Thank You for your Heartfelt comment! Really liked the way built the small cabin. I liked thr fact that you used long strong nails, to make the cabin sturdier. I was hoping to see you complete the inside, and give it that comfortable feeling. Were you going to add any type of flooring? Really enjoyed your Video!!

Nice job! I would give it a 7 out of 10 for a couple of reasons. First, extending the roof eaves a bit on the sides would keep water from running down the sides of the cabin and keep runoff away from the ground next to the bottom logs. Digging a line of shallow trenches to guide any runoff from the roof away from the cabin would help keep the ground next to the cabin dryer. The trenches could be lined with rocks if they are easily available there. Second, extending the roof beams a few feet in front of the cabin to make a covered entry or small porch would help in several ways. I do like the outward opening door. It would help to keep snow from blocking the door in the case of a heavy snowfall. It would also help to keep the ground in front of the door from becoming a mud puddle. The overhang could also serve as a place to keep some firewood dry and easily accessible, and maybe even provide a bit of storage to free up space inside the cabin. The same could be done on the back of the cabin to provide a dry storage space for extra firewood. If those things were done while building the cabin, it would not be a lot of extra effort. Maybe adding a back door, if a back storage area for firewood was added would be a good idea as it would provide another exit in case of emergency and easy access to firewood stored there. Are you going to add a floor, inside?

Спору нет , но один минус полы высота хотя бы 10 сантиметров от земли , входная дверь 250мм от земли, выпадет снег , а это бывает зимой , вылазить через окно придётся, печку лучше обложить камнем и стекло ! Одно сохраняет тепло более продол жительное время и созерцание ОГНЯ создаёт УЮТ !!!!! А как ПЛОТНИК с ручным набором инструментов ТЫ 99,9!!! 🤔👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I watched, and immensely enjoyed, each one of these current log cabin episodes. For the purpose for which it was built, I applaud you; GREAT job!

The front door should always open inward. The way you have it in the video means you can be trapped inside by something blocking the door.

Opening outwards is more secure though - it's much easier to kick open an inward door if you don't mean well, or are a bear, etc.

@@Family_In_The_Woods I am dying of stage 4 Non small cell lung cancer I’ve been going to treatments with immunotherapy called KEYTRUDA , what is attacking my adenoids in my upper kidneys . so we are stopping treatment so now I die and I noticed the difference I didn’t notice right away. I noticed a week later I’m so weak that I can’t pick up a pie dish, a glass pie dish to bake anything I could barely walk. hospice came so I know that I’m bad but the doctor didn’t tell me. I was bad but I knew I was bad when they came in and this week after the bloodwork, they brought a toilet here three things of oxygen there’s two little ones to carry around and one big thing and if the electricity goes out then I can use it for five hours they said and they brought a wheelchair. I’m so scared out of my mind I just can’t believe it that you can’t feel lung cancer you cannot feel it. The only thing you start feeling is weak and tired and sleepy and pressure on your shoulders. I can’t believe how fast I’m deteriorating and I don’t know how to spell or punctuate so I’m using my phone please pray Jesus comes because I know who Satan is He is here and it’s right there hidden in the Bible. I was up looking at the KZread and at 2 o’clock in the morning. It just showed up out of nowhere this channel so I looked at it and it’s hidden. It’s hidden right there in the holy Bible, Satan is here. Does that mean Jesus is coming before I die?

Did u know u were destroying Sasquatch Structures and near the end u were cutting trees beside a fresh Sasquatch tree break. They were watching u the whole time. Awesome job btw.

Extending the eves, and the over the door roof, could be as simple, as saving the labor of cutting them off. The walls might need to be one log higher ~ to prevent head contact with the porch/roof. Love the 2 angle roof line.

This is one of the better ones I have seen I like his engineering I wonder if he would find me a distraction if he would build a cabin for me next door

Лес прямо золотой для строительства домика, столько валежника сухого и прямо калиброванного. Видимо хорошая буря проходила и лес ,видимо, болеет. Санитарные рубки делать надо, уборкой заниматься. Зайдет короед, хуже будет. Не нравятся такие фильмы. Что придет с детским топориком и пилкой груши подрезать и начинае строить. За кадром всеравно бинзопилой работает и не один. На верх одному не поднять и заготовку боригада ведёт с лесником.

I logged for many years and I can assure you all the trees he used were dead. The ones he cut down were dead standing. In another year or two they would have fallen anyways.
