I love this film a lot more than the original, though the original was great too. They have different vibes and lessons. The original was more sinister and it was about Charlie learning that being honest and Loyal will reward him in the long run. This new one feels more like how a child imagines the inside of a chocolate factory is like, and its lesson is Willy Wonka learning that success can never fill the hole his missing family made. This one with Depp just feels more rewarding to me than the original one does.

I never saw Wonka giving Charlie the ladle of chocolate saying how he looks starved to death as a burn. I always saw it as him showing genuine care for someone who he saw probably comes from a poor household and wanted to give a kind gesture to someone who hasn't insulted him or given him a bad impression and saw potential in him. I'm probably looking too deep into this but that's just how I always looked at it.

THIS THE THE best interpretation of a book, in my opinion. Literally nothing is made up, unlike the golden geese in the older version. Everything is straight from the book. Even the Chocolate Palace! And I love how they really thought about how willy should look like. Like he is very pale, because he haven’t been in the sun for like 20 years, so it would make sense if he was pale. Or how he’s a little odd, a little awkward, because we haven’t been talking to any actual person in over 20 years it will make sense to have social problems, unlike the older Willy Wonka for some reason has a very normal skin color, and has great social skills.💁🏻‍♂️💁🏻‍♂️🧐 I also really like her in every song in this movie, or literally the words Word for Word from the book. “Augustus Gloop, The big and greedy nincompoop” literally words from the book. I also really like how everything in this movie is very odd, like pot polish very interesting to look at, nothing is realistic. That’s because when Tim burton made movie, he wanted to make it look like as if it was from the kids point of veiw. For example in the inventing room, realistically there would be no point of colors or gadgets, everything if wacky inventions, just like how a kid with a imagine what an inventing room like. Another thing he does, that I love, is that he really makes you hate these children to death, like the other contestants. Because in the other one, they’re not really mean, there more rascals. I’m also not a big fan of chocolate either, because it’s too sugary, I’m a more bigger fan of dark chocolate I hate white chocolate though. And one last thing, if anybody is reading this, the whole reason why Wonka has a very “😀😀” sort of face every time the kids get hurt, or in danger, is because he specifically made them go through all these rooms, to Test each and every one of them. Augustus Gloop four the chocolate room, Ruca salt for a room she can’t resist attempting to buy, Violet Beauregard the room which makes gone, and the TV room for my TV was addicted to television. You can literally tell from his face expressions that he was playing this to see if they would resist. Sory that I’m saying so much, I really like this movie and talking about it. 😂😂😂

I liken it to what Quasimodo was hoping the Festival of Fools would be. One day where he can just see what's out there, and then he'd spend the rest of his life content to carry those memories with him for the rest of his life, no complaints.

I saw some behind the scenes stuff of Deep Roy having to do every single movement. And when you think about how many of him there are in some scenes, it’s rather mind boggling how much work it took from him and the editors to make it look like all the Oompa Loompas were him.

Odds are that he has ptsd relating to his father, which is why he’s so reticent to think about them! One of my assignments for my psychopathology class was to diagnose a movie character, and if you ask me, he has PTSD, borderline personality disorder and Antisocial personality disorder (along with some potential anxiety disorders, and potentially ASD)

🤔 This is this first time I’ve considered that the children’s misfortunes might have been intentional- the songs with their names in it, most of the punishments fitting a certain child perfectly, & Mr. Wonka looking either unalarmed or even a little excited at what happens to them. It does seem Wonka was running some kind of sick experiment with the golden tickets...

As much as I love Johnny Depp, I still would‘ve loved to see Marilyn Manson as Willy Wonka. The dude was born to play this. Depp himself said he was inspired by Manson for his performance.

The boy actor playing Charlie, He's in one of my favorite movies of all time, and honestly, I feel is his best but that's my opinion. but he acted in a movie called Two Brothers it was about two tiger cubs and it's an amazing story. I do hope to see someone one day react to it so far, I haven't seen anyone react to it. But I do love the boy playing as Charlie,

All of the Oompa Loompa songs are, unlike having the same rhythm like in the Gene Wilder version, are all in different music genres: Augustus Gloop - Cuban mambo Violet Beauregarde - 70s soul funk Veruca Salt - 60s psychedelic Mike Teevae - 80s punk rock/heavy metal Veruca Salt is probably my favorite because I love psychedelic music! :)☺☺😊😊🤗🤗🎵🎶
