Joe Ryan was cleared of any wrong doing after an exhausting investigation. It is on the court records in case Summer wants to read it. Lori did herself no favors by speaking at sentencing. It was odd that she never once mentioned Alex, her so called protector. Charles never came to visit, wonder why🤔 her dreams of grandiosity makes her super dangerous, she sees herself above any laws & any judgement. Calling Tammy her eternal friend was insulting & outrageous, stating her kids have clear her of any wrong doing was appalling. When, I ask, have we seen Lori worried for her kids? NEVER!! She was dancing on a beach while her kids lay in the cold ground buried like animals. No punishment is enough for this woman, I wonder how well received her BS will be at her new forever residence...

It's sad to see that Lori's family's eyes are still blind to the monster she has been her whole life! She is a narcissist! She was NEVER a good mother! Her children were props to get attention and praise for herself! She probably caused Tylee's illnesses! She probably convinced the kids that they were molested! The more her kids went through, the more attention and praise she got for "being a great mother!" I'd be surprised if she didn't cause Joe Ryan's heart attack. I have watched many videos on cults, particularly religious cults, and have learned a lot. Don't people have enough in their lives, without living every waking minute for a cult? The Cox family is like a cult, any deviation from the family narrative gets one ostracized. Summer, even though she knows her narrative won't be popular with the public, insists on inflicting it on the public, in a last ditch effort. Someone should have advised her not to go there...

My heart breaks for Joe Ryan. This is hard for me to say, but truly is what's in my heart. I'm a childhood SA survivor. I have read all the available child custody documents pertaining to Colby and Tylee. The likelihood of Lori manipulating her children (and proven by the courts to be the case) to believe the most atrocious things about JR seem more likely than not. This woman didn't just become unhinged in 2019...her delusions simply became untenable when she murdered her children for financial and religious gain. I'm sorry for Colby. I truly am. He has unquestionably had a traumatic childhood and life. I just don't trust he wasn't coerced at a young age to believe certain things. I've never doubted an SA survivor, and by all accounts, Joe Ryan was not the best parent...but the level of deception and manipulation Lori reigned on her nearest and dearest - it has to be logically called into question. I'm not disbelieving what Colby believes because that is valid. I still just feel bad for the soul of Joe Ryan who cannot defend himself to these heinous accusations.

I deal daily with someone who has suffered from delusions due to severe mental illness, and I do not see the same behaviors exhibited by Lori. Their psychosis impacts almost every aspect of life and makes functioning very difficult. Lori may have religious delusions, coupled with personality issues, but it does not appear to be the same as those associated with a schizophrenia or schizoaffective diagnosis.

The fact that this tribute by Aunt Summer included pictures was really helpful in understanding the loss of the children in her life. I hope that time will help heal her loss. It took me over three years to even look at this case! I also had a two-year-old granddaughter that was murdered! I do not believe that Lori is delusional, I believe she is a narcissist and a murderer! I do believe that she went down the rabbit hole of religion and has tried to use it in her advantage to murder for money lust and control! I am so sorry for your loss! My granddaughter has been gone for five years! She was two at the time, she lived with her dad and his girlfriend! It was proven the girlfriend caused the death of my granddaughter and only served 3 1/2 years in prison! She was given the offer to plea! Without being graphic she beat my baby girl to death! She is now out living her life very grandiose without a care in the world! Unfortunately we never got justice! But I’m so glad that this woman will spend the rest of her life in prison! May God watch over all the children!

The statements Lori made about the happiness of the 3 victims in the hereafter is the rationalization she has for the actions she took. It's not a delusion. All criminals have a rationalization. Lori wanted (lusted for) power, money, attention, and a particular man. She arranged her life to acheive what she wanted.

I hate that through all the heartbreak of the loss of Tylee and JJ there is still an element of protection by this woman of Lori. Lori was deemed competent to stand trial yet, she keeps referring to her delusional disorder and mental illness. As far as I’m aware Lori is a monster has always been a monster, plotting and colluding with Alex to do evil cruel things well before chad came along. Stop looking to blame someone else for who she is and acknowledge that perhaps, it’s her family that have a delusional disorder!.Multiple people are dead, two of them Lori’s own kids and the only common denominators are, Lori and her strangely devoted brother Alex. Chad may be a pos but don’t act like she wasn’t evil before he came along. Lori seems to always eliminate the obstacles in her life Alex, just did the dirty work for her but even he, ran out of use for her.

