The reason why I love her is not just her music, it's because when she stands for something is noy just one thing. It's not just for racism or just for female rights, it is for everything that is not right in this world. Hate crimes, racism, homophobia, female rights, etc. She supports every singke one of those people that feel alone, bullied, discriminated and so on. That is why this lady is on top, not only in the music bussines but in life itself. Take a moment to truly listen to her words and you will understand why half of the world loves her.

Right. And Madonna started doing it when wasn't fashionable. Also she took huge risks when made public support, and her music works: Truth Or Dare film, Erotica, Sex book, the Girlie Show Tour,...

You know what I love about Madonna, for the past couple of days I have been watching her old videos here on KZread and noticed, Madonna is a true performance artist, whenever she hits the stage she never disappoints, she to me is one of the most inspirational women that has ever lived, she is a perfectionist at her craft, her coustumes hair and makeup are always on point and the fact that in this speech she is so intellectual/articulate makes me love her even more she really is the Queen Of Pop

I'm so proud of her, cause her speeches are not hypocritical and with ulterior motives as some other pop stars, she's truly concerned with the gay community and our struggle, cause she always has been since her debut back at the 80's. Even if you don't like her style or music, you have to show respect and admiration for her contribution towards the gay community.

When I first saw her wearing the uniform, I thought, "Great, she's just going to say something stupid about the Boy Scouts because she doesn't know anything about it." But, I have to say, she didn't do that at all. She made excellent points, and I'm glad she said what she did. It's very true that too many people use the name of God to fight their battles when they shouldn't. Absolutely great speech.

I love her. When do we hear the famous talking about world news issues, voicing their unhappiness and imploring for change? We read it in the papers, see it in the news, it makes us as humans feel bitter about the world, and then the world continues, people just carry on making films, writing books and making music. I'm glad she's talking about real issues and I wish more would do it. I would love to see big names from different professions once in a while collectively and publicly talking about real issues, issues that matter. I feel like we are regularly bombarded with bad news from around the world, acts of evil, we feel powerless and there's no 'opposition'.

She tends to do that. She tries to form a connection, which she often does, to make a big universal point. Just look at Madonna's VMA speech in 2009 regarding Michael Jackson's death. A few people thought it was narcissistic, but it was truly a highlight point on the criticisms of the media and on those who left MJ.

Madonna had been fighting for tolerance long before many of her fans (and copycats) were even born. She's intelligent, articulate and has a sense of humor in all situations, unlike some pretentious wannabes who'd say any shit for publicity. Vocally she may not be that big, but there's never been or will be another pop artist with Personality and charisma close to Madonna's. She's the only true Legend alive. I could handle MJ's death or Whitney's, but I cannot imagine the world without Madonna!

To me she is like the Mae West or Marlene Dietrich of this generation never afraid to speak her sexuality! at any age!
