You should tell the concrete guys to knock out and remove that piece and pour one consistent slab.

Coming along …. I think I would add a sliding window that could be tinted from your office to the lobby . This way you can open it when you want more air flow and you can also see what’s going on in the lobby . That office will get stuffy and don’t want an exhaust fan running all the time. I noticed an issue with the concrete pour in the back, you have the forms laying on the flat to slope it down. The issue with this is the concrete in that area is less than 2 inches thick. Once a car drives on it , it will crack. You needed to dig it out and slope it down maintaining at least 4-5 inches thick of concrete. Just giving you some heads up. Enjoying the content.

I would also add that they should have included dowels from the existing "porch" so that all things move together. But you are 100% correct about the thin edge, needs to be thickened and that way it could tie-in flush without the 2" edge. Hope it works out

@Tyler I agree but you got to admit a wall with a nice big door double door or ever a triple door would make it look way better than a curtain.

You have an amazing attitude towards this entire build. With so many contractors and things of all nature needing to get done, you still find the time to thank and talk positive about your contractors. Positive attitude equals a healthy and prosperous business! Well done brother!

❓QUESTION: Why did you spend all that time & money preparing the shop floor, painting with grey epoxy, and sprinkling with glitter - to just cover it with Swiss track?

No Rebar or wire Mesh in new Concrete...should crack inside of 90 days. also no rebar tabs connecting old to new..same story...don't know how local Building Authority permitted this...

Very thin at the far edge too. I am not a concretor but compared to every other slab I have ever seen, this looks suspiciously janky

New to the channel, it was recommended by the algorithm. I really like the progress that you are making on the shop. The one thing that bugs me is the new concrete being poured on a dirty surface, leaves and debris not cleaned away.. I guess you have your reasons, however you want to do it is your decision. I myself would have cleared all leaves and junk away, then degreased as much as possible, plus grind away the dirty surface of the old concrete so that the new concrete would adhere better. I hope that what you have accomplished will not be undone by the new pour, breaking apart when a vehicle drives on it for the first time... just my humble opinion. Thanks for the entertaining videos!

Yeah, the concrete pour seems pretty suspect if it will last without cracking. I am no expert though but would like to hear a seasoned professional weigh in…

Hexagon lights look amazing, but I would have either put a false ceiling in first and then the lights or spray painted the full roof structure black to make it looks So much better and nicer

I like how you talk about your Gatebuilder and approach the matter. They're just people, and they didn't build the building either. They would surely have preferred if the corner hadn't broken out. And it's nice that you give them the opportunity to finish and dress up. You haven't forgotten that things don't always go according to plan. Nice gesture.

Looking good man, I agree with some of the other comments though. I would definitely add a wall with a door instead of a curtain , this maybe something you plan on doing . Also a window of some sort in your office gives you more security to what goes on at your front desk reception . Keep up the great work, I wish I had the money to chase my dream like you are doing 🤙
