I've been a carpenter for 25+ years and I must say that for someone with no previous experience, you did a marvelous job especially considering you had no vehicle other than your bike and trailer. Bravo.

So true! But women are crafty, have great common sense, and wonderful planning capabilities. I, myself, learned on the fly with my home. Just wish the previous owners had done things properly; I spend the majority of my time undoing their "repairs," and then I can improve from there. It's very satisfying, seeing that you're capable of so much more than you thought!

BRA - VO young lady!!! I'm a seasoned builder of 40 years, have built three houses, and what you accomplished here is nothing short of heroic!!! What courage, resolve, inventiveness, grit, ingenuity, sensitivity, passion you have! You've managed to make me feel proud of you!!! ...and I want to come build a place of my own and be your neighbor...but I think I'd get me a truck 😃

The fact that she did this all on her own is truly inspiring, well done for doing such an ambitious task!!!
You’re proving your grit. Making improvements steadily even with obstacles that would stop many people. So impressed by you.
It’s so amazing to me that you took a cabin that really had massive issues and without any experience you’ve made a liveable space. Could I live without an indoor shower? No. Am an astounded you can? Yes! You’re an inspiration ❤

I think that impressed me the most - seeing Rosie walk to the outdoor screened area with a torch and all her breath billowing clouds into the dark, frigid air and stripping off for a shower.

My approach is to have the essentials for comfort ready, like a gas space heater, a gas water heater, a water tank & pump, some kind of simple shower module, toilet module and kitchen setup with a water filter, a tarp and barrel rain water catchment system, a solar system and a petrol generator, and a bunch of tools, like a chainsaw with a portable "Alaskan" lumber mill, to make my own planks. A modern settlers kit if you will. For a small cabin like this, it can be very compact and cheap.

This is what human beings used to do… FIGURE IT OUT and then they had new skills instead of hiring someone else…
I really cannot believe you had no woodworking experience. You are beyond amazing. One of my favourite things is how you cycled for 3 days to fetch stuff. It's sonrefeeshing to see someone without a car. We did something very similar, loving to the middle of nowhere. It's exciting, exhausting and just so creatively expansive. Yoh have done such an incredible job. Glad I found this channel.

WOW. I can honestly say this was the most exciting 24 minutes and 35 seconds I’ve enjoyed in a long time. This was an absolutely amazing, gripping, beautiful video. I am ridiculously impressed by your grit and determination, your mental strength and your ability to “learn as you go.” It really was a beautiful video diary. Thank you so very much for sharing. I agree with everything that was said here. Inspirational indeed.
I just didn’t realize the incredible amount of work you had accomplished. It’s different seeing a video from start to finish instead of a little here and a little there. This kind of accomplishment must be life changing. It’s truly lovely.
I cannot believe you have achieved so much especially in the first 12 months! Your parents should be so proud of their parenting skills to have raised a child who can believe in herself to take on, and attain, such a project! Cycling 35 km to fetch building supplies- what a woman!
Good Ole Mom and Dad!!!! God bless their hearts.
As commented by many others I'm flabbergasted by how much of a bold step it is to move to a different country and buying a renovation object to fulfill this dream of being close to nature and such serenity. As someone who has learned not only to live but thrive alone in my space this is hugely inspiring. Thank you

Dear Rosie, I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished! I have been following since the very beginning (watching you visit all the potential properties and waiting for updates about which one would finally be "the one") It has been so exciting and truly inspiring watching your skills and confidence grow, seeing you solve problems in such original or totally crazy or utterly sensible ways. I have been so pleased to see your channel grow and you deserve all the best! Congratulations!

This is incredible. As a builder I take my hat off to you. Valiant effort. 😍🔥
It’s been my dream for so long, to do up a cabin like yours, surrounded by beautiful nature (not sure I could handle the cold like you do). I found your video so incredibly inspiring! Thanks for sharing your story. You’ve made me feel like my dream is possible again 💖🙌💖
Being able to heat your house properly this winter will transform your life this winter. You’ve come such a long way Rosie! Very impressive!
I honestly feel overwhelmed and think I never ever could do something similar. The strength, determination, resilience, creativity, dedication, postitivity and skills it takes to take up and finish all those projects is mindblowing to me! You did not even mention that you were sewing nice clothing items as well... and cook really nice food. ❤
Wow! I have been entranced watching this with my morning tea and toast on a quiet sunny morning. I am so amazed by your determination and courage and strength to do this. And all alone??? Wow. I keep saying that… and wondering how many people want to come and help 😂😂. Maybe have one of those thanks $$ things on the channel so we can all give a little to your project and enjoy your journey and year three! I was so disappointed this video was over! Looking forward to the wood stove library and living room build. Kudos and thank you for sharing.

