I don't think it's fair to compare him to Willie. If Willie sounded this good, I'd have been a way bigger Willie fan. I am however a huge fan of Lukas. He's got the Nelson twang in his voice, but he adds a silky smoothness and buttery soft touch that Willie could only hope to sound like. Keep up the good work. I look forward to many years of greatness from Lukas.

He has his dad's voice, but he has his own unique style. He genuine & that's what truly matters.

@@othmarloschy9639hello from Iowa, United States of America! Yes definitely he has German and Austrian ancestors! Both of his grandfathers immigrated to America in the late 1800's...one from Austria and the other from Germany. My father was born in 1909 in the state of Minnesota, USA.

Willie is truly a musical genius- there are not many, and he is one. He created so many good works, for himself and others, but Lukas...Lukas might just be his best musical creation!!

My dad passed away in’99, and he would have loved this. We listened to your dad so much back when I was a kid. Love your voice. So smooth.

When he wants to do his dad's songs he honors him and he does a fantastic job but when he's on his own doing his own thing he's just as great

Willie has always had this effect on me (makes me tear up) and darn is his boy don't do the same thing. Even his guitar solo was perfect. Love the way he takes his time with this song.

Thank you Lucas for showing the world how to be your own man but honor your father too! Something that is missing in the world today, but you show it is possible.

I just watched the Willie documentary and so glad the boys are carrying on a family tradition. When the world gets rough, just LIsten to Willie.

Timeless is all I can say, how close the tones in his voice is to his fathers. Magnificent talent.

When Lukas was 10 or 11 ,on Willie's B-day he asked his dad what he would like for his birthday Willie replied, 'Well I think it would be nice if you could play a song on the guitar" Lukas never played before Willie sat and taught him one of his songs He learned it in a few short hours and the rest is history! He really loves and adores his Dad It's Beautiful 💖💕💞

That is not just any Sj-200. That is Bob Dylan's custom Gibson. Lukas got it during his time in Humboldt. Dylan gave to a friend who gave to his son Stacey. Stacey had the van he was sleeping in shot up and left the guitar and Humbolt behind. Gibson thought so much of this guitar made a 175 replicas of this guitar. At some point Lukas had Bob sign the guitar for him

Timeless, Your fathers legacy is in great hands, I can't get enough of you and your brothers especially when you play with dad, Willie for President would solve most if not all the worlds problems!

I definitely hear some influence, but that's NOT WILLIES VOICE. He has his own tone, and timbre and a very diffeent vibrato. I'm glad to see that he's a REAL TALENT, not just riding Dad's coat tails. I hope he does well, it's a pleasure to watch and listen to him.

I'll never be without that incredible voice, for as long as I live ... he does Dad as good as Dad! Thank you, Lukas! Just gonna get better and better, as he gets older!

Just like I have my dad's voice and accent and genetic traits, and yet I am a completely different person with my own personality and everything. You are definitely your Dads boy, but, you have your own thing, and I love it. I can help but love it. I hear your Daddy in you, but I also hear you, me your own unique personality. People say you are just trying to sound like your Dad, which still isnt a bad thing, if you're trying to sing like someone that a good one to choose, but I dont hear anything but Lukas... Who inherited, Dads voice, just like I inherited my Dads voice.

I LOVE Lukas Nelson and I have Always loved Willie Nelson since I was a little girl!! His son Micah sings good too. Different voices but both beautiful. He seems to do more OUT there types of music than just country. It’s a good thing I like Out there music LOL it seems he likes to experiment and that’s just cool! Lukas does some experimenting too it seems. But he is just pure awesome I love that his voice sometimes channels his dads!!

Listened to it again, and it sounds even better, this fellow really is a great singer!

I've watched Lukas and Micah play with their Dad's band for many years now. They are talents in their in their own rights. But it is so great to hear and watch them recreated the greats. These songs link me to my Father. And these songs link my children to me. My daughter attended her first concert in 1999- willie.

30 year old guy here and this is one of my favorite songs. I hope this fella keeps doing exactly what he's doing till the end of his time. This kind of music is almost non existent and just like the song says.....ain't it funny how time slips away. Keep it up sir, here a raised glass from Georgia.

What a song and what a singer. I could listen to this guy all day. He brings the lyrics alive so easily and with passion and respect. That's what makes it work every time.....star quality! Willie will always be with us as long as this young man keeps singing and playing the guitar like this. He's my new go to musician.
