I'm surprised she didn't say she was influenced by British music when she lived there. William Orbit and Stuart Price were among the most cutting-edge artists in British electronic music at the time that she lived and worked there.

Yes British and Spanish influences are pretty strong in Madonna's career. Surprised she didn't say La Isla Bonita, Spanish Lesson, Spanish Eyes, etc immediately but then, yes, pivot to William Orbit. Not the right frame of mind, perhaps :)

As someone who was in the ball scene/club scene back then ... Visage was nobody, and the only reason why she is around and credited on RuPaul is she was simply alive back then. All of us who were actually in the scene know she was just a white girl spectator.

Nice fantasy...... Some of Madonna’s fans are old enough to remember the facts tho. Michelle Visage got noticed by impersonating Madonna (so much so that she was served with papers by M’s lawyers. That’s a fact.) in some downtown clubs, so I would say the truth is quite the opposite.

More like the music industry is ageist and boycotted her 15 years ago. Name one female musician Madonna's age that is more relevant or popular 🤷 Rebel Heart would've probably won Album of the Year had Taylor Swift or Ariana Grande released it.