As someone who lives in Scandinavia, I strongly encourage you to do the move in the spring if you get that opportunity. When she said "August" in the beginning of the video I felt Fear. April-May is about the right time for anyone to move here so they can be settled in before winter hits. The weather can be really brutal from November through February.
I'm just some random middle-aged woman on the other side of the ocean from you, but I'm so proud of your progress and growth. You've become so much more confident and skilled since those early days, and your little corner of the world is progressing beautifully. I'm going to make a pot of chai tea and toast your successes. Can't wait to see what comes next!

You're blessed to still have your parents around. I have friends who rely on their parents at 40+ age and I know it's my personal experience. Lost my Mother at age 9, then my Father at 12. My maternal grandparents kept me for a year before their health was deteriorating. Then off to my paternal Grandmother who was the light of my life. She came from a farmer's hard-working background, sewed, made quilts, gardened, canned, and was frugal. It served me well. She saved all my Social Security checks and when I graduated high school 🏫 added my name to the account. I had 2 scholarships plus social security and went to college. First junior then State. I came so close to being part of a system, yet by all grace from our universe became not only independent but grateful. ❤
I have no idea why KZread recommended this video, but am really glad I watched it. I am in awe at your creativity and ability to transform an almost wreck into a liveable space, especially with no construction experience!
2 years ago i followed your story, and i am proud of you 🎉❤
2 years. Wow. Time flies when you are having fun renovating and growing veg, and trying out bikes and trying to hike occasionally
I would agree with others I really admire what you took on here and your parents. How brave you have been. How talented you are too. Just amazing.
Wow! Not only genius, but it gives new meaning to the idea of being driven!
OMG! I've followed you through all of this and am still amazed by all you have accomplished. I didn't remember how dilapidated all the structures were. I don't know how you didn't give up in utter frustration, but you didn't. You are amazing.
I have so enjoyed watching you transform your home..❤
I am so impressed with your patience and independence. The cabin looks amazing. You have a good eye for simplicity and beauty. I look forward to move videos. I hope you continue to show your progress to us.
I was so sad when the video ended because I desperately want to see more! Incredible work!😍 Can't wait for more!
I love all you do . I love you ride your bike to get supplies . I love how cheap you try to be . I love how beautiful you can make everything on a crap budget . I love your detail to planning . That detailed planning is a skill I wish I had .
It's amazing that you manage to do all this without any experience while still working as a designer and filming and editing. Great accomplishment, Rosie. You really should be proud of yourself. I love your videos very much. Thank you a hundred times))

