Furry pillows, cosy blankets, twinkling lights, candles, hot chocolate, soups with crusty bread rolls, cheese fondu, the chilly air kissing my cheeks when I walk the dog, the calmness and quietness which takes over my small village. ⛄🌨❄🐕

I’ve been alone for all 46 years of my life and I love it for all the reasons you’ve mentioned. I’ve lived overseas, traveled around the world, bought a 5th wheel and drove it from TX to PEI in Canada, picked up and moved…and the list continues. Sure there’s moments I think, might be nice to travel this road with someone but overall I love my lifestyle and my aloneness. Granted I am 95% introvert so the 5% extrovert doesn’t speak up often. 😂🤣. Y’all’s cabin looked so cozy and I love the sight of snow as the promise winter is coming!

I’m 43 and have been single for the past 10 years. Quite frankly I don’t think I can picture a life in a relationship with someone who doesn’t also value alone time and time apart as I too enjoy time to myself and value my independence and freedom. I completely understand that mentality! We’re just a certain loner breed of people and the people we choose to let in must be something special 😉

I was in several relationships when I was younger and they were nice but I've been single for over 20 years and I love it. The freedom is part of it because I can do what I want when I want. However, I think the alone time is more important to me. I enjoy spending time with other people but I also enjoy spending a lot of time alone. I wouldn't get enough alone time if I was in a relationship, so I'm happy not being in one.

Cecilia, I'm old enough to be your grandma, but can relate to everything you portray in this video. I look forward to each new video every Sunday. I'm half Norwegian, and just returned from a weekend meeting a first cousin for the first time. She's also Norwegian. Our connection was fantastic! I told her about your videos and the beauty of Norway and Svalbard. We are both from the US. We'd love to see that part of the world! I'm getting a little off track. I've been on my own with my son for the past 15 years, and by myself for the last 9 years, when he graduated from high school, and I love living alone! I value my alone time and never feel lonely. If I feel a twinge of loneliness, I can always call a friend, play games on the computer or listen to music. I completely understand about not having to worry about another person's needs. Don't ever feel guilty for that feeling. You are so lucky you've discovered the secret at a young age. I truly hope to be able to come to Svalbard one day with my newly discovered cousin and look you up. I love the life you're living! Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us!

It's never an insult to the people you love, but there are those of us that enjoy the moments alone. Enjoy the quiet and the independence and the freedom to do things at your own pace. To have meals at whatever time or portion that appeals to you, to sleep in however long on days off when you want to. I love the people in my life but I'm not afraid of being in my own company. It doesn't mean I don't want them around, I love their company and the lovely chaos it brings, it just means that I'm not scared of the quiet and I find it a wonderful time to recharge.

The independence is wonderful. You and I come from a time where we lived up to predefined roles as men and women. Subsequent generations do not live with those old expectations and I am so glad for them! I raised my daughters to fall in love, but to always be independent and a have the skills and temperament to be alone lest get caught up in a stereotypical life that they may not want. Relationships are partnerships, not co-dependencies. They way I see CC and Christoffer is as a partnership, but of course, I don’t dont know them personally, but that it how I imagine them to be. I was never able to find a partner that didn’t expect me to be the subservient one, which is not in my nature, and if I did, they were much younger than I, so love never worked out for me, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I prefer the Polar Nights. It looks and feels mentally calm. This is why my favourite seasons are Autumn and Winter. I have ADHD and my brain feels a lot less frazzled and chaotic in these seasons. I broke up with my last partner on 19 December 2006 and I've not been in another relationship. I'm an introvert any way and prefer my own company. The thought of being in another relationship just doesn't work well for me. I prefer the company of animals. They are cuter and love unconditionally and they only thing they want is food, water, treats, and a lot of cuddles. The fireplace scene at the end: if you had left it running for a few hours that would have been a great ASMR video. It looked lovely.

I always cringe when ppl suggest topics for youtubers - but here goes LOL. You've touched on your exercise routine a lot, but I'd love a deep dive. How do you know how to do the exercises? Decide which ones to do? In what order? Stay motivated? Etc?

I think we have the same favourite word...........cozy!! While it's still a little warm here in Ontario, Canada, I know that fall is on it's way. And, with that, comes the first fire of the season, as I heat my little cottage with a wood stove. Warm fire, candles lit, good book or something good on TV, and treats............just cannot be better than that!!!

I get the joy of being alone. I was single until I was almost 37 and was able to travel and move and has as many pets as I wanted and I loved it. I also loved finding my soul mate and he is a lot like me. We love to be together but also can be alone in different parts of our home without the need to talk much. I get how you feel! Always love your videos!

Love this video -- and I totally get what you're saying! My husband and I have been together for over 43 years, and as much as we love each other, I also cherish having quality "me time" and, over the years, have frequently taken solo vacations, even solo cruises. He is not as comfortable traveling solo so, other than work trips (some of them quite long), has never done it, but has no problem with me doing it. We both benefit from the "alone time".

Just found the channel! Love the video Cecilia. By the way, anyone notice how Cecilia just becomes this excited goofy relatable person as soon as she's alone and OUT AND ABOUT?! 😆 Don't worry! I blame it on the 3x coffees and the monster drink. Definitely way too much caffeine for a day, but that's not a lot for people like us who love it :)

Yay! Return of nighttime 😂 Absolutely doesn’t sound bad. Everyone needs some alone time. It’s very healthy to have time away from one’s partner. Also it’s really healthy not to feel you need someone to “complete” you. Yes it’s wonderful to have a partner but you shouldn’t feel you need someone to be happy. It’s wonderful to be comfortable with yourself to be ok being alone 😊 Besides you got a very happy smiling doggo with you 😆 I’m looking forward to polar night! Absolutely by far my favorite videos of yours are polar night 😁 So cozy! Love cold, snow and the darkness ❤

I've had free time to myself for the very first time in about 10 year's, my oldest started school right when my second was born and of course then I was home with him until he started school. I do enjoy the hour I set aside for myself after Ive accomplished all that needs doing in a house hold. I am learning the value of slowing down. Not every hour needs to be filled with stress, Even though that is how the world has made it. It's ok to not be busy and stressed. Life is not meant to work yourself tired and then die. Your videos are very calming.
