I thought the title was exaggerated but wow, this was probably the best chess series to be played. Props to Magnus for offering a draw at the end to allow a final score of 13.5-12.5 instead of 14-12, because that is truly how close this series was.

the craziest thing about this match is the fact that hikaru and magnus's average accuracies are 89.9% and 90% respectively lmao. truly the best duo

Well technically he is actually not even close to being the puzzle GOAT, Ray Robson holds that title without a doubt. I think he is a 4 time consecutive puzzle world champion now, and he has outperformed Hikaru several times. Hikaru obviously crushes him in actual games but when it comes to pure puzzle solving Hikaru doesn't stand a chance.
How does Magnus find a tactic like that in BULLET. Unbelievable. The greatest ever
Magnus' double rook sacrifice was such a thing of beauty and craziness combined lmao, I almost jumped out of my seat. That's why he's the GOAT.

Excellent recap. Absolutely my favorite content. Would love to see a bit more coverage of players like MVL, Pragg, Rapport, Danya (for speed chess), etc. I know it's a bunch of work but maybe once a month a recap on some of the old and upcoming guard from your older recaps.

These videos are literally why I started to play. I'm not very good, but you really got me into it with your way to make moving pieces on a board seem like the best thing in the world.
