This movie was so beautiful and emotional I love Luca and Alberto’s relationship so much it was the true definition of friendship.

the movie is so simple that it is perfect for interpretation. it is specific enough but also not specific to just the right amount that so many people can relate on a super emotional level.

Right, that's how "normal" movies used to be. They didn't have those extremely deep and mostly unrealistic topics but just show some life story. Not every movie needs to be a (super) hero movie or have an extra ordinary story. It's just a classical fable. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fable And the actual message is what grandma said at the end 15:02 "Some people will never accept him, but some will. And he seems to know how to find the good ones". I think that's the most important part of the message. Accept that some will always find reasons why they don't like you or even hate you. You can't change that and you can't demand that they change either. Just focus on the positive. Find those who accept you the way you are. Sometimes that may not be easy or takes almost your whole life. However you shouldn't focus on the negativity. As I wrote that I suddenly have to think about Nico Robin of One Piece.

This is definitely one of my favorite Pixar films. The music, the animation, the character designs and interactions, THE THEMES!!! AHH I cried several times during this film. I'm so happy you reacted to this and loved it!!

Also, it's been confirmed by actual Italians that the distance between Genova and Portorosso is only about an hour's train ride away. So if you're sad about the ending, don't be. You now have proof that they visit each other every chance they get. Naysayers, shut up.

NO! It's a truly wonderful movie and they mentioned a character with my name! Pixar never disappoints and this was AN EPIC SUMMER MOVIE! I love the italian aesthetic, music and Luca's friendship with Alberto and Giulia. I give it a 9.9 out of 10!

I agree with you, when I've watched it for the first time, it was kinda sad and all, but It was kinda funny too 😆 And now this movie is my favorite ones yet, and I didn't regret watching it :) Sooo, I'll rate it infinity\10

I'm Transgender and gay, so many people don't accept me the way I am and the dad's speech at the end tied with people wanting to hunt them down hit close to home for me. Many things don't make me cry as I'm not an emotional person (due to my childhood and all that) but this movie almost made me cry for them. This movie also made me feel accepted in a way which is why its my favourite Disney/Pixar movie. I also sympathise with Alberto a lot cause my dad left when I was 1 so I also grew up without a dad and I also was a major loner all throughout school and now whenever someone starts to talk to me for even just a day I get attached quickly. So yeah, I really feel for Alberto and his background and I just felt his emotions all throughout the movie.

Would love to see your reaction to Ice Age, Megamind, or even the new Fear Street series!! :) Also the end credits showed how they kept in touch, which is part of the reason they were long!

Well Santa would be Saint or Holy, and she’s just using cheese names. 😂 I assumed she was making up the names of saints. Those first credits show a good bit of what Luca and Alberto are doing afterwadd. Luca in school, showing his true nature to his classmates, Alberto living with Massimo and becoming a swimming instructor… The translation for what Alberto says is “Pleased to meet you, Girolamo Trombetta” The director explained _It’s a silly kids thing from when I grew up. It’s at its base a pun with a hand shake that goes with it. It’s Italian roughly for “nice to meet you my name is twisty trombone!” And as you say your name you mimick the name in the hand shake movement.”_

the movie was one of the best and i hope they make a part 2. My favorite character was maximo because he reminds me of my brother so much, Socially awkward, quiet, huge, bushy eyebrows and knows how to cook ❤️

Man i loved this movie is just so cute and simple, it has a ghibli vibe and i i’m also italian lmao ( half italian ), even tho some part it felt like they though they were in a Mexican town

3:14 Ngl when I saw that scene it reminded me of that one moment in the game undertale when right after you fight undyne (who is a guard fish lady) you the player (aka frisk) make it to an area called hot lands and since Undyne is a fish lady she ends up fainting (and plus since she is wearing a suit of armor I assume it does get really hot in that) since she needs water and it’s too hot so legit Frisk poured a cup of water on top of her head and she’s fine afterwards xD
