Loreena McKennitt's singing sends shivers of ecstasy from my brain and down my spine.

Love Loreena!!! Two stories. I discovered her in about 1990-1991 in a Women’s Studies class we watched a film from National Film Board of Canada that had Tango to Evora in it- I was shocked at how moved I felt and left Uni to immediately buy her album. Around 2000 in my job as an OT with a client who is a beautiful poet with dementia who told me how her favourite poem is Lady of Shallot- I played Loreena’s version- such a bonding moment. My family will see you (again) here in November in Calgary!!! Can’t wait!!! Thank you for coming again to Western Canada I cannot wait to see my daughter’s eyes as they see you play live- you are amazing!!!!

Loreena McKennitt is the artist I would choose if I was only allowed one artist to listen too. Loreena is my favorite singer in my long life.

My friend and I were huge fans of Loreena Mckinnett when we were young men (around 18yo). As soon as my friend heard her, he instantly bought ALL of her albums. He never bought an album in his life. Incredible singer. Good times.

Spooky; I was 18 when I was introduced to her (via being shown a live concert recording) and brought two of her albums a week later. I even did a High School film project to her "Stolen Child" recording. Never looked back and class her as my #2... David Bowie is my #1, not gonna lie.

I love this recounting of the Lady of Shallot especially. It's the ethereal voice, themes and arrangements that attracted me to her since the late 90s and I can listen to her songs on repeat without EVER tiring which is incredible on its own.

Loreena I was just talking to my lil' sis about your music last night. How Dante's Prayer and The Highway man and The Standing Stones really hit us. Thank you for being apart of my last 20 years.

I’m a psychic artist & while I was listening to Loreena’s album, I drew Loreena as a tree. I drew her on wood & I placed herbs as her hair or leaves. I used peppermint, lavender, rose petals, jasmine flowers. Because Loreena is so creative, she was a pregnant tree, always birthing new ideas. I usually create 8 ft tall tree women. I fancied the idea of decorating a ‘Lost Entwife or Found Entwife’ Stage Background for her music. Instead, wrote a book. My father was born in Canada but was sold in the 60’s scoop to a Freemason American family. He hated them and I hated them too. My father took his life bc he could never find his mother in Canada. He was born in 1955 & I do not think l will ever know my fathers blood family…lost souls like lost Entwives

Thank you for this interview, as I'm a huge Loreena fan. I was hoping she would talk about "All Souls Night". It was my first song of hers and still is my absolute favorite. I love all of her songs, and consider them my favorites as no other artist awakened my creativity and opened my heart. Please have her back and ask her to go into details of the making of "All Souls Night". At the tilme I heard "The Visit", I was learning of the Celtic traditions and made many friends who practice the Celtic/Pagan traditions and I felt the old ways losing ground and my heart ached. My heart ached for all the cut down trees, and I wanted to regain the old ways of living, loving, and taking care of our earth to keep us happy and healthy. Thanks again.

I simply love Loreena! Her energy is not from this world! When I listen to her, it feels like i’m breaking the walls between the material and the spiritual world and landing in Avalon! 💙💚

I first found Lorena when her LIPAT album came out around 1992. She truly is a gift and muse. When she came back after tragedy so many of us cheered and truly were thankful. Wonderful career!

I followed Loreena for these 30 years. Not a single day has gone by without hearing the most perfect voice of humanity. For sure my DNA has been altered and in the next life I will be at a higher level. I can only say, thank you for existing.

When people say: there are no real musical artists nowadays. Real music died in the ‘70s… I’m always like: Um, Loreena McKennitt anyone? But people don’t know who she is, which is depressing. But say Cardi B, and they lose their minds. Sad world we live in, but at least we have Loreena ♥️

These younger generations seem especially shallow and uninformed with their musical and cultural tastes. With Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, etc. being held in such high esteem. And singers like Loreena and Annie Haslam, as some examples, being unknown to them.

Loreena McKennitt might benefit from he shou Wu, which restores hair color, if she gets the quality stuff. .nothing wrong with her hair as is, as silver hair is a crown upon a man's head, so probably a queen too. I mention in case she might like to reclaim it. It worked for me. Which being in Canada, there's Orthodox churches, where it'd be good to hear what she could do with songs as Agni Parthene. Theres the English, but I can't recall it. I think she could do the song some good.
