We have two Phonix Wright collections currently on Switch. I'll certainly take more as I love those games, but I thought I'd make that correction here in the comments.

I guess the 2020s were meant to be Sonic's renaissance holy God. Two good movies, a great Netflix show, a great game, ANOTHA great looking game on the horizon....and given how Tails and Knuckles were fixed in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 I have no doubt that Shadow will be returned to form in movie 3, if Sonic Prime is anything to go by. What a decade for Sonic. Love to see it.

Here's the difference between Rune Factory compared to most other farming sims: It's not all farming, you have RPG combat against monsters and can befriend them instead of choosing to defeat them, if you give them the right gifts. Furthermore, you have RPG stats and equipment. And unlike Stardew Valley, this RPG combat is not restricted to one area, most of the world you can do RPG combat. Infact we have bosses to fight and magic spells unrelated to farming. As well as a story to go through. As someone who likes non-realistic farming sims, and RPG, it suits me. I'm probably biased with farming sims though, as I used to live at a farm, and sometimes had to do work there

Lots of mistakes in the script, got facts wrong and skipped some huge releases, but otherwise great!

trying to figure out if you're joking when you say that we don't have any Phoenix Wright games on the switch is melting my brain..... but in case it's not, other than the Investigations-spinoff games, and the Layton crossover, we have everything else! The original trilogy was released some years ago, and we got the Great Attorney Chronicles too

I'm really looking forward to the new Fantasy Life. I played the first one for over 120 hours and it was soooo good.

Can’t believe he forgot two games made by Nintendo, the princess peach game and Luigi mansion dark moon remake.

It was the only otome game on the list and he just skipped it. I understand he isn't part of the core demographic for that game, and most of his viewers probably aren't either, but I don't see the point of mentioning it if he was just to skip over it like that. It kind of irritated me a little bit, to be honest. 😅

@@jellycatfish TBF, he said in his Digimon Survive review that he's NOT a reader and therefore NOT a visual novel person. Still, yeah, it annoyed me, too, TBH. lol. Even if you're not into it, at least tell us it's an otome about a circus or w/e! lol. (I went and researched it, too, curious about why he skipped it! lol. Pleasantly surprised! Looks really good, I think! Will pick it up eventually, on a good sale! :D)

21:46 Umm, what? We have the Phoenix Wright trilogy, not in the West maybe but it certainly plays in English. It's one of those games that I feel really demonstrates the no Region locking being a huge asset for the Switch and is a must buy for the system. I really hope that Metal Gear gets a retail physical release that doesn't involve Limited Run Games.

I have never played Super Mario RPG back on the NES but I've always wanted to play it.

I'm SO hyped for Super Mario Bros Wonder! I'm a huge Mario fan and I can't wait to see what they're going bring to it, the trailer looks incredible.

Super Bomberman R actually got a lot more love after the 60fps patch, doubling the frame rate that the game launched at, and I guess Super Bomberman R Online did well for them to make that sequel

i'm glad to see that Bomberman is recovering from his Xbox 360 abomination, i thought that franchise was DoA, now i can see that there is hope for the franchise yet.

21:41 The Apollo Trilogy more or less seals the Ace Attorney bag for Switch actually. Since the Phoenix Trilogy and the two Great Ace Attorney are on Switch, even physical in Japan/Asia. The only games about to be missing will be the Miles Edgeworth Investigations spin-offs. They will hopefully arrive one day too 😊

I got the phoenix trilogy and I've been loving it. It's something I've always seen and thought about and I'm glad I picked it up and I'm slowly working my way through the cases enjoying the light-hearted and funny dialogue.

I don't think the Dual Destiny is on the Switch? Isn't that one still a 3DS exclusive? (The one where Athena seems to get a big star part and with the singing pirates?) Or has that made it to Switch too and I've managed to miss it? or USA only? While not the best of the PW series (I stand by the original PW for that admittedly), they still had some charm I felt and let you see a little more into what happened after Apollo. Also some nice little throw back references to the original games. I would like to see all of them eventually make their way to the Switch ngl.

The only games i plan on picking up day 1 are Sonic Superstars and Super Mario Wonder. Have a lot of games in the backlog to get through first. Will pick up Detective Pikachu, Super Mario RPG and Wrestlequest next year i imagine once i've cleared that backlog. Want to get Red Dead as well but i'm not paying full price.

You forgot the other games from Level 5: Fantasy Life i, Decapolicy, Megaton Musashi X and Inazuma Eleven

Wow, I didn't realise so many games were still to be released this year, I'm definitely adding some of these to my wishlist. My favourite thing about the switch, besides its portability, is that they are so many different genres of games available. Whatever your age is, your gender is, your mood of the day is, you can always find something to play :)

We also get Bomb Rush Cyberfunk very soon on August 18, which i'm very looking forward to 😁.

Bomb rush cyberfunk hasn’t gotten much official coverage other than a short sneak peek at the last indie showcase but it’s supposed to release on Aug 18th it’s like a spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio

Alot of these look good, but you know what I'd like to see? A Basion sequel. That game really stuck with me, and I'd really love more of it.