I've built homes all my life (70+ years) and I must say you are Spectacular Carpenter! Your first attempts are very professional! You remind me of my daughter who bought a house in Chicago and promptly remodeled the whole inside and outside. Even removing a slab of 6" concrete that was 20'X30'. She never stops amazing me as I am sure you never stop amazing your parents. Keep up the GREAT work.
You are an amazing young lady and have inspired me to tackle tasks at my home, even at 74 years old! I wish you the best and can hardly wait to see more, Many Hugs, Krista
it's great what you do, wish you to ahieve all your projects there! And waitig for new videos!
What a great job you’ve done, you must be so happy with yourself 🦘
I love that you narrated this. I listen more than I watch. Great video. I'll be sure to watch at some point!
You almost brought tears to my eyes. Your determination and patience is unimaginable. God Bless your journey.
Rosie you're a very gifted designer, very creative and an extremely hard worker. Your parents should be very proud of you. I'm looking forward to see what you have planned next. Have a great day!
I love everything you do and I really admire your grit to do this all by yourself. The prospect of you having an oven this winter makes me so happy for you. On a little sidetone, I have been on Hemnet al lot recently, go figure ;-) Thank you for making my Sunday morning! Cheers, Sabine
that kitchen and the joinery are simply stunning, especially for someone without prior experience. Real craftsmanship and talent right there!
Well done, Rosie👍👍👍
After watching many of these videos , yesterday I started at Story one and will enjoy your adventures from the beginning. You made The Best cabin search videos. Showing the diff properties was exceptionally well done, Stories 1 & 2.
It’s crazy how much you have done. Mostly by yourself. You should be proud of yourself. I know I am. ❤️
In case no one has said it, GOOD JOB ON ALL YOUR HARD WORK! I praise you. I am also an introvert and it's so nice to see someone who isn't shy about it, lol. All introverts unite! (but not actually together, if you know what I mean)
Wow! 24 months in 24 minutes. What have you done? A miracle 😂 not only for the cabin, but for your life. ❤ Keep enjoy every moment.
Thanks for making this recap. How time flies and seeing how much work you already have put into the house. Amazing, and in years to come this dokument of labour will make you proud, eventhough its been a very hard journey, mentally and physically. Well done you.
Hi Rosie, so nice to look back on the last 2 years and see the wonderful progress you have made on your beautiful cottage. You have accomplished so much, and the results are fabulous. Well done , young lady keep up the good work and keep sending out these great videos. ❤
Wow. You are a Lumberjack Superwoman. Your little cottage has come so far. Even if you could only afford cheap wood, it looks so cosy and wonderful. You are an inspiration. Looking forward to following your journey.👏👏👏
Wow, what an impressive, tough, talented woman!
Rosie: You have taken on a huge project and are creating an exquisitely crafted home for yourself. What an amazing accomplishment it is. Your design and craftsmanship is so beautiful, as is your filming. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Wauw!! Echt zo indrukwekkend wat jij allemaal voor elkaar krijgt! Het geduld, doorzettingsvermogen en jouw skills zijn ongelofelijk. Dank je voor het maken van de video’s en het delen van jouw reis
You and parents are absolutely amazing!! Precious and few
To start and go on with such a project mostly on your own is such a huge thing to do! Congratulations on going on and believing in yourself and find solutions for every "problem". You can be very proud!
Well done Rosie, hope the video also made you realise how far you have come, I have seen so many give up, because living in the building mess is really hard, keep your chin up and carry on, whenever you get to the outside it will be easy!
Hello ❤ That's an epic work ! I'm so admirative, keep going on ! Have a lovely day and thank you for sharing with us ❤
The kitchen shelves build out is fabulous, thanks. Notching and free pinning for the cross members isn't something I'd ever even thought of but when you see it it's so obvious. Such an elegant way to complete shelves.
So impressed by your work and persistence! Beautiful! Welcome to Sweden! :)
I love watching you progress through this journey. I anticipate each new video and am inspired by your creativity, patience, perseverance and talent. I had a small home built 3.5 years ago but had to some things to improve the lack of storage. I built out the closet in my bedroom with shelving, LOTS of shelving, transformed the small laundry room closet, and have been working on the landscaping around the house to prevent erosion. It has been a lot of work but watching you inspires me to keep going. I'm doing this alone and sometimes it is overwhelming but then I watch your video and I know I can do this. I planted my first garden and used your video to learn how to do it. I grew my own vegetables for the first time!!! It was so exciting and I must say everything I've accomplished is because I gained confidence from watching you! Thank you for your inspiration. Thank you for filming your journey and sharing.
So much respect for you, amazing 🙌
I give you a lot of credit for being brave and talented
this is like watching the evolution of a stardew farm irl ... so satisfying and impressive!!!
Doing a great job remodeling everything you are really crafty and know how to use power tools
I've watched every episode and find that you are a very courageous person. Thanks for sharing this with us.
This was so satisfying to watch! Reminds me of how a lot of my family built and are continuing to maintain their properties. The beauty in the simplicity of life! Thank you for sharing!
Looks amazing, well done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I been rewatching all of your videos in order, so this is a really nice summation. Love your videos, they really calm me down - thank you for all the effort you put into making them, on top of your freelance work and renovations.

