Thanks to the two envious couples in California , the royal family has even become more famous and loved around the world. People who have no respect for their elders and throw their own blood relatives under the bus is not worth all the attention and respect. This is so true. I used to be pretty lukewarm about the Royal Family but thanks to that awful pair I’ve now a surplus of admiration, appreciation and love for them. God save the King! God bless the Prince & Princess of Wales!

The convoy that follows The President actually includes vehicles required by LAW. Laws written after Kennedy was shot and later the attempt on Reagan. I love King Charles but he’s not The Leader of the Free World. Britain has anti-gun laws unlike the US with its love of gun carrying.

I think the convoy the president of the USA is necessary rather than a show of power. It comes with the job unfortunately.

That Officer walking out of Buckingham Palace is the Officer Commanding the Buckingham Palace Detachment of the Kings Guard. There are three (3) officers on guard, the Captain of the Guard which is mainly always a Major, then there is the Buckingham Palace Detachment Commander ( usually a Lieutenant, rarely a Captain) then there is the Ensign ( who carries the Colour) who is in fact the St. James's Palace Detachment Commander. All three Officers live in the Officers Mess in St. James's Palace. The only time the Buckingham Palace Detachment Commander will be at Buckingham Palace is at the Guard mount/dismount and during the afternoon where he might pop down and inspect the Guard at Buckingham Palace

He is not currently living in Buckingham Palace but he is using it for official functions. He is living at Clarence House, about 1/2 a mile up the road, so the Royal Standard remains flying provided he is living in a London Residence. The Welsh Guards officer is heading through Green Park to Clarence House and St James's Palace.

Let’s keep religion out of this, thank the doctors nurses and the Police and Military for keeping them safe.

The Royal Standard is lowered (and replaced with the Union flag) only after the monarch is no longer in residence. Until they are in residence at another property, the Standard remains flown.

the UK head of state should be democratically elected every 5 years. this is now the 21st century the time of a hereditary monarchy is long since past and should be stamped out!