Norn9: Last Era (August 31st), Even if Tempest: Dawning Connections (October 26th), Hana Awase: New Moon (October 26th) are all releasing this year as well. I wish you didn't skip past Radiant Tale so quickly without even mentioning what the game is . Totally understand if visual novels aren't your thing, but if your goal is to highlight all upcoming Switch games, then even if it might not appeal to you, it very well might for someone else. It would really be of help to such a niche genre if these games didn't go unmentioned or swept under the rug in the future. Love your videos, Wood!

I've played the Steam Demo of Little Kitty Big City, and its... so very cute. It has a bit of Untitled Goose game as in you just wander around the city (Trying to get home) and just complete random side quest (harassing people long the way) while trying to complete what you need to do to get home. It's not ground breaking, but what was in the demo was cute and you get to just break every potted plant you come across.... No i didn't do this, what are you talking about...

I mean, we do have Phoenix Wright collection of the first 3 games. We also have a collection of the 2 most recent games that only came out in Japan before. So... Yeah the only games missing were the 3 games included in the new collection coming. We'll have all ace attorney games on switch soon

I have high hopes for Hogwarts legacy on the switch. The Witcher 3 shouldn't have been made for the switch but it did and it plays very very well. How the heck they are getting Batman Arkham Knight for the switch is insane also. That game is massive. I really think Hogwarts is going to be fun

When I heard that the Batman Arkham Trilogy is coming to the Nintendo Switch I immediately wanted to cry because I always wanted that game to come to the Switch I am so happy this happening I am scared it will be bad port hopefully this is a great game that comes to the Switch other than that I am super excited for this trilogy to come to the Switch!

Fae Farm is my top game as I've been watching gameplay since they announced it and Ive been craving a cozy experience since Stardew got old and Animal Crossing stopped getting updated, AND Disney dreamlight has so many microtransactions now its annoying... so I am very excited for Fae Farm - the multiplayer feature for cozy games are my favorite part about cozy games because its like you get to share your decorations with friends and its just cute and nice. Seeing all the gameplay for Palia looks like fun as well but the look of it reminds me of Fortnite which throws me off but im sure will be fun. I will probably try Vampire Survivors, Blasphemous 2 (although I kinda wanna play the first one first), Detective Pikachu, it looks ridiculous & because of that I want to play, Mario Wonder & mario RPG I am definitely buying, and Ive never played the persona games but when I saw the chibi's I thought - that might be fun. Vampire Masqurade blows my mind because its on PS5 and its super high quality - but the switch version looks BAD - I think they should of done Vampire Masqurade: Bloodhunt instead which is a free part of the game (I think) thats like warzone and apex legends almost but with vampires. But honestly would probably run bad on the switch - SWITCH 2 though - maybe better. I am just hoping when/if Switch 2 drops theyll drop a new animal crossing game with it because so many people still play new horizons.

I'm so excited for Little Kitty Big Kitty! I'm also looking forward to Toxic Crusaders. I love Troma stuff, and if that wasn't enough, the soundtrack by Psychostick was enough to seal the deal!

Imagine how good it will be to play the Arkham trilogy on Oled screen.

The only 2 games I'm looking forward to playing on the Switch are the Super Mario RPG remake and Super Mario Bros. Wonder

You should've covered Tokyo Xanadu, Ys Oath in Felghana, and Mameda Bakeru. The more coverage we get of those games, the higher the chances we get them localized. They are fantastic games.

I definitely hope Tokyo Xanadu eX+ gets localised, especially since most of the translations are already done on the PS4 version.

Moving out and Blasphemous 2 I am really looking forward to. Havent really ever played games like them and really want to try them out. Also, love the content beatemups, been watching for years!

I’ve been waiting for world of horror even though it’s technically an early access game but it’s roguelite style and horror rpg looks like a vibe.

Still no mention of Suikoden I & II HD Remasters and they were supposed to be released before the end of this year. Also where is Eiyuden Chronicles: 100 Heroes or the new Fantasy Life?

Just wanted to say that i listened to this video so much already now. Your voice quality is so high Wood. And that makes these videos such a joy to listen to while playing games.

You suck at parking is amazing. I learned about it from some random French streamer, and its soooo fun. Just learning the optimal strategies is great, the art style is also very visually comforting

I hope we get see SquareEnix release a physical port of the Kingdom Hearts games with the release of Switch 2 when it comes out, that or SEGA remastering the Puyo Puyo games in a collection (Fever 1&2, the 15th&20th Anniversary, Puyo Puyo 7 and Chronicles that came out on the ds). Those are the games that I would love to get to play on the go.

Hogwarts legacy can easily run and look amazing on the switch. I don't know why everyone thinks it cannot. It's not hard to believe

So many games to look forward to. Switch fans really are getting a nice end of life selection of games for the system. Side note: Not only am i looking forward to Harry Potter coming to the switch, but i hope that its a top tier experience for the system. I refuse to hate J.K. Rowling (or anyone for that matter) for their political beliefs, and im not gonna stop being a fan of something that I've loved for years just because some people cant help but be offended by everything.

Though I don't plan to own Steam Deck, it would be fun to see your review of it :)

Little Kitty, Big City has a free demo on Steam, and it's really fun. It doesn't do anything groundbreaking, but it hits all the right points to be a fun game.

I'm currently playing the closed beta of Palia and it's honestly a LOT better than I thought it would be. Super addictive. Characters are more memorable than I imagined they would be and the graphics are pretty. Gameplay mechanics are good and overall the game is running smoothly!
