The Husky 52" 15 drawer tool chest with LED lid has deeper drawers that accommodate the 1/2" drive Hanson socket holders!

I have an older HF 44" that is only 18" deep (newer is 22" I believe) but the big drawer is easily tall enough to accommodate the 1/2" Hansons as well.

Consider the Westling Machine socket trays. Best on the market, no extra space used above the sockets like the pins on those and they aren't crazy expensive especially considering they're USA made. They're my favorites by far.

I got the same Milwaukee chest and I made a shadow board which holds all of my 1/4” 3/8” 1/2” and 3/4” sockets and ratchets. The shadow board is 3/8” birch plywood which I fiberglassed then traced and routed/drilled out all the sockets/ ratchet holes. I stenciled all the socket sizes on the plywood before fiberglassing

On your welding cart setup, you might swap the welder and plasma cutter. It will make it easier to load the spools if the welder is on the top. Plus you will most likely be using the welder more, so it will also be easier to adjust being up top. I definitely have shop envy! Great looking work space!

I have this toolbox, It looks great but don't recommend for mechanics. Drawers don't open all the way and not that deep on the top drawer. I don’t like the automatic closing drawers either, kinda frustrating. Plus you can’t add on a side locker or anything like the us general. For a home user it is a great box, but for lots of sockets and storage not the greatest. Nice looking box though and their tools are great 👍

Well happy thanksgiving kids, I know, your men but I'm an old jealous bastard... 73, it ain't easy to look in the mirror anymore. Welding is like making love, you find a pace and never hurry. Metal bonds best when it sounds like bacon frying if its good thick material otherwise its quick on and off spot tacing till they all come together and the airholes disappear. The flat disk or grinder of choice makes it pretty. Try not to make too long a circles when puddling the metals and don't worry, it always looks bad till it doesn't cause grinders make us look good. Not to say that you won't make real pretty welds cause you will, but the tin that your working on is just a quick tac and get off it... almost can't wear a helmet cause it just goes to dark and your off of it. Practice forever but time is your friend and most guys take a while to get into it. I had two blacksmiths teaching me and I got the cuff on the ear a few times. Try to identify what kind of metal your welding, hard steel or mild steel take two different types of a weld and youtube is your friend. Make it fun or you won't like doing it. Do some art stuff like book ends or roses or just anything that requires a weld of sorts and then also practice soldering as it is a art too. I don't think either of you will be masters in a hour but as soon as it starts making sense, your going to be good at it. It ain't no harder than playing a guitar. Oh, I do that too. Make mistakes that is/LOL. Don't let others in their chair at home that are just jealous of your success ruin your parade. Have fun!! I think that your off to a fine start.
