    Do you plant trees for future cutting? If so what kind and what kind of trees are you cutting now? This is really interesting. Learning about tools and new skills is cool. I miss my dad.

    Awesome splitter. I have had mine for about 12-15 years 26 TON bought at a hardware store $999. I just started looking for a 4-way splitting head. I have some bigger pieces to split from a new delivery

    Try removing the red shroud before grinding the wedge down. It may be engineered to be that thick and changing it may make it unsafe. The four way wedge is the way to go though. Great video.

    I have to split my firewood as well, I use my father in law splitter that he and his dad created out of an I beam and a motor. This attachment might be very useful for me. Thanks for the information

    Grind it to fit and bend the side guard flaps out to allow the splitter to come all the way back.

    instead of grinding on the ram, and possibly jeaprodizing it's integrity, could you possibly grind the 4 way attachment? Just curious. It looks like a very good attachment though.

    Hey Taras, just have someone weld a couple of horizontal flanges with a sharpened front edge to the maul that's on your log splitter, _bingo,_ same effect.

    Hey have you tried to put you splitter in the up right position it makes ot a lot easier to split wood because you can sit down and split the wood

    You can add height to the part that the log sits on instead to raise the log to the correct height.

    Try to grind or cut with a torch the attachment instead of the splitter, it's worth less than the splitter head

    Yeah torch the bottom of the 4 way splitter. Also grind off the red flaps back so that the attachment can return to the ram.

    better get hakki pilke the best wood choper there is!! and it even has a belt for the chopt logs to go into your trucks bed! type hakki pilke and there should be a one that is attached to a tractor...I will explain how it works- so u put the log onto the belt that is on the other side and the u press a button to push the log to the chain for it to split and then it's drops into the hole where the cylinder pushes the chopped log thru the sharp _knife_? idk how to call it and then the wood goes onto the 2nd belt and it drops in ur truck..but it's expensive...in Europe it's about 3500€ and u can split in 2 4 or 6 pieces but the knife is about 400€ and u can control the height of the blade AKA knife :)

    You need a sled to catch the ones that fall off. It would attach to the side plates of your splitter.