I was disgusted with Lori’s statement. I had pancreatitis twice. It is painful. I almost died twice. But it healed and I am fine now. My lipase level was 5000 the first time and the second time it was 10,000. According to my doctor, 125 is average. He said I should’ve died both times that it was a miracle I didn’t. And the reason I’m telling you this in case somebody says well you didn’t have it as bad as that little precious child but I had it really really bad. She would have healed. She would have had a wonderful life, and as long as she watched the saturated fats, she wouldn’t have an issue with the pancreas. I am really sad that she acted like she did a favor for Tylee. She got what she deserved. As for resting in the arms of Jesus, when she dies, she needs to accept responsibility and ask God’s forgiveness. But as long as she won’t accept responsibility, she can’t ask God for forgiveness for something that she doesn’t think she did wrong. I pity her. Thank you for all your hard work Nate. We appreciate your shows.

Pancreatitis sounds horrific. It turns out it can and has been induced in children by their own mothers who, clinically speaking, have what is called Munchausen By Proxy which has been recently renamed as Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another. It is entirely within the realm of possibility that Lori had a hand in Tylee's physical suffering early on in life. That is exactly the behavior of someone who sees their child as an extension of themselves rather than the child being a fully separate entity. These are the kinds of parents that can justify horrific behavior including causing health issues to then look like a heroic parent for helping to "solve" the apparent health problem. Much like the credit Summer gives to Lori. As though without Lori, Tylee would have most certainly died. Fits pretty well with Lori's own take that she saved Tylee from future suffering by taking her life at 16. These are the parents that believe they have the right to take their child's life, and that the right is fundamentally theirs. Sickening.

I've had multiple surgeries growing up and went through pain galore but that doesn't mean that I didn't have a happy life or I wanted to die. Medical illnesses and problems does not justify murder and I bet Tylee would have wanted to live her life and not be taken away from this earth in a such brutal and vicious way by the people who should have been looking out for her. She probably went through worse things in her final moments than she did in her prior lifetime. Lori just wants to justify her twisted crimes and she should be ashamed for saying this.

Who knows what caused her to be sick and if Lori was causing it but I do believe that a LOT of things contributed to it. Poor girl is in a better place than she was with most of the people in her young life. She didn't deserve to do the way she did though 😥

Lori's statement was like she was making a podcast for her followers not a statement for sentencing.

Only thing is this is the first mention he has had of Tylee and a single person to represent her. He spoke of JJ and Tammy the majority of his coverage. That has always been a thorn in my side. Glad she finally gets to be seen as a human being and a beautiful soul.

This interview sadly confirms my suspicion that not only was Tylee killed for money but also because she outshone her beauty pageant Mom. A lot of narcissistic Moms are loving towards their daughters as they are trying to mold them into little mini-me’s. Something that is easy to do when they’re young. But when puberty hits and they become independent they start to disagree and that is a very serious offense to a malignant narcissist mother.

I don’t get how some of you are so quick to talk badly about some of these people. Clearly, Lori has had issues for a while. None of us will ever know for sure if Joseph Ryan abused the kids. It happens. But Lori could have lied about it and manipulated the kids into making things up. I know everything about this case, including the opinions of the court therapists. She definitely has it in her. Summer still believing those accusations is normal. Most of us would hope that allegations would be taken seriously, so it’s not abnormal that Summer would still have those feelings. The lady has been through a lot. Her sister killed her kids and made the entire family famous for the worst reasons. She’s traumatized and still loves the sister she grew up with. Leave her alone. There are so many people out there that deserve this negative attention. Find them.

Very disturbing that Lori sister is buying into and accusing Joe Ryan of sexual wrongdoing when it comes to those kids there was no proof of that and it just plays to the whole scenario that that whole Cox family is not right

@@koitsenka Unfortunately I was in a situation where my recently deceased wife was thought to be possessed. You wouldn't believe what I went through. The Mental Health System came up with bipolar & schizoaffective disorders, 8 months later they added Alz Dementia at age 65. I took care of her 24/7 for her last 7 years with a month & 1/2 break when she was in a long term nursing home. I being a Christian prayed for her to be delivered from any evil spirit activity & still am not sure exactly what was going on with her. She passed on 2/1/23.

