"Etude Op.10, No.12" ( or "Revolutionary Etude") by the Great Polish composer Frederic Chopin, which was written in 1831 and is dedicated to the Polish patriots who raised an uprising (1830-1831) against the Russian Empire, whose troops occupied Poland. "Swan Song" ( lyrics - Asami / music - Miyako) from LOVEBITES third studio Album "Electric Pentagram" (2020). For many centuries (starting from Ancient Greece) there is a legend, according to which swans, non-singing, "silent" birds, acquire a voice a few moments before death, and this dying singing of swans is amazingly beautiful. "Etude" by F. Chopin and "Swan Song" are dedicated to the warriors who died in battle. Therefore, at the concert, "Etude" and "Swan Song" are played together. In an interview given after the release of the "Electric Pentagram" album, Asami (a former ballerina, studied classical ballet for about 16 years before becoming a singer) said that when she wrote the lyrics of the song, she was thinking about the famous ballet P.I. Tchaikovsky "Swan Lake" . During the performance of the song, Asami imitates the Swan (hand movements). And in the final part (piano Miyako), symbolizing the death of the Swan, Asami depicts the dying Swan on stage. Because the camera at the end of the song is focused on Miyako playing the piano, Asami's "death of the Swan" was not captured on video. Asami added some Scandinavian mythology (Valhalla) to the lyrics.. The attitudes towards death among the Japanese Samurai and the Scandinavian Vikings were very similar. For Samurai and Vikings, death in battle with weapons in their hands is a death worthy of a male warrior. Death in battle is better than death from old age in your bed. All Vikings dreamed of dying in battle because then they could go to Heaven, to Valhalla (the Hall of those killed in battle) where they would meet God Odin and other Vikings who died in battles.

The huge bit of art mega masterpiece of Ladies. All is perfect here. We are in the heaven. They had a tour with Dragonforce in UK in 2019 fall. The best known funny common performance of Midori, Miyako, Herman and Sam is Farming Simulator London 2019.

Since you're pretty much starting new with this band, Asami is the lead singer, Miyako on the piano and guitar, Midori on guitar, Miho on bass here, and Haruna on drums. Miho left the band in 2021. Fami was announced as the new bassist a recently, try Judgement Day to see her. The band is named after the Grammy winning Halestorm song, Love Bites (So DO I). Asami has joined Halestorm onstage performing that song.

Finally you got to it, but where your drummer???? Music by Miyako, piano, guitar; Lyrics by Asami, vocals. Miyako also does her arrangements. FYI, Miyako does not like the that Roland, it's electronic and has plastic keys. She has a Yamaha Grand at home in her studio. The ladies have already performed with Dragon Force while on tour with them. There are even videos on YT. They now have a new bassist, Fami, that you can preview by checking out her MV "Alien Alien". It was worth watching just to see approx. 8 minutes of astonishment on the face of the dude in the back. I probably look like that every time I watch a Lovebites video, and I watch them every day. I recommend "Break the Wall" and "The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath" for further astonishment.

Great reaction. I don’t know names, but guy in the middle, at the back, your face was an absolute picture throughout the whole performance. Miyako is a prodigy, who someone described as a “dangerous” musician because her understanding of music is extremely finely tuned. On the 22nd the new Lovebites album “Judgement Day” will become a milestone in metal history. Think Sgt Pepper. There is nobody even close to them, and next Wednesday they’ll have disappeared over the horizon.

Some people say they're angels who came to planet Earth in order to save metal. As proficient musicians, they are so versatile and have no limits. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Their style is so unique. With the new bassist, Fami, now they're ready to take the world by storm. Being speechless after listening to Lovebites is the new normal. By the way, they toured the UK in 2019, opening for Dragonforce and they are good friends. Besides this, Lovebitz has a wonderful song with piano and ballet called "A furozen serenade". It also covers Judas Priest and Halloween songs. Love Bites play such beautiful songs, but their latest song "Dissonance" is so brutal that it's hard to believe they're from the same band. You mentioned Lovebites and Dragon Force touring together. They already have. Lovebites opened for Dragon Force on their UK tour in 2019. There are a couple of videos where Dragon Force had the ladies of Lovebites join them on stage and Herman Li was introduced as the 6th member of Lovebites and he came out wearing a white dress. The word "masterpiece" is thrown around too casually, but in this case, it is completely appropriate. Chopin (for your viewers who are not familiar) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). For this performance, she actually played the Etude as a prelude, but it’s not normally included in their shows. Congratulations on checking this out. And by the way, Lovebites did tour with Dragonforce back before the pandemic.

