Hey Lucky, drill a hole at the end of each tyne, so you can drop a pin into them. Stops the straps sliding off the end of the forks and doesn't affect functionality. I used to fit aftermarket trays all the time, the pin saved some embarrassing discussions about damaged cab bulkheads....

Wonder if taking the bumper and brackets off and sliding the tank in so the tank shelves are on top of the bottom half of the frame is an option? Bolts fall or are taken out, tank doesn't fall and can't be taken. Once the bed is on off course.

  • @jimt9661

I'd add a rubber strip between the aluminum tank and the steel frame rail. you get some funky corrosion when those two metals meet. Stainless hardware helps that situation as well!

Seems most vids are 5 to 7 minutes and every now and then you do 14 to 18 minutes and we really like those so I'm sure I'm not the only one that likes what you do and love the vehicles you drive.. Anyways thumbs up if lucky should have his own show or do longer vids lol. Just busting balls man no big deal but I do think there's a show there if you had another guy like Finnegan or Freiburger lmao ohhh what a show it be..maybe join road kill .love that episode..ok man stay safe and always remember never crushem restorem

I'm curious about how the tank performs. I installed a similar tank from Rhodes Race cars and it is a disappointment. At 1/4 tank, i fill it and it only takes 9-10 gallons. Also baffles dont work as well at 1/4 tank, sump runs dry after a long right turn with excelleration. That's with running an external pump with EFI. I actually had more range and better performance with the in-cab tank.

Classic performance products (CPP) Fits good easy install and good for a daily driver but after I added boost and driving a little harder in the corners I noticed the fuel pickup would go dry so tank needs more baffling for that kind of driving. I’m installing a Ricks Tanks in the near future.
