    Except that disgustingly the Headress us still being made from Bearskin ! When most decent people want the banning of people wearing Fur, these Guards & the Bandmasters still wear Bearskin Headress. Even here and now in 2022, the Ministry Of Defence & the Government have said that they'll continue to use Bearskin instead of Faux Fur !! Why are these Men in the 5 Regiments proud to walk around with Dead Animal Skins On Their Heads ??!! The Queen Also Has Spent Too Many Years Wearing Fur, apparently She only said No to Her Fashion Designers using it on Her Apparel in 2019 !! That Took Her Far Too Long To Say No !! I Wonder About The Rest Of Her Family !!

    @@Windsorguards I have a hearing loss from military service and I can hear them "march" as well. It's the tourists who are too damn loud .... and too many are disrespectful of the Royal Guards. You rarely see them cross the line with the Guards in Norway, Denmark, the Vatican, the Quirinale in Rome (the Presidential Palace), American Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and similar places because the "conduct" will be addressed, up to and including arrest. The UK is too nice. I saw a video recently of a tourist who purposely blocked a dismounted Horse Guard and stood there mocking the guard, who walked around him. And SO19 (armed police) didn't do a thing.

And those who tried were bumped or pushed away. Big respects for those men and women. I'm seeing this video more than it's good. I'm still asking why that woman, doesn't have backup there? It would be great that out of the Guard, gate would come 4 or 5 older Guards to should these unrespectful teenagers away. Adrenaline for sure hehe.

    This is obviously a female Guard, as you can see in the profile when she marches. She has breasts, but her uniform blouse/tunic is not tailored to fit, just standard uniform issue. She's obviously earned her place in the regiment, even though she may not look as imposing in stature as the Colour Sergeant and the Officer who address her, and advise her about how to patrol her area.

  • @MrCrystalwarrior1

    @MrCrystalwarrior1

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Indigo-ke5dq Yes, they've been allowing women into all the Army regiments for years now, but they are not exactly welcomed by the male front line troops, who have to slow their rate of running to accommodate the lesser speed that women run at, have to distribute most of the woman's kit among the men, as they can't carry the full 60lb weight of regular equipment plus weapon and ammo, so that reduces the effectiveness of the male soldiers even more. Most regiments now place the women in support roles, as musicians, or administrative duties when on active deployment. I have friends in the Army who hate having a woman anywhere around them when on active duty, as they are a liability, have problems accepting orders that are given them if they deem them "un -feminine" and if they are placed anywhere near the front line, they have to be escorted everywhere, as if they are captured by enemy forces, they face being raped/abused and more, which further affects the morale of the male troops. My friends dread being assigned duties around female troops, even behind the lines, as they can also be a distraction to men who haven't seen a woman for a good while, and even the act of going around shirtless as men did in Afghanistan/Iraq had to be stopped, due to complains from the women about having to be around men who were half naked. Also there is the problem of men who have a lot of extra testosterone making lewd remarks/gestures toward the female troops that causes allegations of sexual harassment to be made against the men. From what I heard from my Army friends, the U.S Forces had a high rate of rape amongst their ranks, as they had both men and women in front line roles, and so quite a few of the men, after seeing friends wounded or killed in battle, would take out their frustrations on the women, and so sexual assaults/rapes were commonplace in Afghanistan/Iraq.