I've been doing the same.. although I've been watching Rosie's progress from the beginning! I was astounded by the transformation.. step-by-step. And how beautifully creative Rosie is. She's creating a lovely cozy home...and inspiring others to embrace challenges. So grateful for her.
Well done you! You should be so proud of what you have achieved. Wishing you a comfortable, cosy and warm winter ahead. 🌻
You didn't fail you gained new skills
That was incredibly inspiring and heartwarming. I'm so happy for you that you decided to buy that house and are slowly working away at turning it into a functional and beautiful home, not to mention learning all these new skills which must be so satisfying. I feel like this whole endeavour you've embarked on has a really deep sense of meaning and a richness of experience to it, and that you really are Living out there. Super proud of you!
I have watched you from the start Rosie you should be so proud of yourself! Such a beautiful little croft you are creating.
Unbelievable 😊how strong you are! Your simplicity is the power of your creativity. I love all the outcomes, colours, materials and how green you are! Your dedication and persistence in achieving your goal is admirable! Need to learn from you a lot, that is why I keep on watching ;)
Just discovered your channel, it's a gem! Let me tell you, it's very courageous to take on such a project! Beautiful!
Amazing how the human being can be so Brave, congratulations 💪💪💪
It's amazing what you've done by yourself with no prior experience! Loved watching your progress from buying to present. Can't wait to see what year three brings. I'm sure it will be beautiful.
It's amazing to see how much you have accomplished when it's all put together like this, I hope you feel rightly proud of yourself :)
Wow. Just wow. I’m left speechless. This is ASTONISHING.
I’ve been tuning into your adventures ever since you took out your first wall and it’s been so inspiring! It’s motivated me to start doing my own renovations and believe that even without experience, I can try to make a small difference. Thanks Rosie!
Hi Rosie. Huge respect for what you have achieved over the last two years. Thank you for sharing the journey with us - I never miss an episode. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
Its takes courage and commitment to build things from scratch. And 2 whole years! You are commendable! You have created such a Warm space for yourself. I just love everything in the video!
This is absolutely breath-taking! Both your cute home, but also your whole story building it. Can't wait to see more of it!!
You have so much accomplished, wow! Big, big congratulations for your hard work, your imagination, your determination, your will to keep going. I am looking forward to every of your videos. Not only are they very interesting, but also for me as a very impatient person, they remind me that sometimes patience is the key and well worth it. Thanks a lot for taking us with you on your journey!
Great work...keep the progress coming! 👍
This is so cool! As a swede who's only ever lived in a town centre I'm super impressed with your courage and how much you've done to your home these past years! The winters here can be anything but easy and the rainy summer we had couldn't have been much fun either. Best of luck to you and I look forward to see what's next!
I've never done anything DIY in my life, but it seems to me like there is an invisible line between trying to survive / buildings the foundation and building new and beautiful things for the future. At some point, you've suddenly left the pure survival lifestyle behind and may not even notice how you're suddenly building towards something greater. Love the video!
Inspiring and admirable, but what I would love to see for you next is a vehicle. This will make your life much easier when going to and from town.
This has to be the most impressive, incredible and indescribable solo build I have ever viewed, This woman is beyond amazing, I could watch these videos forever,
wow this is insanely impressive. as someone who helped build a 1 room 1 bathroom house i can understand all the small details that one takes for granted that makes it all take 3 times as long. And to do it all alone out in the woods like that and even biking to byggmax with a small little bike wagon like that.. As someone who also wants to live in a nice little house in the woods this gives me back some hope that i had long lost.
Good job fixing that wobbly kitchen counter and building the outdoor work bench. Sometimes the small things make a big difference.
Given your stated experience, this is easily the most impressive thing I’ve seen on KZread. Absolutely amazing 🤯
I’ve loved watching your progress over the past two years. You are brave and strong Rosie. Thankyou for these little pockets of calm and honesty in the week
I’ve been watching you from day one. I think you are so inspiring to everyone. I’m now in my 70’s now but love interior design. Did a lot of buying and selling in the 1970/80s in UK. I just wish I had the energy you have now. When you get to your 70 the mind is willing but not the body so much sadly. Make the most of it. I think you have a soft spot for ‘Chimney man?’
I can't believe how strong you are to build this all! This is amazing!!!
You have done such an amazing transformation! Your channel is my most favourite. Looking forward to your first fire too.