Delusional disorder? Again, playing the victim. Or making her out to be a victim still! Stop!!! Or choosing pride, wickedness, evil, sin, and the adversary to deceive.

The tribute was lovely. Aside from that nothing Summer has to say holds any value. They're still catering to & covering for Lori.

Chad can’t totally be blamed for Lori’s behavior! After all, it wasn’t Chad’s children who were eliminated to get what they both wanted, just his wife. Lori allowed her own children to become the “dark ones,” AND her husbands to be destroyed.

Very touching! But, as her sister, she is helping her in her 'mental illness' appeal. Her attorney said that they will use that to appeal! I hope the persecutor and the judge did enough to block any possibility of her getting away with her wicked deeds once again!

She doesn’t say that her sister is evil and is responsible for the murders. She just says that she is mentally ill. This downplays these atrocities.

Summer, the phone call you made to Lori while she was in jail broke my heart. If there were any times in your conversations with her, that one should have hit the heart. You tried, we heard this. Bless your heart, as you unpack what this whole situation has brought upon you. It's not your job to help others at this time in your family. They must go through the same process. I agree, thanks for sharing thoughts on beautiful Tylee, I always felt like no spoke out for her. When I watched Tylees interview with the police, my heart broke for her. I saw how hard it was and how she was torn apart protecting her mother. She was an innocent child and her mothers choices are heartbreaking.

Joe Ryan was a victim of Lori’s Lies about abuse! And his death was due to Alex’s assault!!

From what has been reported there seems to have been much dysfunction in Lori's family...Summer seems somewhat oblivious ( or in denial) that Lori was obviously mentally ill, narcissistic, and a manipulator all along. Summer is still in denial about Joe Ryan...Lori purposefully made his life a living hell, even mental healthcare professionals saw through Lori's lies about Joe Ryan. This doesn't sit good with me. I guess Summer and her mother have painted their own picture, leaving out important facts, touching up where need be, glossing over...this must be the only way they can handle it. Its still dysfuntional.

Adam ghosted Charles after he flew to Phoenix to help with Lori. Adam says in interviews he tried to help Charles but the FOIA documents show that Adam went out to Tucson to visit a friend instead of helping Charles. Hopefully they’ll show all of that in Lori’s trial in AZ. Adam loves publicity (like the rest of the Cox family) and is twisting the truth. He bailed on Charles and didn’t contact to police, his wife had to email the Chandler police. Adam is not telling the truth but it’s in the police reports. Watch the videos of the police talking to him and not just Adam’s interviews.

I'm very sorry for Summer - after all, not one, but two of her siblings were involved in all these murders. Alex is now dead, and can't be charged, convicted or acquitted, but there was plenty of evidence at Lori's trial to show that he was around at crucial times. Is the family at all angry that their son/brother was drawn into Ms Daybell's web? He did, after all, pull the trigger on Charles.

What a beautiful tribute, Summer. The world’s hearts break with yours for the two precious children that were taken too soon. ❤

Tylee's murder wasn't a suprise to them. Charles Vallow had already warned them that Tylee would be the next victim. He literary begged them to protect her. They didn't do anything about it apart from going national TV, defending Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow up until the kids bodies were found. Summer was joking to Lori about killing Charles herself. She seemingly had no problem with the idea of depriving the children of their provider and protector which would ultimately leave them exposed to murder by her own sister who she both supported and encouraged. Lori is delusional and still thinks she's the queen and Chad's the king of the 144k.

