Hi guys! so every time I did one of these Tarte kits it seemed to not go so well for me, I think a lot of that had to do with foundation choice though and everything else just didn't apply great over top. Dude, can you even imagine how much goes into these suscription boxes? So many items from so many different brands going out to so many different people??! I couldn't imagine anything more stressful 😅

I would recommend using that tiny foundation brush for cream products! So cream bronzers, blush, or highlight (I think it looks like the perfect size for cream blush)

Use a really course sugar scrub every day and it should help you wear off that tan 💕

I would for sure add primer to your routine. It smooths out the skin and helps foundation apply much easier :)

For people who don't use a crap ton of foundation/concealer on themselves, it's kinda useless. I only really put makeup under my eyes. And I don't notice a big difference when I do vs. when I don't put primer on

Zo Miller I just a light layer of bb cream and if I don’t use primer it just doesn’t last as long even with setting powder or spray. It also makes the bb cream and other products go on smoothly. I think it also depends on your skin type too.

I have oily skin/oily lids so primer is a must for me. I only skip primer when I use BB or CC cream because they replace primer, moisturizer, etc...

Does anyone else think the foundation looks really green? In the bottle and also on the face 🤔🤔

Ok but the skin of your face looks soooo clean and smooth

A personal tip for the water foundation (which I also picked when I did the make your own kit) is to first use a finger to spread the foundation out and then go in with a sponge to blend it in. I found it to be too streaky with a brush and too sheer when going in immediately with a sponge, but if you first use your fingers to kinda spread the foundation out and then use the sponge to bend it in, it leaves a nice medium coverage.

Definitely. The water foundation I got in this kit is the first time I’ve used any liquid foundation ever and after trying with a brush once I just said eff it and used my fingers. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hey girl try spraying your face with Mac fix+ after setting your face with powder. Let it dry before you do your bronzer, blush and highlight. I promise you'll feel less powdery 💗💗💗

I think it was the lighting because it looked fine at first but then the lighting changed and it looked greenish

I love the Maneater mascara! It's probably my favorite of every kind ive ever tried

I love that foundation! I have combination skin and it’s one that i always go back to. The only gripe i have with it is that it does dry fast so i always found it best to apply in sections. Absolutely gorgeous girl!!

The man eater mascara is my holy grail! It separates and lengthens your lashes, so my short but thick lashes end up looking like falsies! The brush is amazing, the formula isn’t t liquid, which means your mascara doesn’t run, and it builds like a dream! Way better than the Too Faced Better than Sex!

If you haven't tried maybellinefit me loose powder I definitely recommend. And because it comes in several shades there's no white chalky cast

I got one of these this year! I got the same bag, but the other brush and the bronzer/blush/highlighter combo. I love love love the hydrating shapetape foundation that I got. I was worried the color wouldn't be right but I loved it.

I am a big lover of the Maneater mascara. I like how it is not goopy or thick. It makes more of a whispy lash. I have those same false lashes. I have had them for a few months and I pulled one out and kind of touched it and tried to pretend I was putting it on. Now I am going to try them on because they look so pretty on you!

I absolutely love Thrive Causemetics powder. The only one that doesn't leave me "chalky" and does not flashback! Right now in the summer heat I just wear Sun Bum face sunscreen with Tarte shape tape concealer over my blemishes and the Thrive powder to help the shine. Absolutely love the product and what the company stands for!

Girl I got my first one this time and I LOVE IT!!!! So worth it, the brush I got by itself was the total cost of the box. A whole $63.00, for a foundation brush!!! Who would pay that for a makeup brush...not me!!!

I have the same problem looking chalky with any powder I use. I started using the Morphe setting spray and problem solved!! I highly recommend!

Great video! I didn't get the Tarte box this time, but I really enjoyed seeing what you picked out! If you have any trouble getting your fake tan to go away before Saturday, try using exfoliating gloves and Castile soap. That combo works wonders!
