It’s an honor and very hard work. All have served tours of duty: Bosnia, Afghanistan. Hours aren’t great and vacations few and far between depending on assignments/training elsewhere. Years ago they weren’t so loud. It’s the increased rudenesses/stupidity/harassments of tourists and loud voices work better. They take the job very seriously! As they should.

Believe me I am a tourist and would never disrespect another's traditional life. But then my daddy raised his children in a way you rarely see in today's society. When we visited the UK " my daddy is Scottish " I was so enthusiastic about educating myself on protocol and respect of the nation's tradition. I'm a United States citizen and as I knew as soon as the Dr's made a statement concerning Queen Elizabeth ll that she most likely had passed away and the Dr's were preparing the world of such a loss of a great lady.
