Really? It looks like he’s using his quads way more than his hamstrings, and, as a deadlift is a posterior chain exercise, that should not be the case. His back is too vertical/ chest is too up and sticking out but I guess I’m not an Olympic lifter. Maybe he’s just doing deadlift like that to practice for his main movement which i think is the snatch?

@@marledanimefan7186 mate if you think i'm wrong about this then you have no idea how to deadlift this would never be called a deadlift everything about the form is trash he jenks his shoulders ( shoulder injury warning if not the the steriods he abuses) he goes down to 90 degrees which would make it a sqaut and if he did it correctly he could easily do over 300kg
@marledanimefan7186
2 жыл бұрын
@@drama8335 i saw his deadlift again then thought of competition videos for strong man or powerlifting and i agree with you . I'm wrong here. None of them start the movement from that position. Still, his back is straight , there is just more leg drive . Who knows, people might start implementing it if they want more legs out of their deadlifts , without the jenk ofc. Besides the injury potential which i dont really think its that bad ,that jenk at the end , its to simulate the snatching part of an olimpic lift.

@@marledanimefan7186 i understand the reason for doing it this way but it stil can't be called a deadlift in my honest opinon at best it could be called a hybrid

this is amazing
Just pure power
Absolute godly physique
Never lose hope you never know what tomorrow may bring.
I just realized why I can’t get any hip drive out of my clean. When Lu is pulling the empty bar his chest is really far forward. I keep my chest back out of deadlift habit

i mean . think of the absurd amount of weight he can press over his head let alone deadlifting it.

Seeing someone else at their peak physique makes you want to achieve it yourself.
Hi, Luxiaojun, do you train daily? what is your daily workout routine?
That enchantment tho
7:05 Shi spotted 👀. Also it would be great if we could know how long is Lu resting between sets!
Considering I’ve seen lu squat 270kg without a hiccup I’m surprised he isn’t deadlifting 320kg+ especially with the power needed to snatch. The powerlifting game is such a specific kind of strength
@coffeecat4146
2 жыл бұрын
That's because powerlifting requires pure strength, while weightifting requires power(which needs speed). Lu can prob dl(conventional cuz weightlifters usually DL with a C&J form) a lot more but there is just no need for him to do it since it wont translate very well to weightlifting.
@halvieyra6141
2 жыл бұрын
it's true, there's a lot of difference between a conventional dl and clean style dl, e.g. straight upper back, lower hip position etc. Weightlifters are extremely quad dominant too which plays a role and is why they often don't pull more than they squat.
@Alejandro-tp8hd
2 жыл бұрын
It’s mostly because his leverages aren’t really built for deadlifting. He has perfect squat leverages but not so good deadlift leverages. Same happens with tian tao. He even said it himself
@suchen403
2 жыл бұрын
The thing is, after the DL, Lu has to think about how to get that shit over the head, so no need to overdo too much.
@lionheart93

His starting position for deadlift it's almost like half squat. For the first time I noticed it.

What are the tapes around the knee for? How does it help?

Yeah, they are a great replacement for shrugs that don't even really work for me. The snatch pull and RDLS with snatch grip give my traps an even bigger sensation. However, you might need straps in order to go heavy enough, because your grip will eventually give up before your traps.
