Fighting GIANT Bluefin Tuna! Catch n Cook- (Cape Cod Commercial Tuna Fishing)

Спорт

This is what 48 hours on two separate commercial tuna fishing boats looks like! We were after Giant Atlantic Bluefin Tuna out of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and caught 2 Tuna's! These are some of the strongest fish in the ocean and one of my favorite eating! I made an asian inspired tuna carpaccio for dinner, hope you guys enjoy.

Victor, I am an American engineer. One of the parts vendor for Seigler reel told me that Seigler is about to introduce a larger, maybe 50 size reel and wants to lock horns with Penn and Shimano. Their reels may be superior, but I don't see them on any videos. They are a Virginia company. Please give their marketing manager a call, they may give you one of there new reels. Support small American manufactures, get their reels on KZread. Love your show, thanks

Interesting fact about bluefin fishing. Or as can be your best friend or worst nightmare. Some pods help fisherman by leading the tuna to their hooks. But if they don't like you they will instead eat the fish off your line.

The vast majority of these tuna go to Japan. I'm not oppose to commercial fishing, but they need to be heavily monitored. My experience with commercial fisheries is that they feel they own the ocean, very similar to guides. I know they are trying to make a living, but those fish and oceans belong to us as well. Recreational fisherman are heavily restricted to accommodate the needs of the commercial guys as well. But most commercial guys dont see it that way, they think we're stealing from them, not the other way around.

About 2 weeks ago my friend was out fishing a wreck W/NW of Göteborg (sweden) just an hour or so offshore by boat from my home. He shot this amazing video, it was copletely glassed off and a big school of huge bluefin passed by them, circled the boat, spying, checking the boat out. Hard to tell by the video, but he estimated some of those chunks to be well over 300lbs. I'll ask if he can upload to yt, it's beautiful:) - and as always, great video Victor and broke!
