Lure fishing VS Bait fishing! Fishing Cape Cod Canal
Ойын-сауық
We found great success fishing the Cape Cod Canal using the SP Minnow Lure during a moving tide, then throwing cut bait during the slower stages of the tide. Join us today and learn when and how to use both! It is a tough journey to land a trophy striped bass, hopefully our videos can inspire you to get out there and try for yourself!

Dad stole the show on this one! Good stuff!
So much respect to you and your family especially when your dad said no need to be greedy then let the fish I can only dream of reeling in swim away. *goosebumps*
"It snapped at the sinker dad. I need a high low" "No no, that line is shit. I told you that" Haha nice. Good fishing though

You and your dad fishing together is awesome, much live to you guys
In south Africa we use pilchard like the bait you are using... However when fishing for big fish we usually cut the tail and head off make a slit on it and let the hook sit on top and the leader lay in the slit and we cotton it up with ghost cotton or we can turn the pilchard inside out and cotton it up too... Biggest fish I caught though was a 60kg cob on the tail piece... Can't wait to go fishing after lock down... I love watching your videos man... Keep me coming!!!
Yours si the best fishing channel, I am learning a lot with You.
Was that Dad singing shake it up baby @10:25 ? lol . it’s awesome you can spend time together

I love how clear that water was! I was watching all the fish in the water. Looking forward to seeing you guys on the gulf side in Tampa.
"we have enough fish, save some for someone else"... Gained my respect!... Just do me a favor, call them what they really are, STRIPERS!, Not rock fish lol
There’s nothing quite like a blitz at the canal. I was there this morning and it was amazing. Must have caught 10-15 40” plus. It’s unlike fishing anywhere else. Awesome video man keep up the good work!!

Amazing, video. And nice fishing spot.
Great day of fishing
Also… my father fishes the canal. He’s fished it for 30 years. Up here we call it “the ditch.” He typically fishes lures in the am early and bait during the day. We always drift our baits with the current. It’s more active but it’s more natural. Once in a while we may put like a 1/4 or 1/2 oz lead core sinker if the current is really fast but we usually fish closer to slack time when the current isn’t super fast. And small chunks not big. All some good tricks for the canal
Awesome video!!! You're right, some moments are for lures and some others for bait! both are awesome ways to catch some fish...Congrats You have a great "fishing" family...greetings from Melipilla in Chile!!!

I live around here in the summer time, east end of cape cod canal with live mackerel is something you won’t get anywhere else. Blues occasionally as well as huge striped bass. I caught my personal best there 45 pounds! You should definitely come back this summer and maybe we can meet up

Salt, and fresh water,,bait ALWAYS beats everything,,,,,,,and that first hit, adrenaline rush,NEVER GOES AWAY,,,,,the more fish you catch,,,,you learn how to control it,,,,but the rush never goes away!!!!!!!😎
Tell papa he use poopy line.. lol great job guys I love you show. Keep it up.. +AAA
Great videos. You went to some of my favorite spots when you were on Cape Cod. One of them used to be secret but not anymore. Careful reeling in those fish too fast while they’re pulling drag… if you get any stripers that are actually really big fish you’ll be apt to bend out your hooks. I’ve seen it happen before. Unless you’re changing out hooks and rings on sp minnows
Nice striper!!my dad caught to monsters n the 70s very big 3 or 4 ft...
Went to cape Hatteras! Went surf fishing got skunked! Went to the avon pier we got 3 sharks and 1 mullet! But enjoyed every minute!

She has the ability to see what is to come 😃 and follows the action quite well keeping your audience always tined in . Keep Up the good work ..On to 200K.LOL

Just to let you know if you drive onto the other side of the canal where the power plant is there’s a drop off and big stripers like to hang out over there because there’s cooler water because of the power plant
