Make Your Own Tautog / Blackfish Jigs!
Спорт
This is a video of how I make my own Tautog / Blackfish jigs and paint these jig heads. I know there are other out there who make them differently, but this is how I prefer to do it. Link to some of the tools and materials used are below.

Thanks D for all this educational videos. This is pretty good, specially for people they’re willing to learn how to make their own jigs. Also I admire your patience to explain with details the entire process. Great job!!👏

what a fall season for tautog, well crafted brotha. The green and orange for sure top tier
Really awesome DIY video Dave. I've been thinking about making my own tautog jigs considering how pricey they are at the tackle shops, thanks for this!

No problem. Glad you like it!
Saw some company that called them “tog treats.” Not a “treat” that I’d want in my mouth. Ouch!
Can I find these fish in our area? Do they ever hang out around here? Thanks Dave.

Yes, I have seen a picture of a tog caught right near proctor and gamble and the guy that caught it I have known for like 15yrs. My other friend hooked a huge 20"+ in the Hingham/hull area and I was there and saw the whole thing and almost jumped off the dock to get it lol

I'm going to try a little harder this yr around boston because they are 100% around in May, but you really have to work to find them
