Magnus drawing an endgame against a grand master two pawns down in a rook endgame is just insane.

You could give me 24 hours to find that double knight sac and I dont think I would, absolutely insane that he found that.
Levi might not deliver, but he's always pregnant.
@27:59 - when Magnus takes the 8th piece on the board, the board is left with only 7 pieces, at which point the endgame tablebase kicks in and the evaluation bar can no longer be anywhere but the center of the evaluation bar (for a draw) or the exact top or bottom of the evaluation bar (for a win.) And that seems to be what happens. All boards with 7 or fewer pieces has been exhaustively enumerated and there is no longer any uncertainty (but this requires 150 terabytes of data for 423,836,835,667,331 positions). Computers are currently working on a new tablebase that will include any combination of 8 pieces, which is estimated to require 2 petabytes of storage for 38,176,306,877,748,245 positions.

That queen A5 move is actually common in the Czech Pirc defense. His g3 modification to allow for a fianchetto'd bishop made it all that much more powerful

Bro thinks he's Hikaru by wearing that shirt...
I actually think this was Magnus's prep, because on lichess, all the moves were already analyzed by the cloud engine up 'til be6.
the first game opening is kind of pirc defense czech variation, pinning the knight to the king.

Reason I'm asking for this is i tried to google this but didn't really understand anything. Since you explain everything to your audience in an easy manner, it will be a great help
I just had a miserable day and this is so healing 🙂 Every single time, nothing is more healing than Levy breaking down a Magnus game. Keep it up, I really appreciate it.
Congratulations on 4 mill Levy, you really deserve it!
Levy: This is some CRAZY stuff! Stockfish:

That was madness, he surely has a Karpov style of play but those knight sacrifices reminded me of Tal and Kasparov a lot
Congratulations for your recent success, Levy, I'm really proud of you and the content you provide to all of us
I never knew chess could be this exciting, thanks to the sideline commentating from Levy! In fact I think chess like this is as exciting if not more, than a football/soccer game. But one needs a genius to point out the genius moves from the grand master!
Either a mouse slip or completely brilliant 😂😂😂😂 I've been there 😂😂😂
Normal Player: I lost both knights, i am gonna resign Magnus: Who needs knights anyway?
Magnus may not be Stockfish, but he will always play the top engine move!

Fischer was the goat of 'latitude' (120 elo difference vs contemporaries) and Kasparov the goat of 'longitude' (20 years on top). Of course Carlsen is better, as someone in 20 years will be better than him at his peak, but if he wants to be remembered as the GOAT I think he needs to match Kasparov's two decades of dominance, because Fischer's highs on the back of crazy 6-0 wins aren't really achievable in modern chess.
