Magnus Carlsen thinks for 2 mins for his first 2 moves against Firouzja | Commentary by Sagar
Спорт
Magnus Carlsen announced after the World Championship match with Ian Nepomniachtchi that he would not like to play another World Championship match if his opponent is not someone from the next generation. He specifically also mentioned the name of Alireza Firouzja. This was the first game between Carlsen and Firouzja after the World Champion made this announcement. No wonder everyone was very excited for this 7th round bout at the World Rapid Championships 2021. The pressure was not just on Firouzja but also on Magnus as he thought for nearly 2 minutes for his first 2 moves of the game!

Alireza shakes his head after losing a pawn knowing the game is most likely over Me after being down a queen : I can still win this if they also blunder their queen like I did

It happens all the time in games between lower rated players. I have checkmated some players with many pieces down and also drawn the game by stalemate while opponent had 8 queens.

@ emamiamirhosein5884 So someone shares their experience as a lower rated chess player, and you practically insult them by saying they’re bad at chess. Your maturity is that of a 5 year old.
This guy comes in very late, then arranges his pieces and thinking about right opening choice 🙄🙄.. Finally have a lead of 2 min.. Shows what kind of a legend he is.. 😀😀 Just unbelievable..

I like the way magnus progresses even in winning position, very gentle and careful moves making sure not to blunder
Sagar outstanding as usual. Thanks for easy English commentary.
The commentary is amazing. I am just getting into chess and having him give commentary and potentials moves is very helpful

IT IS THE POWER OF SAGER
Very good commentary as usual from Sagar.
The insights on Magnus thoughts are wonderful and rare, i always believed GMs while taking time were debating variations not emotions...
Everytime I try to stop myself from being impressed with magnus, he comes up with this grind determination and beautiful gameplay that even the haters might get stunned and appreciate the talent magnus is !! Simply phenomenal . You can't hate him you can't ignore him . After 10 years of domination He is still too good damn it . ✨❤️

Magnus was casually calculating the end game
The commentary was excellent, this man gives a great play-by-play.
Insane reaction from the crowd after the win! Glad they showed it...
Calculating how i give check in the end with the king 😂
Excellent commentary. Keep it coming!
5:43 LOL the commentary 9:17 *"both players do not want to blink" LOL look at how many times Magnus blinks RIGHT after he says that!*
MC is a straight up gangsta on the chess board. once he catches you slipping he doesn't release his grip. you can tell by his opponents body language the precise point where the game was over. respect to both.
Beautiful Game with Beautiful Commentry....🥰🤩
Magnus thinking about what to have at his next meal for 2 minutes.
Amazing!! . Magnus plays so fast and without blundering. how????
Commentary is really good 🔥🔥
Love the commentary, subbed and liked
good game, good commentary, much ♥ to the indian chess community
coming late in every game is his first tactical move
Great coverage! :)
He was trying to remember the theory of one opening out of around 1500

alternate title: Carlsen plots the entire game in 2 mins
Maybe the king has a hangover.
Misleading title, he made his two moves within 1 minute, (his clock crosses 2 mins for his 3rd move, that also because he was late)
Anyone know name of that chessboard
Shaking head is kind like a universal language that something goes wrong and will not end well
his voice epic
Movements should focused directly on the chess board .Thank you.
Isn't this an old video ??
It's about sending a message

I wonder if he got that from Kasparov when he was young and got a draw. Arriving late and arranging pieces.

If it's in English, explaining chess with a right to left alphabetical reading is not the way to go. Otherwise, I enjoy your commentary greatly, and think your adding something very special to the chess community.
How did magnus get 8 minutes of time
You know what fascinates me the most, the time he took to think of the right variation for the opening.. then for most of the game he just thinks really quickly on the follow-ups, like a fuckin robot. It's funny when I think that in my games (normie 1.2/1.3k) we almost premove the opening and THEN start thinking lmao. Kinda makes u realize the lvl they play at..
magnus is very good yar.. alireja(legend) seems helpless in front of magnus ..
What a head game MC plays here. He knows Firo will have the impatience of youth. He lets the nervous tension sit for as long as he can.
Hey cmon.. please rephrase the heading/title of the video. It was not 2 mins for 2 moves...
The secret of Magnus Carlsen to win every game is to drink water while playing
Even vishy has such a game right, where he thought a lot on 4 th move i guess
I love the commentator makes it more interesting ♥️♥️🤞🏾🤞🏾♟️
Maybe Magnus insisted that he would not play another world championship match unless it was against someone from "the next generation," and he specifically mentioned Firouzja, because he knew he would totally dominate. But then again, this is Magnus, so did ANYONE really stand a chance? TBH, I didn't like Magnus saying so publicly that he is "better" than the other players. Even though it is true, it lowered my admiration for him. I don't think that saying such things is dignified, especially for the world champion, who I feel should be more gracious and giving credit to his opponents. Others may disagree, but it's just my opinion.
Estoy comwnzado t SE aprende viento El juego
Magnus didn't want to move because he was suspicious Firouzja was cheating.
