Y’all aren’t explaining it right. Standard Haki-Ryou-Conquerors Haki are 3 separate things. What Luffy figured it this episode was that the reason he couldn’t really fight and hurt Kaido previously was because Haki & Ryou weren’t enough. Based on Luffy learning the principles of Ryou he figured out how to make Conquerors flow and surround himself self as a guard and weapon. So that’s what this episode was about. Luffy now knows the strongest version of Haki: Conqueror’s Haki Armor or Advanced Conqueror’s Haki. Y’all keep mixing it up with Ryou when it’s different

Ryou is just another name for adv arm haki. It’s not separate to haki, it’s just a type of haki.

The problem is that the animation used to showcase each type is constantly changing to the point it’s difficult to understand what the f is happening. One Piece literally became Dragon Ball lately with all these auras and shit.

Damn the different haki upgrades got peoples head spinning. Adv armament/Ryou Adv obs/future sight Adv COQ- what luffy unlocked in this standoff with kaido, the ability to wield his Conqueror Haki as if it were Armament. Ryou is both a armament technique and adv armament, its the ability to bypass defence and attack from the inside. Luffy says "you can infuse yourself with Conqueror's cant you?" Because he realized it while fighting Kaido, like when he learned to wield a version of Shave by watching CP9. In that scene hes applying is Conquerors haki to his Ryou attacks as if it were armament. Think you for reading this nerd rant.

Zoro also used coating of conqueror when he scared Kaido, that’s why Kaido asked him about the supreme colored haki. Also the yellowed aura was the same as Luffy’s when he used it as well.

just like in all manga,the protagonist always needs to be the strongest of hes friends, but from what ive seen zoro slashes are more damaging then luffys blunt force attacks, very enemy has a spicific weakness i guess.

I know this has been like a year ago, but to those who still don't get it, Color of the Supreme King means Conqueror's Haki. Kaido noticed it in Zoro during this fight but Zoro at this point was not aware he has it. In Wano, both Luffy and Zoro used Advanced Conqueror's Haki. It's just that Luffy already knew he has it and was trying to master it in the process, while Zoro didn't have idea he possesses it and was sometimes accidentally using/unleashing it.

Yamata no Orochi was a mythical eight headed and eight tailed dragon, Susanoo(god yada yada pretty much most shounen anime watchers know him) had to get him drunk in order to kill him and return to heaven at least if I remember. Orochi is just trash at using it, under no circumstance is it weaker than the karp that jumped through the dragon gate(kaido's devil fruit).

Don't take Rob not liking Zoro personal. He dislikes Kakashi, Killua and Kenpachi too, it's his trademark to hate on cool characters.

So, what happened in that moment where Kaido hits both Law and Zoro. Kaido doesn't hit them, not with his body or his kanibo. Law does manage to move them out of the way ... of Kaido. He doesn't, however, move them out of the path of the lightning bolt Kaido was trailing. Kaido missed, his attack didn't.

one differentiation you guys should know for going forward: in laymans terms ppl use ryou to refer to advanced armament haki (even tho its just what they call haki in general in wano) what luffy just learned to apply was advanced conquerors haki (which only the best of the best have like kaido stated) adv conq. haki was the game changer that really allowed luffy to hurt kaido without the damage being negligible like how ryou allowed him to bypass his tough skin/scales and do any damage in the first place etc. 💯

You know, the one thing that I feel like I gotta give Kid is the dude has stupid resilience. I think he's the only one that never really got knocked out the entirety of Roof Piece. Buried and incapacitated, sure. But I don't remember him ever getting knocked out. If it weren't for that, his tenacity wouldn't have mattered at all. So props to him for the sturdy constitution. You don't get built up that way being weak. On a random aside... Anyone else think Coby might have the most potential in the entire series out of a majority of characters? Zoro vs big mom would be dope but zoro fighting Kaidos right hand man makes more since seeing as he’s luffy’s right hand man and luffy is currently fighting Kaido so it’s just perfect that way besides big mom is a captain to be taking down by anyone whose not on the same level status wise is just ridiculous as we all already know too many powerful people one the same ship causes problems and if zoro was powerful enough to take big mom down there would be no need for him to be a member of luffy’s crew and not have a crew of his own.
