Make your Aurora Slot Car Vibrator Chassis Run this Well!!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I sent 4 (all) of my Vibrator chassis to my friend Mark out of PA. He by far has the most practical knowledge of how to get the Vibrators to work properly.

Man, that layout! Love the farmstead with the Buick (I think) and the tractor out front! And the era chosen for it all. Top notch work.

Hey Craig, my buddy Mark, shows us some amazing tips on how to get the old Vibrator chassis working and performing to their maximum!! I love the way the Vibrators coast and you can run them in either direction on the track. They are a lot of fun. Let me know when you get some. Take care Craig, see ya!!

Okay - first of all this vid is excellent as I NEVER knew how these damn things worked...but I can see they are bit tricky to work on. However, this vid clearly espouses the magnificence of the simple design of the T-Jet and how much easier they are to work on. Whomever at Aurora made the WISE decision to dump the Vibe design should have got a massive raise and promotion. I do like the vibes bodies and I've been tempted several times to buy some....but I think I'll just stay with T-Jets. Tesla was a genius...but when it comes to slot cars, I'll stay with DC thank you.

Hey, I used to kinda dislike the old Vibrators until my buddy Mark showed me how to tweak um to actually run really well. In my book I have a whole chapter dedicated to why Aurora upgraded from the Vibrator to the Thunder Jet chassis. Another benefit of the Vibrators is that you can run them in either direction without changing the polarity!! I say, give um shot, you might really start to like them.

Nice. Vibes and Jets are already faster than real cars in scale speed, but at least you can tell what the car is when racing them. Magnetic cars are a blur and far less fun. I keep several magnetic cars for the kiddies.

Great article about the vibrator cars. I never learned to modify them, even though I have worked on everything else from the TJets through NEO magnet cars. Thanks! Do you work on the vibrators, or do you have parts? I have holes in my pickup shoes and I can't find the bottom plates anywhere. Is there a way to solder extra material on to cover the holes, or any other type of effective repair?

Hey David, I do some work with the Vibrator chassis, but I don't have any extra parts for them. They do come up on eBay, you'll have to be patient. I would search daily for them. Also, there are FaceBook slot car groups. Search around and you just might get lucky. Regarding repairing them, I've never tried to do that. Let me know how you do David, take care.
