    £7.50 per litre when you made this video. Fast forward to 2024 and it's went up to £13.26 on Amazon.

    Is there a reason why you didn't go through the profile and down the back of the head and make this a two piece mould?

  • @dramamask
    @dramamaskАй бұрын

    Yes! It would be almost impossible to try and split the mould if it was a two piece. I made a two piece mould with a simple skull model a while back and was a nightmare to break free. If in doubt with a two-piece, I would always make a 3-piece, or multi-piece mould.

    I’m trying to find that same hands design mold , but in a tiny size; 2” max length, and 11/4” width, 1/2” height. Are you aware of a mold this small ? Thank you.

    What molding material do you use and where do you get them? I seen other videos with concrete and things where they use a sander as a vibrator to help get the air bubbles out I don’t know if it would work for something like this

    Great video. Just wondering, can this be bisque fired and glazed afterwards? Can't seem to find anything online about dental stones and their compatibility with ceramic glazes/withstanding heat (approx. 1300C in a kiln). If you've got any knowledge on this that would be great, thanks :)

    So, no need to reinforce slab with rebars or mesh? I recall my father doing this over 50 years ago. Love that table to remove bubbles and help settle the mixture. Thank you for sharing.

    hi. as you know, When we want to make a silicone mold, we usually use silicone spray on the original model so that the silicone does not stick to the original model and can be easily removed. For latex, I don't know what I should use and apply on original model? we have to apply material on original model before start creating mold? thanks alot for your help.

    Don’t use silicone use rubbing alcohol and Castrol oil 70% with a tablespoon of oil in a spray bottle . Petroleum based products eat latex

    Hello, I have watched your video about polyester casting and I liked it very much but one thing I can't figure out is how do you avoid the shrinking of cured polyester. I have some parts for my scale models which I copied with this method but after some time the copies become significantly smaller. Do you use some sort of filler like calcium carbonate and in what proportion?
