If you start with the spout of that 5gal bucket at the TOP, and then rotate it as the level drops you won't need to drill a vent and the silicone will come out a lot easier.

That's a really nicely made mould Eric, thanks for sharing. I have difficulty getting my silicone out of its container without getting it everywhere as there isn't a pouring spout in the lid, does your silicone come with that spout or did you add it later? If you didn't have have that spout how would you decant some into a smaller container?

I have a quick question how can I make a foam design to resin? Is there a material that I need to cover the foam to create a mold then use the mold to use resin casting? I have a design but a foam is very breakable. I don't know how to make my foam resistance resin heat because the chemicals combine with resin A and B reaction creates heat and it seems that heat will melt the foam so I want to ask how to do it if is possible. Thanks waiting on your response.

It's doable, just get some brushable resin and be prepared to sand a lot

Vacuum gauges read in inches of Mercury, or "Hg. A "full" (ideal) vacuum at sea level is about 29.9" Hg, but the higher in altitude you are located at the lower the inches of Mercury will be, for example "full" vacuum 2,000 feet above sea level would be closer to 27.5" Hg. The gauge is measuring the rate of the volume increase of Mercury under vacuum. The higher the inches of Mercury in your vacuum chamber, the better the rate of air being pulled out of your silicone or resin is

That was amazing... Probably the best mould technique ive seen so far. Can I just ask though. All the video's I seem to watch about making rubber moulds, the people seem to use an awful lot of rubber and recently Ive priced various types up.... It costs a bloody fortune!!! That mould alone must of cost you $300 - $400??? Are the people making the moulds on here sponsored by rubber companies? What happens if you screw the mould up??? It gets very very expensive!! Is there a cheaper way of making a mould like these? Great video, thanks Les
