Very well done. I enjoyed this, didn't think you strayed from the topic much. Thanks for posing a question too, that made it easier to know what to write in the comments. :)

“We are made of the things we lose” stopped me mid dish washing. Not just all we hang on to and keep close but all that we touched before and lost. Yes please do write that song

I can't remember how much I spoke about it, in this video. But, I recited some of the lyrics at the end of my Money Game Part 2 reaction; kzread.info/dash/bejne/dZeto6-oqcXKh5s.html The song is finished, I'm just trying to work out the best way to present it. But over the next moth or so, something should be ready to release. Glad to hear it had an impact. There is something special about it for me.

I had to go and listen to the Dire Straits song before listening to your analysis, so thanks for introducing me to it. Also, "Hey la, my boyfriends back" immediately took me to the song "My Boyfriends Back" by The Angels. I even sung it in my head like they do. The power of music memory, right?!

Glad I could introduce you to it, Sharon! I had to go and check out My Boyfriend's back! Can't believe I'd never heard it before. It's right up my street! I wouldn't mind betting the line in Romeo & Juliet is a reference to that song. Music memory is a wonderful thing!

Great video Izzy.... Don't change the way you make videos, it wasn't clunky at all. I think i need to dig out my old Dire Straits records.... As a young man i made mistakes usually by not thinking through what i was doing..... Letting my heart rule my head sometimes.... I'm not perfect, only human. An older me wouldn't make the same mistakes, I hope! Thanks mate.

Not a band I went into the depths for, but they went into the depths for me regardless. Romeo and Juliet were real and cleary from the now. It was Dire Straits that were out of kilter with the fusion of confusion 80's. What a song. Sir Francis Bacon would be turning in his grave, his muse the goddess Pallas Athena shaking her spear in disbelief at the absurdity of all the fluoro. Nice work Izzy.

Thanks, Ache! That last sentence went a bit over my head, but after some searching I've now fell into a rabbit hole of some very interesting articles! So thanks!

@@IzzyIzenstain Haha oh dear! Not sure if I should say you're welcome, or I am terribly sorry. This one runs deeper than deep once past the novel aspects. Plenty of pariahs and fixated factions to navigate, but the crumbs are there. Just not in the one location. Consume all the Bacon you can to fulfill the holes. The where, when and who with will answer many of the questions, yet many may feel none the wiser. Language is literally the centric narrative here, so best bear this in mind at all times. We are what we think and as Bacon famously once said, "Knowledge is power". In-deed it is and we are bound to the word by sentence and by law. Enjoy and may the Logos be with you.

I think I've many times been in love with my own (almost imaginary) image of the person I've been together with. Especially when younger. Like my brain had drawn a picture of the person that wasn't real. Partly because they have been difficult to get to know properly, very quiet and reserved. It felt like I had picture of what I subconciously wanted the person to be, various hopes and dreams I've attached to that. Maybe the person contributed to this as well, not sure. We all put a mask on in the beginning of relationships.... but this realisation was quite hard to deal with for me, I felt stupid and naive, it felt so unfair to attribute traits that wasn't realistic onto a person, which in turn led to wrong expectations of each other and many disappointments. When many times it was actually I myself who made myself disappointed by creating these images. (This insight came to me after reading the diaries of Anaïs Nin).

Thanks for sharing! It's dangerous to but people on pedestals, isn't it. They're never gonna be able to live up to that. But we live, learn and grow, don't we. Every "mis-step" is an opportunity to learn and grow.
