Gran Toya she wasn’t her grandmother. She found him babe in forest while she was trying to escape. Haven’t no milk she decided to return to the kidnappers. Long story short without her there is no Desaline. We need a movie on that woman from warrior of Dahome to Haiti revolution

😂 please stop with the lies & the “without” BS. War would’ve kicked off no matter what, Haitians a very passionate & stubborn people. Dessaline my blood ancestor was a born in Ayiti on a plantation, he was freed at 30 & thats when he met Toya. Stop believing all this Hollywood lies.

War would’ve kicked off regardless.. stop with all this “without” BS. Both Haitian Men & Woman are very passionate & stubborn people. The treacherous things that took place while enslaved it was ONLY a matter of time. They already carried that reputation as people.