The way Summer speaks of Lori shows her cognitive dissonance. She still wants to believe that Lori isn't WHO AND WHAT SHE IS! @Nate, if you get an interview with Lori's mom, can you PLEASE ask her why she said she spoke to JJ when we now know, he had been murdered? I'm done with sparing these people's feelings! Charles, JJ, Tylee and Tammy wouldn't be gone if SOMEBODY wouldve had Charles' back and corroborated what he was telling police. And whatever happened to the women Lori told that she paid Alex to kill Joe?? Its so frustrating how so much of this was preventable, if not for people ignoring the lunacy!🤬

It's understandable the family needs to believe Lori is mentally ill. It's probably the only way they can make sense of this tragedy. How I see it, though, is Lori is not mentally ill. She's willfully choosing her "delusions". She's lost in her fantasy world, but that doesn't make her mentally ill. It makes her a spoiled rotten adult who believes the world is her oyster and all will bow to her. A lot of her delusions more than likely came from Chad. For some reason, and it's not often explainable, Chad and Lori connected in a way most people will never experience. Unfortunately, it was a connection that lead to the complete and total devastation of those around them. They could have had the life they wanted if they had each divorced their spouses and sent the children to live with relatives; however, that scenario didn't feed into the "chosen one" delusion. Lori knows better...deep down inside...she knows better. Right now she is still playing the chosen one game. After Chad's trial, it probably won't take long before the cracks in her fantasy world begin to show.

Her whole family enabled her and still is. Her brother told a detective how she and Alex were planning to murder Joe Ryan and dispose of his body. None of the Coxes were alarmed? And then Alex assaulted him. None of them found it concerning? She's only admitting to 'delusions' because it fits her story.

Also Chad is a broke loser who was financially supported by his wife. And Lori is used to the finer things in life. Had they each divorced they would have been living off welfare or a hairdresser’s salary; it would’ve been hard to keep up their “divine” fantasy.

I know it is so easy to look back and say “Coulda, woulda shoulda…” however, it’s hard to get past the fact had the family reached out to Charles and listened to him so much may have been avoided.

Please share this memorial of Tylee over and over and over! This angel baby EARNED these words and SO MANY MORE. Tylee, you will never be forgotten. You were so strong. I am so sorry that you were so confused in your final days. I am so sorry that you were let down by your favorite person. I thought the abuse of Tylee was made up by Lori and the father was later found innocent of those accusations.

Tylee's life was not "cute" at any time! The children's "cuteness" had worn off for Lori at an early age. Lori loved to play the "Jesus card" to escape responsibility. She loved to have younger relatives, and Kylee around, for babysitting services. I was taught that one doesn't foist childcare services on the older children. There are limits! It sounds like Lori needed Kylee at her disposal for JJ, therefore, Kylee didn't get to have much of a life. Yes, Kylee could have had a wonderful life, JJ too, with Charles, if Lori wasn't who she really was. This is the never ending story!

She is a narcissist not delusional.

She’s definitely a narcissist. Most narcissists don’t kill their kids though. They aren’t good parents in many ways; but not usually murderers. I do believe that the delusional and histrionic disorders also contributed.

Summer and her mom are still trying to protect their sister. I get it, they love her. But in protecting her and standing by her they have enabled her poor behavior throughout the years. They have “sided” with her and believed in her above common sense. This interview is just a continuation of that. If Lori is delusional how is it that money so perfectly worked out so her and her husband had funds? If this was just her being delusional how was it that she lied to so many people so effectively? Quit giving Lori the benefit of the doubt. She is a cold blooded manipulative murderer. Chad didn’t cause her behavior. She did what she did and tried to cover it up. That’s not delusional, that’s straight up evil.

I wish all the pictures and your speech could've been seen and heard during sentencing. I cried so hard hearing what an amazing young lady Tylee was. Thank you for sharing all of that with everyone.

Thank you Summer for sharing wonderful memories of Tylee with us. My heart hurts for you and your family also. The pain in your voice is felt. When we think of the brother or Chad, being involved, and believing in all this, it gives less credibility to her having mental illness.

Something they need to understand is that Lori isn't mental ill. She has several different personality disorders. There is a marked difference. She,has had these her whole life but, lost control when she met Chad and decided in her sick and twisted mind that he was worth more to her than her own children. She is a born predator.

And this is backed up by all the marriages she has had. She jumped from one man to the next each one being able to offer her more until the only thing a man could offer her was to raise her up to a godly state. She already thought she was untouchable. Her brother Alex worshipped her and that confirmed her belief. I think they killed Joe Ryan and got away with it. But everyone is right. Lori is less mentally ill and has several personality disorders.

I can’t even imagine the fear, confusion, and betrayal those beautiful children experienced when they realized their own mother was killing them

I am bawling my eyes out here for Tylee. Thank you to her wonderful Auntie for this tribute to a special girl! It breaks my heart to hear the type of mom that Lori was before everything went awry...who would have known the potential for what evil lurked beneath???