Greatest metal band on the planet right now, in my opinion. So amazing. I very highly suggest Thunder Vengeance (live from Zepp), Break the Wall (live from Zepp) and Set the World on Fire (live from 2021). If you want something more like this one, with the piano, try Frozen Serenade. If you want a pretty amazing 80s sort of rock style, try Empty Daydream. Great vocal harmonies there. I love this band.

Miyako, is one of the best musicians out there. Everyone in Lovebites is an incredibly good musician. They are so talented.

When I was in school. The Teacher had a paddle on the wall. Printed on it was. People are like canoes. Paddle by the rear, they steer better. She knew how to use it and used it often. It had holes drilled in that made it hurt worse left welts on your butt. I’ll never forget her. She was one of my best teachers and one of the strictest. No one got away with anything in her classroom. If you didn’t do your homework. You got to paddle. She didn’t fool around. Didn’t take any excuses. It was yes ma’am. No ma’am. Everyone sat up straight. And you better have been in the hospital if you didn’t show up for school.

Absolutely talented artists who have been hardened by thousands of hours of practice - what a band - absolutely fantastic!

The Chopin piece performed by Miyako (guitar/keyboard) as the intro is "Etude OP10, No12", known as "Revolution Etude" In 1831, an uprising of some officers and civilians against the Polish government under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, dubbed the "November Revolution", failed due to the direct intervention of Russian forces. Chopin is informed of this news during his travels. he lost his place to return to.　When the Russian army invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agents released "Etude OP10, No.12" in Paris. People called it a "revolutionary etude" because of the agent's exaggerated promotion of the song. Miyako composed "SwanSong" with reference to this "revolutionary etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony". Former ballerina Asami (vocals) wrote a poem inspired by Norse mythology and "Swan Lake" based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude". "SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim fatherland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES can complete.

Im sure a few people have already said Miyako has been playing piano since around 4 years old, but she didn't start playing guitar until she was almost 19. She never took proper lessons and learned how to play from an instructional book. She's also a big fan of Dimebag Daryl (RIP), which I think might be why she plays Dean. Whats kind of funny is she looks so serious in these videos but she has a very bubbly, humble and outgoing personality, which comes out on her personal YT channel. The musicianship of this whole band is incredible. For your next song, I would suggest "Scream For Me", the version from the 'Live From Abyss' DVD, which was a live rehearsal session broadcast during COVID. The production is great, and the song ends with a minute and half of Midori and Miyako trading killer guitar solos. The entire DVD is incredible, but whatever you decide next, you can't go wrong. These ladies have a catalog that's definitely worth going through.

Great reactions...thank you, and you did not interupt the song once, like too many do. But this band are beyond mere words and this song is an absolute masterpiece of writing and playing, and I think it was written by Miyako. Her piano playing is just incredible, and her finger tapping guitar solo, well, no other words needed. And when the others join in just listen to Haruna's drumming, her double kicking is stupendous, and she only has 2 feet. But the other members, Midori on lead guitar, Asami's vocals and Miho bring everything together to make a glorious unmatched song.

Now do Lovebites - Dissonance. Super heavy and thrashy.

It is said that "Rock was invented in America, raised in England, and perfected in Japan." Rock is dead! It is said that rock is alive in Japan.There are many great rock bands in Japan.

They supported Dragonforce on their tour a few years back. Sadly, I missed it. I consider myself to be very lucky living in London as I was able to see my favourite 'Nightwish' at Wembley in November - I've just bought tickets for Sabaton/Babymetal in April at Wembley again. I'm seeing 'Beast in Black' next Monday (who supported Nightwish - Yannis the lead singer has done wonderful Nightwish covers of GLS and Sahara, definitely worth checking out!) I'm not sure if you take recommendations here , but I'd like to point you in the direction of a Symphonic Metal band from Germany called 'Beyond the Black' , Jennifer Haben, the lead singer has had the seal of approval from none other than Floor so I would hope you give them some love. I recommend a song called 'Hallelujah' - the best audio quality is at a live festival in Japan. 'Winter is coming' is a great video. 'Songs of Love and Death' , 'A million light years', 'Is there anybody out there' and 'In the shadows' are some of the highlights! Well, as always, take good care of yourselves 😃

Tina S. is a great guitarist but she needs a lot more experience not only playing in a band but also playing a lot of gigs. There's a big difference playing along with a recording to playing a gig with a band.

This kind of Metal isnt everyones favorite but you gotta hand it to Lovebites. They do what they do and have No Real Peers that I am aware of. Power/Speed/Thrash/Symphonic/etc...Combined Yikes!
