Lucid Dreams & Nightmares: Ever Dream This Man?
For thousands of years, we’ve pondered the meaning of dreams. Dreams offer insight into our subconscious. Dreams help us process emotions and organize our memories.
Most of us live our waking lives giving a sort of performance. Whether through dishonesty, embarrassment, or simply being polite, there are thoughts we do not share.**Dreams have intrigued us for thousands of years. They provide a peek into our subconscious. They aid in managing emotions and arranging our memories.
We often perform in our awake state. We might be dishonest, embarrassed, or just polite. Thus, we keep some thoughts to ourselves.** Dreams, on the other hand, offer a platform where these suppressed thoughts can freely roam. They are the uncensored version of our minds, a place where our deepest desires, fears, and secrets can come to light without the fear of judgment or consequences.
Dreams also serve as a mirror, reflecting our inner state of mind. They can hint at unresolved issues, unfulfilled desires, or even potential future scenarios. They can act as a guide, helping us navigate through the labyrinth of our thoughts and emotions.
Moreover, dreams can be a source of inspiration. Many artists, writers, and scientists have reported getting brilliant ideas from their dreams. They can stimulate our creativity, encourage problem-solving, and even help us prepare for future events.
In conclusion, dreams are not just random images that appear during sleep. They are a powerful tool that our mind uses to process information, manage emotions, and explore the infinite possibilities of our imagination. They are an essential part of our cognitive and emotional well-being.
While you sleep, your inhibitions disappear. And you’re left with the raw, unforgiving truth. The real you.
But dreams can be more than that.
Some claim dreams are the realm between ours and the spirit world. Some dreams can predict the future.
Studies have shown that dreams can be shared between people.
Lucid dreaming is when you - not your dreaming self, your conscious self - controls the dream. You are, literally, a God. The universe is your playground.
It’s exhilarating and powerful. But there is a dark side.
What if: while lucid dreaming, you weren’t in control of the dream? But, someone else was?
That’s no longer a dream; it’s a nightmare. And it’s no longer a playground - it’s a prison.
Every night, the lights go out, you close your eyes, and he’s waiting for you.

I just started watching this video but I’m watching it because back in my Air Force days I had a dream and realized I was dreaming. Usually I’d open my eyes in this scenario but this time I realized that I had full function of my body and I could stay dreaming while moving…so I got a crazy idea. I was living in a dorm, which was basically just a bedroom with a bathroom, and I got the idea to walk over to my bathroom sink and look in the mirror. I walked over and sure enough my reflection appeared in the mirror but my eyes were closed. It was the craziest thing. I tried to open my eyes and I could see the reflection of myself in the mirror straining my face to open my eyes. I never got my eyes open but then I had the idea of just touching my nose and hair and stuff. My reflection did everything I did but my eyes remained closed. It was a very weird experience that I’ve thought about a lot for about ten years now. I was sober too

I used to have a dream about a guy with a black cape and top hat. No face. I would wake up and see him standing by my bed. He would follow me when I stayed at the neighbors. I would see him in their bathroom window. This was since childhood. We moved to a brand new home. He was still there at night. In my senior year I screamed for my mother. She threw away every book I had on witchcraft or horror stories. I never saw him again. I was 24 yrs old and pregnant with my son when I met an artist the same age and born the same day. She had a picture of this guy in her portfolio. I asked her who he was. She said “He is the dark man that chases me in my dreams“. I have never forgotten that and have never seen this man again. This is a true story I rarely tell anyone. I am kind of afraid talking about him will bring him back.

My wife had a lucid dream which always began at the base of a tall flight of wooden stairs leading to a green door. She could do whatever she wanted in the dream, but it would only end when she ascended the stairs and tried the door. It was always locked. This went on every week, sometimes several times a week, for seven years. She thought she was going crazy. Around that time I was sent to Venezuela for work. We met and started to date. I brought her to the States to meet my parents. Although she had never seen my apartment, the stairs and door were the same from her dream. I knew about the dream but never connected the two things. We went up the stairs, stepped inside, and she never had the dream again. That was twenty-five years ago and we are still together.

