Yes. I also worried about this sumathi popular award for him..and worked for it. But now I realised hez not that kind of 'framed' person. He has a long way to go. And I understood things that Bimal Jayakody said about him in 'miyura kalpana'. Proud to be a fan of him

He did his best with his unique voice.This people have to realize this is ma nowana mama program not a program singing the singer’s originals. And his style is different..He prefer rock ,westernized songs lot..Some sinhala songs were not his color but he gave his best with his unique voice.He didn’t try to imitate the original artist. If he did that way it will not be successful too. We can’t expect him to sing the original version. But he nailed elvis’s song. I listened to the original and found that his voice is matching with elvis’s. I don’t know why there’s some hateful comments. But I observed some negative comments are from his anti fans in dewani inima..If we can appreciate what should be appreciated it would be so nice❤️ but this is Sri lanka so we can’t expect much..But I personally really enjoyed this program.And also there were some senior artists who sang some songs worst than him but aren’t they talented?They are talented but they tried something new with their voices. So we should understand that fact first. But some music professors who can’t even clap rhythmically giving pora talks here.I’m not criticizing anyone but I can’t imagine how wonderful would be this country if there’s people who can see good in everything..But we can’t expect it from anyone..But I really love this man as a singer,actor and person ❤️If you don’t like this don’t watch this..Why you bother to watch this??And don’t compare the artist with the others from that we can clearly find that you guys are trying to uplift someone by making him down..That’s even not good to your star also😂 As a person who watches this program I enjoy each and every episode.. Because the artists come here to sing others songs and they choose the songs because they are so close to them..Sometimes those songs are not their styles but they try them because this is a good opportunity to sing them..So first understand the title of this program...❤️ Good luck everyone
