LORIER Gemini LE: are microbrands worth your money?

Microbrands seem like the best of both worlds right? Innovative designs, modern materials, an eye for vintage cues all for a reasonable price. What's the catch? Today we explore this topic while looking at the Lorier Gemini Limited Edition.

Hi, Max. I just discovered your channel here and very much enjoy it. You have a new subscriber. I’m an unrepentant microbrand watch fan. It’s true that there are plenty of mediocre, unmemorable brands. But when you find a worthy one or ones, they are awesome. I have a HELM, Nodus, and Exciton, and they are currently the only ones that I wear. Thanks for your vids. I’m going to pace myself and not get through them too quickly. 👍

Great one again Max, that place looks amazing. I quite like the look of the Loriers I've seen over the years but never been tempted until I saw yours, that really is a gorgeous watch. My watch needs a service that could take 8 weeks and being as it's my only watch I will need a replacement so I'm checking a few watches out and this is now on the list.

Have to admit I'm not the world's biggest chronograph fan. But this Gemini looks amazing. Love the colours and on the leather strap it's fantastic. Great informative video. PS again looks like an amazing trip you had. That state really does deserve it's nickname, big sky country

A dedicated seconds dial with only 5 sec gap indices has to be the most stupid application ever in a watch that already has a seconds hand with indices in the big dial.

I’ve always been a big fan of the seagull chronograph movement because it gives micro brands the ability to make quality affordable mechanical chronographs. Thanks again for the history lesson the Gemini program seems really interesting and i plan on reading more on it online

@@WatchCrunchOfficial Agreed, except for the Bulova Lunar Pilot. It has provenance and history. Its Precisionist 262 kz triple tuning fork movement is incredible...a wonder of technology. Its smooth sweeping chrono hand is as perfect as any automatic/manual watch, except for the Grand Seiko Spring Drive or Bulova's own Lobster.

I've heard that these Seagull chronograph movements are fairly fragile - is this true? Something about pushing the reset pusher while the chronograph is running.

HAUTE ONES Traska is my favourite. I haven’t been able to grab one yet but watched few reviews online. Definitely on my radar of their next release. The owner is pleasant to chat with. As you may know the watch offers hardness coating, cool design, offers Seiko and Miyota movement, sapphire crystal, and great building quality overall.
