What male musical artist has ever been grilled in interviews like this? And repeatedly over these particular years? She is solid here. Awesome.

Steven K maybe it is just because she is an extraordinary strong character and there is no other artist like her. male or female. But it could also be because of gender, we don't know...

@@harleyquiinnnn but I see people unfairly judge her as being a bitch for showing her incredible strength it's ridiculous I think that there is sexism here she's detached and reserved in interviews, and she gets judged as being cold and bitchy

She loves being “grilled’ - she absolutely hates predictable, sycophantic interviews.

What kind of questions are these? He never would’ve asked a man these questions. She handled this interview very well

It’s nothing to do with her gender. It’s because she hates - really hates - predictable, boring, sycophantic questions. And let’s reverse this. Would a man have acted like she did on Letterman in 1994?

wow this is a great interview, but wow he is tough on her and she replies brilliantly.
Stunning in pink Versace dress! What great times for everyone who was able to witness it!
And this is why M is where she is. Doing full interviews and never being afraid to stand her ground and speak her mind. Makes her more of a real artist compared to others who don’t do interviews or make manipulated documentaries to make themselves look good. M is always raw and full frontal. You take her for who she is.

THANK YOU!!! I love that movie
This man was the right interviewer for her. He was challenging and to the point, and she has always accepted challenges.
I do believe that This film totally rejuvenated the musical film genre.
She's a good actress but her image are so strong so when she's act in movie people are still see her as Madonna

It’s so true. I feel that she broke that stigma frankly with The Best, & Swept Away, strangely enough, I felt her characters more than her.
She is totally pregnant during the interview.

Mandy As far as I've seen her many interviews taken by men, I think their male ego was challenged in front of the confident and successful woman Madonna is, and they all tried so hard to overcome her and gave her a hard time but so coped with all of them very very well like a queen.

She can be very funny I love ❤️ her
Very interesting to watch this 24 years later. Madonna broke a lot of the old rules. Who gets asked these questions now? No one. And his condescending remark about Eva Peron: only one year later we lost Diana, Princess of Wales. Who was called a modern Evita. Someone who could care for the sick and dying during the day, and rock a Versace dress at night raising money for charity. WTF is wrong with that? And the reason people in Argentina weren’t happy about the movie may have had a little to do with Madonna, but it had more to do with the misogynistic British writers of the Musical. Can’t say that I blame them.
Who's that girl is AMAZING!!

Madonna looks beautiful here, fantastic smile. She is as sharp as a tack. The interviewer is quite rude, and overly dramatic.

This is a good interview. She's a bit wrong. Shanghai Surprise, although I enjoy it, and Body of Evidence are not good movies and she's not that great in them. Who's That Girl is a delight. I guess that's why we all like different things.

@M a d o n n a i can say the same about golden globes lol. Award shows are bullshit anyway. Madonna was great in Dangerous Game. But the film is too avant garde or something. Evita? Bad film and she was like a video actress in it. Not good.