What a beautiful love story- thank you for sharing it with us! I perceive it to be God giving you and your wife hints of a future to come, but that you cannot enter the door until His timing for you to meet is right. Because once you crossed that threshold in the real world, it was a full circle moment- the right time came, and you guys never had that dream again. It’s because you didn’t have to, its purpose was met! How cool! ❤

I’ve experienced a lot of lucid dreams and never have seen this man; however, I’ve met a woman twice in my dreams, and the craziest thing was that I met her in person! I encountered this woman on an Amtrak train bound for San Diego. She and I locked eyes and said, “Have we met before?” We engaged in a 3-hour conversation about books we’ve read, music, hobbies, and other interesting things. It still blows my mind. This happened back in 2004 when I was 17. I didn’t have a cell phone and didn’t get her number, which I regret. Later, I realized that this woman was the same woman from my dreams. It still blows my mind. No one believes me, and that’s okay. I at least have this memory, and I hope to meet her again someday, maybe in the next dimension.

Same here. I rarely have lucid dreams but when I do it seems like I wake up immediately after I realize I'm in control. But it's impossible to gauge how much time has passed while dreaming or how much of a dream I remember. So maybe I actually stay in a lucid dream longer than I realize because I can't remember the lucid part. Dreams are so ethereal that it's hard to pin down exactly what's happening when I fall asleep but it's a very interesting topic that I'm sure has some deeper cognitive function than we realize.

Back in 2004 I was the gunner on my platoon SGT’s truck in Baghdad. We was posted up under an overpass waiting for another platoon to come switch out on patrol with us. The last thing I remember doin in Iraq was flicking a cigarette from the roof of the truck. I was shot in the back with a RPG a second later. When the grenade exploded it slammed me forward and I busted my head on the machine gun mounted in front of me. It completely trashed my short term memory. I haven’t had any dreams since then. For the longest time I would only have this one single reoccurring nightmare damn near every night. Then one day that just stopped as well.

@@radbunnie2297 it will always start in the same exact spot with the same exact outcome. But every time I have this nightmare it’s like having it for the first time all over again. It starts out with me walking around at the end of a gun fight me and my platoon was just in. Im trying to find anyone else that’s alive but everyone is dead. I can see their faces clear as day. I walk past each member of my platoon and the longer it takes me to find any of them alive I start getting worked up real bad. My breathing starts to get faster. I can start to hear my heart beating away in my ears. I start to feel a little panic setting in. One by one I start making a mental note of everyone in my platoon. There’s just one last soldier left to find. After what seems like an eternity I finally see one last soldier laying on his side facing away from me. I get this huge knot in my stomach as I start walking towards this guy. Right away I get this overwhelming feeling like I know exactly who it is. Once I get next to him I take a knee and start to roll him over so I can see his face. That’s when I wake up covered in sweat trying to rip my shirt off because I think I’m covered in blood. There is no doubt in my mind that that is me laying there on the ground and I wake up every time just before I can see my face.

I also believe that our current biology is the result of bio engineering, and our brains are the result of much tweaking and improvisation. A sort of antenna that allows for connection of higher dimensions into this lower one. I think humans are different because we have the equipment to turn ideas into things. Other animals cannot do this.

