Ciao from Italy 🇮🇹, what a awesome saltwater fish you first caught with your lure! God bless you buddy, I fish the Adriatic/Mediterranean seas , and the local large rivers that run into the sea, or lagoons here in the Marche Region of Italy.

Well said there Luke. John is the boyo when it comes to fishing, learnt a lot from his other channel too, the fish locker workshop. Genuine bloke just giving fishing the good sporting attitude it deserves. Besides the foraging videos are second to none, very knowledgeable, he restored my passion for sustainable rockpooling and conservation for our coastlines. I hope to see the channel grow more @The Fish Locker keep up the good work mate. 👍

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Years since I've been sea fishing, but I've already started making purchases so this July, when we get down to Cornwall, I'm all over it! Not to mention some serious rock pooling. Have been digging about in the rocks and pools since I could crawl when we were on our summer hols in North Devon or Cornwall, but now I know what, how, and when to do it, this year is gonna be an absolute blast!

I use both those rigs for Perch fishing. Never thought to use for the sea. Great tip thanks. Bloody hell that Wrasse was amazing! used those washing up capsule tubs for fishing for ages, perfect for stuff like that. Plus, recycling so bonus. Slowly working my way though the videos on the channel.

Feral Grandad - They work great for wrasse the only issue is the soft plastics don’t last very long. Those tubs are great but go brittle after a while. We also have a second channel where we upload more of the “how to” stuff and will be trying our new projects. 😊👍🏻🎣🦀

I've noticed one with a 'thumbnail' of a Red Gurnard and a length of multi coloured beads. 🤗 That's definitely my next watch. 🐟🎣👍😊 Ps I was going to say that Ballan must have been pushing 7lb. I really appreciate your effort, but let's keep it real: A beginner lure angler does most likely not own a boat, but climbs over more or less dangerous rocks down to the waterline.

Let’s keep this real? What about a boat owner who wants to learn to lure fish? Or better still, the beginner lure angler on the shore could watch the shore videos?

@@TheFishLocker Why don't we talk about the majority, who can't afford a boat and an adequate car to tow that boat, let alone owning a house with a yard where you could store the boat. And the beginner angler at the shore is facing a whole new set of problems and challenges like finding the mark, avoiding getting snagged, and so on. You can't compare boat fishing with shore fishing, in my humble opinion.
