I have admired Loreena's musical prowess and creativity for many, many years. I also found her writings just as fascinating. It is wonderful to listen to the machinations of a kindred mind. I always thought of mine as resembling a butterfly which appeared to flit, rather aimlessly, from flower to flower. Others may not see the connections as I go off at tangents but I can 'join up the dots'! I would love to hear her give more talks. A truly wonderful woman.

Ideas emerge from deep consciousness otherwise known as the muse, spiritus mundi, etc. One can develop a close connection to the deep subconscious - a door if you will - that the artist can open and access for original ideas, concepts, creative inspiration and the like. I'm a creator on multiple levels - poetry, songwriting, acting, visual arts. I'm not famous because I've never pursued it, but I am very proud of the quality and originality of my work. Art should always be for art's sake - not for any other reason. If it's tainted with politics or social issues, it flattens out to mere propaganda. I adore Loreena first of all for her intellect and second for her music. It's years after this interview, but she is still my preferred music artist.
