I did notice that she looks like her mother on the album cover, but I did not realize it was intentional. She really does look just like her from the photos I've seen.

I always feel that she actually misses her nights in New York, before she was famous, when she could just go out and have a fun time and party with like-minded others. The anecdote about her shoe is hilarious 🤣.

I’ve loved her since 1984, I was 8. She is tremendous! But we must be honest. She is a revisionist and I have heard her tell this story about the shoe at the VMA’s on Howard Stern. It has now become fact for her. But it is very easy to look at the footage and see that she did in fact KICK both shoes off. The reason this is important is that she was being what we love her for, rebellious. And if anyone remembers from that time she openly said that after her performance her manager and VMA producers scolded her and said he career was over before it started. The opposite (obviously) happened and she became the biggest star of them all. But it was no accident. I don’t understand why she wants people to think it was accidental. She was a very decisive woman, and quite rebellious. Fame and notoriety didn’t happen to fall in her lap, she was very much the driving force, and that is something to be proud of. I don’t know why people feel they need to apologize for wanting fame. If that’s what you want, what you feel u need, go for it! Clearly it is her life and she can tell it as she wants, but the truth is the truth. (And honestly it’s hard to believe that someone in their mid-20’s, so devoted to dance & ballet, would be foiled by a pump.)

Learning and hearing about that performance as a kid and how it was so shocking at the time and catapulted her from being a star to suddenly a mega star was one of the things that fascinated me about her and her career. Then I remember with the invention of KZread when I was around 16 watching it on here for the first time in full and I was mesmerised. It was one of the big “Madonna moments” that made me fall in love with her even though I wasn’t alive when it happened. So hearing her obviously made up version of events over the last few years that it was all an accident and a silly mistake is a bit disappointing. I don’t get why she’d want to lie about it when it was one of her first truly amazing badass moments. It would be interesting if someday in an interview she’s shown the performance and asked to do a commentary throughout the performance, and see what she’d say.

John Iii she doesnt have surgery just fillers i feel like the main reason she looks so good here compared to rebel heart era is because shes not over doing the fillers and pumping in to much just the right amount and her body has always been in good shape

The shoe story always confuses me. From the actual MTV movie awards she clearly does not lose the shoes; it looks like she kicks both shoes off at the beginning of the video.