I think Summer is also a covert narcissist and just knows how to "ACT". She kept smearing JRs name, even though it was proven he never abused those kids. Joe got custody of Tylee before he was murdered and Summer didn't mention that Lori was the one that was found to be sexually inappropriate around her kids. Summer also still wants to try and paint Lori in a good light, while blaming a "mental illness" for her sisters ( evil ). The whole Cox family is just evil and they shouldn't be aloud to speak about JR like that sense he was cleared of abuse charges. I think Summer should get sued by Joe's family sense she's still trying to slander his name.

I have a good friend who was convinced that Mark Zuckerberg was trying to contact her. She brought it up most days. How I reacted to it, is that I nodded, or didn't say anything. A few weeks after she stopped saying it, she thanked me for simply listening to her and not deriding her about her comments. She said it helped to hear herself say the things out loud, which allowed her to hear how odd they sounded. That said, Lori isn't delusional. She's an opportunistic liar. She was calculating in her manipulation of dozens of people around her. And still is. She's a sociopath whose disorder was under wraps until her relationship with Chad uncovered it. His encouragement and involvement spurred her on to commit the crimes she needed to, to get what she wanted.

Summer, I am so so very sorry for your family's loss. Thank you for sharing with us. 💙

I feel disgusted hearing her nice comments about her evil sister in her statement. No one wants to hear that crap. This is about Tylee not the monster that got her brutaly killed.

Sell everything she owns and give it to Colby. Colby needs held up, he's struggling. I feel so bad for these families. Lori's statement was a slap in everyone's face. Do not put a penny on her books.

I have 2 kids, this makes me cry. I am glad Summer was able to give Tylee this beautiful tribute of her life and I refuse to let Lori's evil overshadow the memory of these 2 beautiful souls, JJ & Tylee. They are 2 beautifull kids that will remain this way for eternity.

She can go on National Television to speak to Nate, but she can’t go in front of the Judge and read her statement out loud to advocate for her niece and nephew! She’s a disgrace. Don't fall for the tears, emotional routine, or the vulnerable, childish demeanor. You will never completely know what the tears are for. Lori supposedly shed a tear reading her sentence. She had some emotion when Kay mentioned $1M to have the children back. You have no idea what Summer's tears are truly for. Is she crying for her whole life being blowin to hell due to Lori and Alex? She does have a lot to be emotional about, but she needs to get her priorities straight about what is happening here. This entire Cox family is out in la la land. When Summer put that montage together, did she think about the miserable day to day existence being Lori's daughter? We don't know half of it, what went on behind closed doors!

Guess what I remember, Summer? The last picture of those children at Yellowstone, with their murdering Uncle Alex standing behind them! Shut up about Joe Ryan. Joe Ryan was not a molester, nor the cause of Lori's problems 20 years later! And Lori never came close to being an ideal mother, ever! She was and is a total fraud!

Summer did say in that phone call that she was glad he was gone if he played a part in the murders. Don't know what she feels about him but it has to be difficult, knowing that the family you loved had something to do with a heinous crime like this.😥💔

She sounds so much like Lori. She’s beautiful and has an air of elegance about her. I hope she finds all the peace and healing, she and her family, SO deserve.

I think it's sad that she is stating that Tylee was abused by her father especially when he is dead and it's been proven that Lori had issues from way back. It's easier for some people to believe part of the delusion so they can justify their position. She still believes in her sister even though she's a murderer. I believe in justice and think this family needs to understand they have a murderer in their family. This seems harsh but what those two kids went through because of their mother was pure torture and nothing this sister will say will change that.

Just because he's dead and she has issues does not mean that he was not an abuser. His own sister says he had rage issues and would take it out on Colby. It got so bad that her kids were begging not to go back and Colby also stated similar things about him. CPS can fail kids and while I don't know if Tylee was abused or not, Colby went through physical and emotional abuse by him while his mother did not protect him and that's not okay in itself. CPS might have been right about Lori but they failed to do anything about either side and you can't vilify or sanctify one side or the other when both parents had issues. That's my thoughts on it, peace out.☮✌
