭐ for gardening and I hope Jacob wins the first bean race⭐
In terms of "competition" my husband and I got our own seed packs and planted our pumpkins on the same day. Let's see who "wins." Fun!

Jacob and Maggie love being outside and working in the garden is still fun!❤
It is so good to see parents teach their children how to be able to survive on Mother Nature! Great videos! Deo Gratias ! ( God Thank You )
Maggie, you got the GREEN THUMB Girl. Your Garden is georgous. Absolutely full of flowers.
Always thank y'all for sharing. Maggie and Jacob keep up the awesome job 😁 looking amazing. C y'all next week keep it up get better every video
Maggie sure will be surprised when her seed pod busts out a poppy flower...orange or pink 🤔
Hi garden 🪴 is looking 👀 beautiful 😍 well done and your little princess 👸 is a beautiful gardener well done 👏 ❤❤❤❤❤and your son is a mini farmer 👨🌾 good boy 😘
Y'all are a farming family, Maggie's flowers are beautiful, she did a good job showing them off and Jacob sounded just like his Dad. They both are learning some valuable life lessons. I really love sweet potato.
I feel sure that those seed will come up . I have willow leaf butterbean seed from 1998 in the freezer and I planted some of them and every one came up , they are beautiful and loaded with blooms and small beans . I always save seed and keep them in the freezer .
One reason for uneven growth is the amount of sunlight the plants receive each day, not enough amendments in the soil on that end or inadequate drainage on that end.
I've never grown garlic, but I bet all the rain we've had this spring is why some of it got mushy. That's too bad, I love fresh garlic to cook with. Maggie's flower garden is beautiful! You are doing a great job taking care of it Maggie!❤ Your baked chicken looked so good Megan!
We planted a few Spoon tomatoes once, three years ago, and each year since we have several to come up on their own. They produce first and our chickens love them. Enjoyed your video as always. Take care and GOD bless.
I love Maggie and Jacobs eagerness to learn and help! Amazing children❤
Love the garden updates! Thank you so much for sharing all that you do!!
Maggie is just adorable showing off her flower garden. Love watching how well the children do in growing food and flowers. So rewarding for them. As for Garlic, it's been a strange year for sure. We plant our garlic a good 5 inches down and top dress with 5 inches of shredded leaves. Planted on Oct. 31st. Everything thing looked wonderful until a squirrel got in and dug up a few. We picked our scapes on May 29th and by June 5th the bottom four leaves had died back and the tops started to brown so we picked them all. It turned out to be a great harvest. So much earlier than past years when we waited a good 3 or 4 weeks after picking scapes.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ my mom always put her seeds in a cotton pillow case and stored them in the freezer....guess the reason was to keep the bugs out of them....👍start em' young.....what a joy to see kids growing things♥️♥️♥️♥️
That is so wonderful great family.
I love all your videos! Your little girl is so adorable. My baby girl is 16 years old and she reminds me of her when she was little 😊
Try hanging some tin pie plates around in the garden to deter the deer!
Love that kid! She certainly is not camera shy.❤
