She has never been afraid to say these are my friends and I love them. This was well before it was fashionable to embrace the gays. She and Elizabeth Taylor were throwing millions of dollars towards AIDS research in the beginning, when most people couldn't even say the word AIDS without flinching. This renaissance Woman is a hero, a Misfit, and a Lady.

Yes, I’m not a fan (I also use the term inspirational/admire/appreciate someones art, bc of «fanbehavior» & putting celebs on a pedestal, which I think is terrible) My point is, snyone that has watched at least some of her entertainment or interviews, knows she was one of the first maknstream celebs that supported & was inspired by LGBTQ+ culture & finding female sexuality empowering! I don’t like too much of her music (Get into the groove is a bop) & I don’t have the best impression of her as a person & she isn’t the most talented performer, HOWEVER what she has done for lgbtq+, female sexuality, generations of female & male entertainers/artists, no one can take away from her!! Also me saying she isn’t that talented dosen’t mean she isn’t a good entertainer, otherwise she wouldn’t survive this long in the industry or have an icon status (even tho I hate the pedestal, queen, king , princess, legend status). I hope ur fine, during the pandemic & all, wish you the best :)

Organic Love your comment rides on the premise that all publicity is good publicity - which I fundamentally disagree with. Many people’s careers have been dismantled by negative press. Given that, during the 80s supporting or being part of the LGBTQ+ community was looked down upon and regarded as taboo. Thus, Madonna’s decision to support the community, even when it was very unpopular to do so, was obviously done to support human rights. The publicity received as a result was an afterthought, but was also used to help advance the cause even more. Next time you make a comment calling people sheep, make sure you’re not the (ignorant) sheep yourself (: much love

@Organic Love Madonna has done a lot for publicity, that is true, but it is a fact that she was entrenched in the LGBT community even before she was famous. She was definitely a real part of the community even before she became famous. Her dance teacher, Christopher Flynn was one of her biggest influences and that part of her life predates her fame.

There are no words to describe her influence in so many areas. As a long time fan I am still discovering new things every day. She leads the pack, but she is still so far ahead of them that no one performing today will ever catch up. No disrespect to anyone, but her chart statistics are going to live through the current crop of those influenced by her. Her charitable work is rarely ever discussed and is not widely known, but it is massive. Why do so many wait until we lose the Michael Jackson’s, George Michaels, Whitney Houston’s and Prince’s to appreciate their work? We still have this legendary, iconic artist releasing new music more regularly than any of the aforementioned artists and people are telling her she’s too old and needs to stop. Older viable artists should give us all hope for ourselves as we all get older that we too have something to strive for and look forward to. Madame XOXOXO

Everyone of these stars who has had one successful album after another is part of the kabal music msm system based on sexualising everyone and selling it as 'freedom'; subverting family bonds and values which the atheistic industry abhorrs. Bowie, Prince, Dylan etc have been given fame , success and excessive promotion of their work and some of it was very very groundbreaking and meaningful at times. Were they happy? Doesn't matter now. No more. We will protect our children from suicide and self mutilation

Heather dear, I can discern for myself. You do not argue a point, you dismiss the information, and ignore the view I now have, after years of observation and interest. Np Many ,many others who have witnessed a tremendous amount of lies and manipulation by these shills in the last 30 years can see the destruction of the family that their forced 'globalist' propaganda slowly instilled. These over sexualised 'artists' do not offer any stability or love , simply anger, vulgarity and child abuse in favour of temporary hedonism which leads to suicide - mental or physical. This person had her day , sung some beautifully meaningful songs and embarrasses her older self quite often. Sadly , wiser people have been silenced in favour of the kabbal cage, but it is not working anymore I want more for my family. I want real values not subversion for attention.

I remember the Like A Prayer album and there was A.I.D lettering added, (creating awareness). The year would be 1989 and the issue would be suppressed by social ignorance. So she spoke out then at a time there would be opposition. In the early years at the height of her fame she made this taboo known and a different light that of compassion and understanding. She truly deserving of the award. Change, don't be to cynical in what change is. One day it'll catch up and if there is instability to adapt then there's a gonna... mean to say "The world is your oyster, don't be afraid to take a look". Agree

Madonna is brought up in the conversation .. but with Madonna interviews; no mention of Cyndi. One thing that would be difficult to accomplish with both them in the same room working on a project; discipline. Madonna IS very disciplined. Cyndi is scattered. But both are very creative and passionate about their work. Definitely two worlds colliding.
