    I’m curious...why not apply a thick layer of resin onto the mold, then lay the dry fiberglass cloth on top, then brush more resin over it? It looks like a lot of unnecessary work coating each patch first.

    You're welcome to try out your suggested method and I would be interested to see how it works out. :) For now, I'll stick to the tried and tested method. :)

    How many layers of fiberglass do you use?

    I think I layered up about 3 overlapped layers which would end up being 6 layers, if that makes any sense. :)

    Thanks for this video! I have a guestion regaurding the resin. I have a project in the works in which I will have to build a fiberglass support shell of a silicone mold. I was planning to use bondo fiberglass resin as is it is readily available and fairly inexpensive. I read that it gets pretty hot and can damage the silicone if not applied in very thin levels which makes me nervous. My question is what is the differences if any better the bondo brand fiberglass resin and the resin you are using and if so where can I purchase the resin you are using? Thank you for the information!
