Alexandria Ryan I hope you try the foundation again. I really like the hydration shape tape but don’t use a sponge to apply or a setting powder. I just use my clean fingers/hands. I can’t use those sponges. Believe me I’ve tried and they don’t work for me. I like full coverage with out making my flaws show. I’m 48 and have pigmentation problems, sometimes friends, wrinkles and all that old lady stuff. HA!

Just a heads up for anyone who has tried the finishing powder and didn't like it: theres a difference between setting powder and finishing powder. Setting powder is used for setting foundation. Finishing powder is to be used after setting powder and any other powders you may use to blur lines/pores/etc. I didnt know until I received this sample in an ipsy bag and thought it sucked. Then I wondered why it wasnt called "setting powder" and googled it. Yup, I googled. Anyways, it works like a dream for finishing and I absolutely love finishing powders now. I currently use a bareminerals one that has a matte powder on one side and a glow powder on the other. Boxycharm sent them out in a box a long while ago.

I do the same thing. My in-laws buy expensive bags and as they unwrap their presents I’m sitting there folding up their bags and tissue paper to bring home. Gotta save that environment any way we can.

Yes! I'm that person in my family 😂 I'm wrapping things in brown paper this year and writing 'please recycle me' on them because a) cost effective, and b) kinder to our poor planet.

The flamingo bag does in fact match with something! It's part of the tropical theme they've got going on for some of their collector sets this holiday season. It matches up with their "let's flamingle" brush set and "pineapple of my eye" makeup kit! Both very cute, I might add.

@@Alexandria-Ryan In my opinion, you can definitely live without the brushes unless you just want them for a cute display. But the pineapple set looks awesome! I always love the gifts they put out this time of year. Haven't picked anything up yet though other than finally hopping on the shape tape concealer band wagon haha

Hey guys! Just an update. I ordered this kit a couple weeks back while the promotion was going on but Tarte isn't currently offering it. I think this comes out at least twice a year so if you are interested in making your own you might want to keep an eye out for it! 😊

Pretty much same at least when I started , watching them made me really want the fabfitfun one, but since that’s more than I can afford I got an Ipsy... which was dumb because I don’t wear makeup but I did the skin/hair care heavy options so..... But yeah still dumb of me

Someone told me to place scotch tape over makeup that's hard and peel it off. Keep doing it until it's soft (usually 2-3 times does the trick) It's worked for me before, but only when it's an actual hard top vs a bad product. Try it! It may work for your blush duo. 🤷

Loving that lippy shade! So pretty on you! I got a Tarte kit from QVC a couple of years ago. Total bargain! It was under $60 approx. I got the Amazonian Clay foundation, the Maneater eyeshadow palette, Maneater mascara, self sharpening waterproof eyeliner, their lippy that's a bullet at one end and a gloss at the other end, big foundation brush, a lilac makeup bag, and a dual-ended eyeshadow brush! Really enjoyed all the products. 😁

Thru sales & free gifts, I've tried the powder (it's ok) & the LCL mascara. The mascara is my favorite formula from Tarte. The packaging makes me feel like a fairy princess even though I'm over 35.❣️ I have a smaller sample of the highlight & blush. I had to scrape off the top layer to use them. PS. That lipstick looks amazing on you!Rock it, girl! Thanks for the video.

Great look! The highlighter was sealing up on you. You can use a spoolie to gently scrape it when you use it. Ive had to do the same thing a few years ago to get an eyeshadow to work.

Wow $63 is honestly so good for all you get! I don’t really use Tarte much anymore ever since the controversy with the Shape Tape foundation, but I still love and will occasionally use their Rainforest of the Sea foundation. It’s the only one I’ve found to mesh well with my skin bc it’s water-based!

I got to do this as well. I also picked the hydrating foundation and have the same problem with it not sticking well. Also, I got one of the blush/highlighter duos and also can't get a dang thing out of that highlighter. However I also got a contour/highlighter trio and that works MUCH better for me.

So I also built my kit. I got the same foundation and I love it. I use it with the tarte primer that comes in the pot and I haven’t had any issues. I also had gotten the same blush and highlight combo, the blush comes off beautiful. As for the highlight... I have the same problem. I did get one of the blush/highlight/bronzer combos though, and it is AMAZING! maybe they had a bad batch of the rose gold duo and we got em’... 💁🏼

I bought this kit the last time they did this and I found a lot of duplicates this time so I skipped it. I also did one last year too I thought it was worth it and I love the bags they come with! Love your videos!

I got the same kit. I picked the same blush but It worked pretty fine. Its subtle wash of color which is pretty. Shows up on me and I'm a 390 on the fenty foundation. The power foundation is awesome, I always pick that one

I ordered a tart blush and highlight too and I was just thinking it feels really stiff. I have to apply it with my finger in order to see it on my face. The blush isnt too bad. I love the packaging that tarte has. Love your videos I look forward to seeing more. Love the tarte look.

I set an alarm when the kit went live this time because I missed out on the last one due to all of the lightest shades being gone. So luckily, I had my pick of everything this time around!! I have to wait until Christmas to open it, but I got the Matte Shape Tape foundation, their stick concealer, the Lights Camera Lashes mascara, the same highlighter blush duo you got but in the peach shade, a shimmery rose gold single shadow, and one of the cream lipsticks in a nude shade. And I was able to get the gold bag while they still had it! The only thing I’ve tried is the mascara so I’m super excited to bust into it and test out my new goodies!!
