Devolver continues to find great devs with creative ideas. Thanks for the review and thanks for always mentioning the controls. Glad to know a game like this plays well on Switch as it seems more intuitive to use a keyboard and mouse.

I had written this game off as looking a bit generic from the screenshots etc, glad I took the time to check a review, sounds like a great little gem I'll be adding to my wishlist!

I have not understood what exactly this game is until this review. Well done and I am so tempted to pick this up.

I saw necromancer. I'm sold! I remember seeing this on the eShop and thinking I hope the SwitchUp guys cover this one. Can't wait to pick it up. Thanks for the review!

I really loved this on pc, and was super excited for the switch port. Totally happy it got a good review and can't wait to grab it.

Ive been waiting for this one for a while, started like an hour ago. Its even more addicting than it looks. Its actually really fun with a stylus i got from super mario maker. Super smart they did touch control.

I really enjoy the art of the game

Hey, sorry to be a bit off-topic, but I want to thank you for mentioning your NYXI joy-cons and providing that discount code for them a few weeks ago! I now own those joy-cons myself and I'm impressed! Finally joy-cons that aren't so tiny that they hurt my hands using them, and aren't cheap knock-offs with no motion control or rumble! I've been using them non-stop since I got them last weekend and I'm enjoying it! Still need to test the motion controls properly, but so far I'm a happy gamer 😄.

Devolver digital have the magic touch on the games they put out they’re always pretty good I wasn’t sure on this on but after seeing this video I’m definitely picking it up as soon as I can. Thank you again for such a good review video

I watched a little play through on your mates channel (switched on) been waiting for your review looking forward to this. Definitely could slip into the never ending story era.

It took me a while to get into and grasp this game, at first I was so perplexed, but then it clicked and now I'm hooked.

Soundtrack bangs in the whip.

First saw this from a Hades streamer I watch at times, looked super weird but ended up having a ton of fun with it even for a roguelike, and those are few and far between for ones I like. The unique gameplay and beautiful artstyle is an amazing Mashup and a must have game for fans of the genre.

I don't think it's for me but I'm glad it turned out well, at least. It's always nice to hear about games done well, even if they're not my thing.

I preordered this and put an hour into it before work, and all I could think about all day was firing it up and looping some more. Good god, this could be it… the game to break my crippling addiction to Destiny 2! Awesome review too, you’re bang on with the visuals, but somehow I can’t imagine it being any other way

Really interested in the visuals on this game definitely going on the wishlist for sales notifications. Probably worth the money but I’ve been stocking up my back list already with all these sales your channels has been turning me on to. And mh su break is coming soon! Gah.

Makes me remember Monster Sanctuary but more related to the rogue style, Devolver Digital has become a master in indies selection

I have 150h on the steam version and I instantly pre-ordered it on the switch .The chiptune soundtrack is great, the pixelated graphics look gorgeous and the gameplay is fantastic. I can only highly recommend this as well. Love this game and totally agree to your fantastic review.

I was interested in this when I first herd about it based on the description, but now I definitely want to give it a go. For something that is unique, you haven't mentioned the learning curve; am I gonna feel dumb because I don't understand what is going on? I don't mind dying a lot if there is a purpose (e.g. Flame in the Flood) but it's depressing when it happens because you can't get the hang of something rather than it being part of the game play.

I got this game to be my "stand by game" and after a first couple of loops it became the only game I was playing for a couple of days.

Got to admit i was going to pass on this game. Just seen your review and have purchased and downloaded it. I also got ForTheKing while it was on offer! I just wanted to say thank you for the awesome channel and content. Its a breath of fresh air. You really do bring back the memories of old gaming mags. Coming from a 40+ year old gamer its a great to see you link back to older systems. Loved the shout out to the old ZX Spectrum. ManicMiner, SabreWulf, AtticAttack, Hunchy….. ahh the memories :) Thanks again lads and keep up the great work!

This is the kind of game I would love if I could just commit to the time needed to learn all the mechanics!

It's really not hard to learn and to be honest... I had fun just figuring them out myself. Adds to the mysterious nature of the game.

That thumbnail really got me, the game is really referencing sans and that alone got the interest of people lol

The thin piece (or couple pieces) of cardboard really does the trick. Very easy to open and put it under the joystick. I've replaced multiple joysticks on my joycons, but the cardboard is an easy fix.

There’s a great documentary on the making of Loop Hero on No Clip. Check it out at a time when you can watch it (not just listen, unless you speak Russian) as it has a lot of subtitles.

Awesome review. I played this when it released on pc and loved it. And watching this review I have the itch to play it again. But the BIG question is, do I like the game enough to buy it a second time, JUST so I can play it in bed… I’m leaning yes. It IS an awesome game and the soundtrack does hit really hard. Thanks guys!

I can’t tell if this game is going to v be my biggest headache full of deja vu or if this is going to be the most fun I’ve had in months. It looks pretty bland until you’ve added more cards, then gets a bit busy. I guess the only option is to dive in and see what happens! Thanks for the review letting me know this existed :)

I have those joycons. Massively prefer them to the Hori Split Pad. And it really didn’t take that long to get them to the UK - although I thought they were coming from the US and not China