Dreams are not quite what people think they are. Sleeping is almost like death. From my personal understanding and belief, your soul isn't quite at rest when you are asleep. It's in a state of superposition. It doesn't have form until it needs to, and It can wander around the fabric of spacetime while still being attached to your physical body. This is why things like astral travel and remote viewing are possible. See, I think your soul acts kinda like a quantum particle. It exists in parts, can be in multiple places at once, and doesn't quite have a form like our physical body does. Like in quantum entanglement, something that happens to one particle can happen to the other, instantaneously, and regardless of distance. I've had lucid dreams that were so real that I thought the dream was actually real life until something woke me up. I've felt true physical sensations of flying, being physically hurt, and many other things. This indicates to me that obviously, while your body does exist idle in the physical realm, it's not the complete picture. Brain chemical reactions alone don't quite explain a lot of the mechanics behind dreams. Time isn't really a thing. It’s only a measurement between objects and space to give lifeforms a grounding to base our perspectives around. When you are dreaming, this is why some people may get glimpses of the past, present, and future. Of different places, people, or events that have happened that you might have never had any knowledge of or experienced before. Your soul is able to cross the chronal barriers of time and space that are poised onto us in the physical world when at rest. The idea of a "multiverse" is only a partially correct explanation, but not quite the whole picture. Some dreams can just be like mental hallucinate constructs, but others are very possibly you visiting a separate aspect of our reality. There are other dimensions and realities that occupy the same space as us that we just can't see, and some are distant outside of our spacetime fabric. The question of the soul, consciousness, and dreams is very complex and would take much discussion and discovery to really understand. Although, understanding these things will help us advance the understanding of the physical world and how to mold it to our will. You also need to realize that the purpose of life isn't really to live it, but that it's all really just a test. Everything around you isn't quite what you think it is to be.

I had a dream that my dog spoke to me. He had a nervous, but posh English accent. He intimated that he was afraid he was going to "be turned into laundry detergent." I don't know what it meant, but that was his voice from then on. My wife loved him and the voice. It stuck. He became our inner voice of anxiety. He passed away as dogs do, but his voice is still alive!

When u get in the habit of doing it you will do it in your dreams and instantly know something is off.. then you can proceed to do what you want. I also know I'm dreaming when my teeth fall out. I know they will regrow and I can go fly around and stuff

I never had any dream where I was chased. I was usually the one doing the chasing The one I remember the clearest (it’s also one of the oldest) is where two robbers ran downstairs where I was waiting and large steel doors keep falling down behind them and then I began chasing them since it was in my house. There was also an alarm ringing. I chased after them but they were fast. When I exited the garage they were driving away and I ran after them on the road. It was dark outside. I couldn’t keep up and eventually gave up, I walked towards the left edge of the road, I looked to the right seeing a truck coming towards me. I simply looked back down at the moat and then… I fell in it.

The most memorable lucid dream I ever had, I was working on my old Ford Focus in my garage with my friend Mark. We had just gotten back from the auto parts store and we discovered we needed another part, I have no idea what part we needed. But knowing it was a dream, and not wanting to go to the store AGAIN, I decided to just "produce" what we needed with my mind. I decided to make it appear on my workbench, and so it did. I held it up and said "here Mark, I have one". He was very happy and immediately began to install it on the car..

On 9-11-2001, I was one of the first rescue crews called to the World Trade Center. In the years that followed, many other rescue workers said they dreamed almost the same thing. I was on the pile of burning rocks. Many of my friends got trapped. I was lucky and did not. But I was there working for weeks . I called a psychiatrist friend of mine and She told me the dream just meant I worked too much and missed my kids…..She was wrong. I was stuck in NYC for weeks. The whole time for the whole video until that very end, I was really convinced that constant frequent dreaming of this man were real having me to start feeling a sense of unease feeling that I might end up dreaming him but now knowing that it was all fake, I’m feeling more relieved, but still feeling a sense of unused that I might actually end up dreaming him so I better be prepared for what comes at me in that dream of him whatever it may be about

I have dreams about the future often but it’s just a specific point of view for a few seconds that doesn’t make sense at the time, but that I’ll recognize the moment it happens, usually months even years later.

I did a great research paper on dreams and learning. I also did a lot of studying in my dreams for the next days test. But I also did a lot of remote viewing, mostly as a young kid before I had ever heard the term.
